Tide turner = Trimping
Loose Cannon = Jumping

Caber + Loose Cannon + Tide Turner = Caber Trimping, the alternative to market gardening.

I use that, but with the grenade launcher instead of cannon, and take out Tele's. If it's uncovered (so not in a building or guarded by sentry) I go for the GL, if it's in the open (aka entrance next to spawn) I go caber. Sometimes get lucky and people come out as I hit it xD.

the thing about overwatch mobility is that its unearned. mobility in tf2 is a skill, a hard one to learn.

Felix Crouching isn't really necessary (only at the start to slide up the ramp) but many people who have rocket jumped will usually hold down crouch while in midair as well. lol.

Im really glad that you teach people these simple things, trimping is kinda hard at first but seriously it gets so easy, its also really nice to know there are people like you out there still alot! i already knew how to trimp when watching this but it'll help others so yea :D
+Nate Fox I found something cool in Mann Power mode, when you are using the grapple hook, jump while traveling then you will go higher and kinda increase momentum, at the same time it will cancel your grappling but you will be fast as heck and try mixing this with trimping (If there is a ramp). it is also useful for surfing.
Thanks for this mate, i play demoknight alot with the turner and this will surly add to my mobility if i can get it right. Ive always had a tough time trying to learn rocket jumps and this seems a bit easier. Youve given this player one more thing to add to their tf2 arsonal.

I have a great melee idea for demo. I call it, the Demo-Gardener. It crits when sticky jumping or above ground after a shield charge. No random crits and 20% slower fire rate and takes off 20 healh.

No, its not easy.
You can't jump from the floor directly like at rocket jumping, you need to shoot against a wall and let it explode right at the wall.

+ethics It is easier then rockwt jumping and can be done with no walls. Just charge it and before it explodes jump and itll explode and you go insanely high.
When I'm charging midair and I hold A or D while moving my mouse while still charging does that affect me or my speed in any way? Even after my charge is done do does that decrease my speed?
You can do it if you want but no, A and D do not control the charge in any way.

Yeah, I'm sure I missed quite a few even, and that one had 25. Next is badwater :) Had some amazing things on it so far! I took one of the badwater ones I saw iReima do (CHECK THIS GUY OUT) and basically extended it. Pretty fun stuff. Going to begin editing it now.

I can't steer while trimping I just slammed into a wall and fall off a cliff while doing the rock, paper, scissors taunt in helltower map
use tide turner and dont wear the boots.boots make it difficult

MixavitaPlus they have already removed the old way to trimp which WAS a glitch and exploit but then they made an item giving the same thing so all in all they removed the glitch and gave us a legit way to do it.

Thanks for the tutorial! Once, i did trimping on upwards when our cart is near the third checkpoint. i strafed my way to the cart when there is 60 seconds left and pushed the cart to the third checkpoint, saving my team!

Do you not press w in mid air like normal jumping?
Won't do anything while are charging
You never press w with any of the jumping
Don't hold w in ANY jump you do
1: you already know your going forward
2: you lose a lot of speed when you do that.
Fun Fact - In Harvest, on the BLU side small hut with a 50% heal medikit, there's a tire that is angled, which can be surfed on.

There's an awesome one you can do on harvest on the ramp leading to the roof of the little shed thing with the health pack in it. You go from there straight into the enemy sniping spot.
There is also strafing where you press a or d and turn your mouse so you curve and turn instead of going one direction.

And charge-turning is pretty similar to W-airstrafes, as I see.
Claidhemhor adds .5seconds longer to the charge which sounds like nothing but can add a ton of in air momentum while charge is active

Trimping become so much more fun when you use the claidamore for longer charges and loose canon for canon jumps
I use persian persuader because you get the recharge faster, so you can trimp, recharge very quickly, and then run out and attack them with another charge. Plus a lot of the time you can land somewhere people would not look and you can just sit there and wait for your charge.

i like to use charge strafing as simply a means of accelerating. by playing a lot on low grav servers, i have learned to effectively gain speed using this technique. after jumping, start turning to your preferred side and right away press the the opposite leading direction key (a if turning right and d if turning left) to in-turn continue moving in the very initial direction instead of having to find your way through the air by means of strafing. this eliminates the speed-building side-to-side strafing and sets you up for turning back to the very initial direction and now, almost immediately, being able to see clearly where you are charging. this makes it easier to maneuver mid-flight since you no longer need to account for the extra turns needed to go in the direction you were initially facing and planning to head towards. all you need to do again is, with your mouse, turn 90 degrees east or west of your initial direction and press the opposite leading direction key. this is probably old news to most, but i hope this helped new jumpers :)
Turning is important because it ignores the speed limit set by the sheilds when charging.

for those who still dont understand why you have to turn soo much
its like strafing with w you use w like its d or a but have to turn 90 degrees more in the direction of strafing
so much nice music in this video.
The reason why you're flying through the air when charging is because of mouse/W strafing + air acceleration, a feature in Source Engine games.
W strafing is basically like A and D strafing but instead of curving with your strafe, you're curving *in(wards)* with your strafe which makes it significantly harder than A D strafing.

Hey Nate, try using the claidheam mór while doing this. It'll give you some extra distance during your charges for some extra jump distance. Just a thought.
