The player did follow him back to first base. Why?
Because they were still chirping at each other. If the ump is still talking, he's gonna keep responding.
He was also protesting, because the ump was going against the league's approval.
which 42 is who?
That was outstanding to watch. I am sure the 1st ump ever ejected will claim racism.
Does anyone have a clue as to what this is all about ?
Why do so many of the guys in white have 42 on their backs. They should have different numbers. What am I missing?
Jackie Robinson
Negro Leagues jerseys on Jackie Robinson day.
“#42 seems to be incensed with the umpire tossing #42, who then is being held back by #42”
What started this?
Wow that stadium is packed huh?
Why didn't security and game management get out to the filed and put an end to this right away?
The Umpires are game management.
My question is why are the players wearing different uniforms?..is this a all star game?
What happened after this game did they get a new umpire ? Who won this Game?
Another was called in that was local. Three umpires are required in minor leagues.
I know it's in honor of Jackie Robinson, but It's kind of funny that every player has a different logo on their front, while also all wearing the same number on the back.
WHERES JOMBOY!!!!!!!!!
Did the umpire got kicked out
This umpire should not be officiating any sport
I don’t watch sports, but I’m trying to figure out why all have the number 42? Is it a memorial to one, or instead of a team name, do they use a number? 🤔
it was jackie robinson / salute to the negro leagues day
@@themarcernay I got ya. I knew something had to be up. Haha. I noticed in another comment, you were the announcer. What a nightmare THAT day had to be to make sure who was who! 😂😳
hugely helpful to be around the team regularly and know the faces … and the roster was mostly intact all season
@@themarcernay You did great! 👍
How many number 42s are there out there??? What's with the guy that was wearing a "Chicago" uniform??? LOL Great sportsmanship ladies!!!!!
it was jackie robinson / salute to the negro leagues day (rescheduled after rainout a few weeks earlier)
How many times do I have to watch the same scene repeated over and over and over again??
easy answer: 0
unless someone is literally forcing you to click the “play” button, in which case you should call 911
🤷♂️
Some umpires really need to be retrained or at least have an Ego change
Kinda random but I was so confused at first when the camera pans to the dugout cuz I was like “Why are all their jerseys different? It it an all-star game?” Then I felt dumb once I realised they’re wearing the negro leagues jerseys on Jackie Robinson day lol
At least you realized it. Many people didn't.
Great call by game announcer!
thanks … wanted to make sure our radio audience could “see” everything as it all played it
definitely wasn’t easy, given that there was no way to tell what would happen next … or if/when play would resume
