You are doing a good job. Couple of tips for you: * When putting thread tape on male threads, holt the fitting in your left hand - thread on the right side, put the tap on clockwise, over the top and it wont come off. * If you have a fitting not line up vertical or to a specific position, just add or remove some thread tape and it will change the end position due to the thickness of tape used. * To stop the water spiting and remove the air, leave a tap on & on hot when filling the tap.
With your John guest fittings you can get inserts to go in the Pipes and locks for the fittings , fit them to your hot side ,stops the pipes from popping of when they get a little soft.anywhere that sells the fittings will have them

Yes I did use those in all my hot water connections. I showed them in the video I did on the freshwater plumbing.
Ok sorry I missed that bit love your setup by the way
Although I'm a more infrequent traveller than yourself, I hope to meet you on the road some day. I think you're incredible.
Congrats! That has to feel pretty good to get that accomplished.
Looks good. Except I think the pressure relief valve goes on the hot side. You may want to double check your instructions
The instructions say to attach it to the cold water inlet. So does the installation video by the manufacturer.
Does this hot water heater require a open vented mixer tap?
Do you seal up all the holes through the bottom of the bus that all these hoses go through?
Yes. I put silicone all around the hoses where they go through the floor
