Hi Rebecca! I'm in the USA and shop at a grocery store that doesn't supply small plastic bags, so I buy (in bulk) brown paper lunch bags to use instead! They are cheap and work very well, and when I have produce that isn't wet, such as tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, or potatoes, I can reuse the bags! I keep a bunch of them in the trunk of my car for those impromptu grocery stops ha! Hope you are feeling better each day that passes :)
Now there’s a smart idea! I still, the bags must weigh some thing. Are you getting a fair deal?

I love how you notice and enjoy all the beautiful colors of flowers, fruits and vegetables. I do the same thing! 😊
I also love how you admire the look and feel of beautiful packaging. As a graphic designer specializing in package design, I really appreciate when people notice such things! I really enjoy your ASMR, but I also enjoy the effort you put into the visual aesthetics of your videos. It’s so pleasing how you arrange everything on your table like a prop stylist would. I haven’t commented in a while but I think in the past you responded that your mother was an artist and you may have some creative background as well, I can’t totally recall. But in any case, keep doing what you’re doing because it’s lovely!!

I had just finished watching the no-talking version when the notification for this one popped up. I was already almost asleep watching some of @SouthernASMR Sounds old organization videos, so I decided to wait on this one. But now, it's 0445 and I'm awake again, so this will be perfect to put me back to sleep. Especially since I've already seen what you got and watched the haul. I can just relax and enjoy the sounds. Hi Rebecca - My senior dog is having a tough night. It’s heartbreaking watching him slow down. Finally got him resting comfortably with some pain meds and using this to help chill me out. Thank you for always being a source of peace and calm. ❤️🩹🐾

I had a terminal diagnosis about 18 months ago. Thinking about that takes me to a dark place. I use all your videos to go somewhere else and they help to relax me and enable me to sleep. Thank you Rebecca from Cornwall England
It’s hard to have words when being told something like this. If you sat across the table from me, I’d have something very different to tell you than what I’m going to say here. Especially as this is a public place.
But what I would like to ask, is if you really believe that their diagnosis is valid and do you have any hope of fighting the illness?
Yes the diagnosis is a fact and I have always been very healthy so it surprised me. As to fighting I can only say I eat a healthy diet and try to keep as active as possible. Hope your knee is not too painful and that you get well very soon x

The best videos are the food shopping for me, can’t keep my eyes open! Hope your knee heals quickly, I had a hip replacement 6 yrs ago, was very painful but not as bad as a knee replacement I believe! Take care and take it easy ❤
Thank you so much, Sharon! A hip replacement is pretty rough and invasive. But I have also heard that it is not nearly as difficult as a knee replacement. I wonder why that is.

Hello ! For fruits and vegetables, we can chose in france to use paper bags, our own tote bag or plastic bags for some who arrived already in plastic.

Kroger is buying Albertson’s. I think they already own Safeway and a couple of other stores. So maybe you’ve been to one of their relative branches.

I didn't hear your question about the produce bags the first time, was already sleeping 😅
In my part of Germany most of the supermarkets provide those plastic bags, but you can also choose to bring your own mesh bag or take the produce without a bag. When you are weighing the produce yourself, first thing is choosing the type of bag. Some stores provide biodegradable bags, some have paper bags. When you buy your produce at the farmers market or a store that only sells fruit and veggies, it's always paper bags or you bring your own reusable bags.
Since you wash the produce at home anyways, I mostly don't use any bag and just put everything in my "Jutebeutel" at checkout.

Thank you so much for that input, Brittany! I’ve been hearing about these mesh bags, so I ordered some from Amazon and I’m looking forward to trying them. My biggest concern was how dirty the conveyor belt is and keeping my produce clean. Thinking the mesh bags will allow me to wash everything when I get home a lot easier.
Really enjoyed going with you to the kroger, when I was a little kid growing up in Michigan well until I was 6 years old, I remember we went to Kroger but we don't have them here on the West coast. I hope you're feeling better from your knee surgery and take it easy, we all love you very much!

Hi Rebecca! LOVE LOVE LOVE all of your videos. You have helped with my anxiety more than I can say. I am so grateful. Here in North Carolina we have the plastic bags for produce and paper ones as well. We also use reusable produce bags. The cashier just takes the weight of the bag off at the time of purchase. Those tortilla chips Xochitl are pronounced (so-cheel). I had to learn that for the grocery store I work at lol.

We live in Italy now and we use bags but they're compostable bags. Almost all the shopping bags and food bags are compostable. Also, we have to weigh and price label our produce before buying. The cashiers gets annoyed if you don't because they don't do that at the register.

I live in South Africa and if I go to a general shop, most veggies or fruit is pre packed but if I go to a fruit and veg shop we also have plastic bags that we can weigh our things in 🥰🇿🇦

i live in colorado and this year they passed a 10 cent bag fee, next year stores will not have plastic bags at all, i use mesh produce bags, they're very light and now i see my farmers market using biodegradable bags now

We use plastic bags for fruits and veggies in Sweden too, but lately we've started using paper bags instead since it's better for the environment.

In the UK supermarkets provide brown paper bags for fruit and veg, or you can buy a reusable fabric drawstring bag to put fresh stuff in. You only buy it once, but you have to remember to take it with you every shopping trip!!😂 Much love to you from England. X

We have similar mesh bags too in Finland. Some people sew their own too. And of course there is plastic bags, Normal and biodegradable.

In Mexico they no longer give plastic bags in supermarkets, but paper ones, although you can also bring your own cloth bag

Hi, Rebecca, how are you? It's me again😅 My husband had a total knee replacement surgery 3 day ago. Since I like this video, I thought of you. How is your knee now? I think doing well, because you posted snow walk video etc... and now I totally understand you said "life easier". My husband is in pain, and needs a lot of assistance. He likes fruits in general, and just like you, he likes grapes and mandarins better, he willingly snacks on them. So I have to get some more. Then, I will enjoy the crinkle sound of mandarin package!
Make sure your husband gets straight into physical therapy! So important. I didn't go soon enough and I paid for it. But I do pretty well. I will never be as whole as I was once but it's still way better than the constant pain of bad knees.

They closed the one in Lexington NC, just a few miles from my house.
In the stores here in the uk we have to pay a tax on plastic bags here its 30p to 50p for the one time use thin ones and if you want to use a reuable one it is £1 normally if you dont want a bag they put out the boxes the produce come in so you take one of those and pack your shopping into that to put in your car or bring your own bags/boxes baiscally what ever you want to use to get it back home
Fresh produce you can still get free bags like you did except they also have scales to weigh them and print a label to stick to the bag too. Cool huh

I hope you are healing well and the pain os not excruciating. What pain meds you on? Glad your daughter drove you heaven forbid you drive i know you guys have autos there but nah driving after knee surgery and meds is akin to being on drink and drugs behind the wheel to me stupid and reckless
