    Just installed my CDT-5800-C II, completing my 5.1.4 setup. Easy install. Wish I had a 'rotor zip" to cut out the hole (like the installer used in video) but made due with my hand saw. I'd say the most difficult was holding the speaker up inside the hole while screwing in that first screw, as those screws are long and it took a long time to manually screw in. I switched to using my power drill which made it MUCH easier and faster. After Dirac Live calibration, my system has come "Alive"...these speakers sound fantastic! I'm re-watching all my Atmos movies with a new set of ears! BTW, I'm a 73 year young female and proud of what I've accomplished!

    Great video. Liked the natural style. Biting to split the the speaker cable & looking for the template. Love the bullet holes in your t-shirt.
    Cheers 🍺 🍺

    I didn’t see you connect the wires to the ceiling speaker. Is that a thing?

    Hi, great video. You said they don't accept banana plugs but you were using some media bridge banana plugs. Can you please share that product link? I don't see that in your description

    thank you, seems like a good choice for atmos.

    The best connection is the bite the speaker has right on the wire. Banana clips don't make a true solid connection.

    Polks have a really flat sound that is heavy on mids. it is pretty much their "signature" as every Polk speaker will sound similar. Klipsch will have a much brighter high end and deeper low end with mids being lost at times. The louder you get the more "harsh" the high end will be. But, with that amp I am sure you can throw an EQ on it and get them to sound quite decent.

    Wow looks amazing! So you can just put them in ceiling and no box or anything required to prevent fires?

    What if we have towers, bookshelf’s, and a center channel with at least 6 in ceiling atmos speakers, all from klipsh. (Klipsh rf-7 iii towers, klipsch rc-64 iii center, with klipsch bookshelf’s (I think they are the rp-600 or something….), and 6 or so klipsch 5800 Cii in ceiling speakers? Would that all work out to a good sounding atmos home theater?

      I would think that as long as your amp is powerful enough to drive that many speakers as hard as they should be, it would sound awesome

    I really like the "toggle switch" type security feature on the speakers. It's alot like the plug in boxes too. I hate having plaster walls. Cool video.

    Hi, thank you for showing the process. I was wondering how you manage the cables from the amp to those speakers in the ceiling. I am thinking of installing ceiling speakers in my house and have a vaulted ceiling but also an open floor plan and I don't yet know how to do this. Thanks!

    How so you connect audio wire to this ceiling speaker. I see the speaker connecters terminal have a spring loaded push down motion but I cant get the audio wiring to stay. The twist connecters terminals are so much easier. Any advise?

    What type of wire connection is required for the Klipsch speaker? I only heard they don't accept banana plugs.

    • @gregoryyoung9581
      @gregoryyoung9581 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Regular speaker wire. The banana plugs are optional and not needed

    I know you should rely on a sub for the lows, but if you had to compare these to the polks for the low ends what would you say? I like deep base audio...

    • @housestuff
      @housestuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the polks don't have as good of lows as the klipsch even without the sub. But a sub really would bring either system to life

  • @RussManK3
    @RussManK3 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would these be better in a box compared just throwing them in the ceiling?

    • @housestuff
      @housestuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think these are designed specifically to be installed open air in a ceiling. If you wanted to go the box route, you could probably find much better speakers for less money to put in the boxes

    • @pf5658

      Yea 16 should be more than enough to handle the wattage
