- The Playita Rosa is a natural pool set in the ocean. It’s part of the La Parguera Nature Reserve in Puerto Rico. The government built this dock and pool for tourists and locals alike to enjoy the beautiful turquoise waters.

I see a lot of comments saying what’s the point of this. These pools are very common in Australia, especially Sydney, except the pools are formed out of rocks from the natural coastline. Locals love them because they’re usually more accessible and safe, plus you don’t have to worry about sand!
Check out places like Mahon Pool, Bronte Rock Pool or Bondi Icebergs if you’re curious.
I remember when i went to Sydney, fun time lol, i swam in one of these!

Everyone commenting that this is a stupid idea and asking “why swim in a pool when u have the ocean wth?” needs to watch the full video or watch again if you don’t understand. Its not exactly a pool, just an enclosed area that keeps big fishes and seaweed out so that you can swim in the ocean but without those factors. You don’t swim in the ocean next to it because there isn’t a beach and its dangerous. Besides, this is a good form of tourism.

We have like these but carved in rock in Australia! I think it’s better especially in regions where we have the most toxic jellyfish that are either too small to even see or blend in the water and you don’t see them until they sting.

It won't exactly flood. It really isn't a pool, just a enclosed area of ocean that filters out sea weed and fish. Water just passes through.

This is good if you have kids who need supervision too. Most of my friends when we were younger wanted to swim in deeper water but needs an adult with us. Especially if there's a mild or strong current going on you wouldn't be dragged towards the ocean.
