You miss the point entirely. It's "the hero's journey" set to an interdimensional epic. In the end, the rest of the story is backdrop for the singular hero's story arc. At least that's my interpretation.

You touched on the exact issue I thought of after Jane Foster sacrificed herself. The sacrifice became pointless, the battle with cancer became the same, because they just briught her back immediately. Any investment in comic books is marred by the fact that no one truly dies, and everyone can just be brought back, and that is why their big stories fail, because we know there's no consequence for anything. Even when they're imprisoned they simply escape. Comic books kill any emotional attachment because at the end of the day, nothing happened. Nobody loses anythimg and that's crappy story telling no matter how good the concept may be. I suggest they emulate anime. And let stuff end.

I love a good chunk of these characters and I like superhero comics alot but after a while these sort of things just feel meaningless since they in essence eventually just go back to the same way as they began. I'd like something like marvel ultimates again, where for the most part, events were concrete and when people died they stayed dead.
I think Rob is spot on in his final analysis. The stakes are equal to Secret War but not nearly as epic, so it just feels overblown with no narrative purpose.
It wasn't. Elysium was only put into hades in Virgil, Aeneid, Book VI.The entire religion before then had it as a seperate place - don't take all your real world facts from games mate, or at least check before talking shite :)

Because there are aspects of the Multiverse in which things like the nothing void before existence doesn't have an incarnation. And he was who can handle it, he would just do it before it got to that point but not as it obliterated ours necessarily

I actually did find the pay off to be worth it. A happy ending for all. Comics, movies and TV shows these days are all about doom and gloom and shock value. I’ve had enough of the negativities. A happy end for a story shouldn’t be a bad thing.

Marvel missed out on an opportunity in bringing in all of their heavy hitters, utilizing then and having a tremendously battle play out for their comic book world, and even possibly for the big screen MCU.
Would love to see a Disney remake of Hercules, but it's slightly different and at the end we see a scene where Herc is in the modern age helping out these kid and at the end of the credits we see. "Hercules will return in Avengers 5" and it turned out to be a marvel movie all along

I don’t think Chaos king was destroyed. He was cast by Galactus, Amadeus, and Herc into the artificial dimension which Hera created ( I think it was called Continuum) to hold Hercules. Amadeus even explains that this dimension is completely isolated from the Marvel Multiverse. That is why letting Mikaboshi have what he wants there was safe. So He took all that he has consumed with him. And there inside the Continuum took on his primordial form of pure Chaotic Void there, but didn’t affect the rest of the multiverse. As we all know Herc was brought back from this artificial dimension. So the Chaos King can return too.

I had him pull me this whole storyline as well as the tie-ins and if he doesn’t have something I told him to order it. So I’m going there Sunday morning to get my books. Best this is he keeps my credit card on file and just bill it so I walk in the shop go behind the desk I have my own box where all the issues and story’s that I am following are I pick them out and walk out. It’s super convenient. This guy is the absolute best! If it’s on my list he puts it in my box bills my card and all I have to do is walk in and grab the stack of comics. I love it! How many other people out there have a situation like this? I know there are other places that do this for their customers. I just wanted to how many people actually do this. Pretty sure in Greek mythology their "Heaven" is in Hades as well. Hades is just the afterlife period, with different sections.
