- After many weeks of planning this video in my head, I finally decided to make my dream a reality. I know that nearly all of the people who clicked on the thumbnail probably had no idea what they were going to watch. I know that its very different from most of the fallout videos on TH-cam , which mostly consists of mod videos, how to videos, and "lets plays". Anyway, being that this is the first video on this channel, I want to let you, the viewers, Know (no matter how little of you there are) that the videos you'll see here will most likely be much like this one. Thanks for watching my first video and, if you liked what you saw, maybe you can punch the like button or maybe even subscribe for some reason. There's more to come.

Cappy Blastems On Very Hard mode? Don't know, fighting Mirelurks gets tedious with 11 strength (maxed out strength early on, found bobblehead) and a baseball bat modded to the best. Because they ended up blocking every swing. Then again, Deathclaws don't block so it sort of makes sense. But you'd think those grapples would be a an issue.

I know I'm going to get hate from this but, I respect Kellogg. And I forgive him. I mean, you see his entire life. His life is almost exactly like yours. And the thing is well, Kellogg is like a dramatic representation of what your character could become. A good man broken, turned into a monster at the loss of those he cherished most...
I think that was the point of Kellogg. He was a foil to the protagonist, and hence was great.
The things is, Fallout 4 is a tricky game. Because it's beautiful. It has its moments, and it works so well as a story would. But that takes away from what Fallout is, and that is an RPG. It looks so revamped, and so polished, that the quirky formula that made it work out took out all essence of originality and modeled it into a linear model.
And you basically become him if you become the OB in Nuka-World.

I strongly agree, if the roles had been reversed, the Sole survivor could have easily ended up the same way Kellogg did (My characters often do turn out that way. Twisted, and angry, and driven by revenge). I see his side of the story, but I'm not sure in-character I could ever forgive him.
I felt bad for him when I discovered his memories, how his life was. I wish there had been a way to make him a companion, and have him help you get into the institute with a speech check or something.He's one of the most interesting characters in the game.
you watch as you become more like kellogg yourself. you have remained when others have died around you. You become little more than a lone mercenary, clawing at any caps you see. Kellogg's first and only mistake was leaving you alive in the cryo chamber.
Never forget your character, and the life he or she may now lead. Think of their choices, wrong, right and everything in between.
The next job, or whatever.
I did a playthru with the immersive gameplay mod on ps4. Finished with the BOS as Sentinel. Destroyed the Railroad as soon as I got the chip decoded. I'd had enough of the Synths shooting at me and seeing them tear apart the commonwealth like raiders. University point was the straw that broke the camels back. Now that the Commonwealth is safe from the Institute Im taking the minutemen back to the glory they should have had before everything fell apart for them. I now have BOS knights at the castle alongside the Minutemen and Minutemen at the Boston airport as well. Funny thing is, Preston has not complained once about the BOS.. yet.. 18 settlements established so far with 20 people on avg in each. Still more to go. Bos and Minutemen flares plus the buffed minutemen mod make it very interesting to say the least.
Lol Bethesda should hire you to do game trailers - if they haven't already.
First they'd need to make a game worthy of this man.

You no idea how happy your comment makes me. I showed this video to a few people I know ,and all they had to say was "its good" or "it took you two weeks to make this?". Sure I was happy to hear them say that but it wasn't what I wanted to hear. This video isn't simply a Fallout video with music ,and voices in the background, it's a story about a broken man, forced into a destroyed world, and driven by love to find his kidnapped son. This man only now learns what happiness truly is. All of it was taken from him in so "little time". Sure, the plot could have been written a bit better, but it is without a doubt a beautiful story.

Bluepanda Honestly these videos about the factions and the main character trying to sort his way through a destroyed world. these series of videos are beautiful, and really capture what I think Bethesda was trying to capture. It makes me wish that fallout 4 was better. Still, great video.

I totally agree. Fallout 4 has a very cinematic feel when you play it.
It sort of is. But an interactive one lol. Nah, but I could see it being a great movie lol. Kind of like the Lonesome Road DLC could have been.
Surprisingly enough, Kellogg was the best character because he is what the Sole Survivor will become. Pretty unique btw.
Perfectly capture the depressing as f*** main quest of FO4, now we need some Nuka-World!

The glasses on your character look really funky and some of the editing that's in sync with the words could be a little more action based and on par to really build up that epic journey feel.

I know they recently added some new things to the "Building" aspect of the game so i dunno if they added more guns or shit like that.
+Sev3617 I used to be on the same page as you. For most people when they are given a chance to make a character in a game (or something similar) they will consciously or subconsciously make the character to look like a better version of them-self. So this is why I gave my character glasses. Now, to be honest, after 20+ hours of play when I finally found some glasses, I was very disappointed. I looked at him and thought "dis motherfucka look like he bout to teach me the French Revolution". To me, he looked stupid at first, and I refused to believe that Fallout 4 didn't have the eyeglasses that were in F3 and FNV. But after a while of slowly adjusting to my characters appearance, my perspective swayed into a positive light. I no longer viewed my character's looks as dumb, but rather unique. One of a kind. Moving on, yes that is the first gun mod released on the nexus, and yes I agree that the dialogue in this video sucks. In fact, looking back now, this whole video sucks.

Controversial opinion, I just want for fallout 5, I just want another fallout 4, but with a different story setting etc, no new mechanics or extra weapons and quirky game modes, just fallout 4
I don’t know if you’re still reading comments, or even check your channel anymore… but this truly is amazing. I’ll occasionally remember your videos, watch every single one of them, and instantly start a new game of Fallout 4. From my first Brotherhood playthrough, to a modded Enclave playthrough, and more. You make such incredible videos. The music fits, the visuals and editing, and how you show the story. It’s like a trailer for a game you’re supposed to watch after beating it. It’s incredible. I hope you have a great life in the future for whoever is reading this!

This video deserves more recognition
Thanks man, I'm actually working on another Fallout 4 video which should be released within about two weeks. It's going to follow the railroad quest line ,and will have a bunch of improvements to quality (TH-cam resolution), camera angles, character movement, etc. Basically the next video won't have as many problems as this one.

I think about this video a lot. It brings back a lot of memories. Say what you want about Fallout 4 but when it was the only game I had I loved being in that world.

Thanks. I will be making much more videos like this in the future, and I will eventually move past Fallout 4 to games that don't require me to "make cutscenes". Stay tuned, I'm 1:24 minutes into editing the next video and in my opinion it's much better than this one so far. I guess I know what I'm doing now.

This is a high-quality and skillful tribute to Fallout 4's first half. You very effectively tell the story of Nora/Nick's journey to find Shaun through dialogue and visuals, without needing to spell every detail out, and equally competently underscore the journey's theme of loss. Well done.

What really made this for me is the choice of music it fits perfectly with the first part of the game
I've always loved that quote by Kellogg and hearing it in this was awesome this should have been the fallout 4 trailer if it didont spoil so much.

I love the premise of fallout 4 and it's story. Kellogg represents the average player lost in quests and survival.
I still come back and watch this every one in a while...
I can understand how this game may not be as well received as other games (started out with 4 currently replaying 1 & 2 now then nv. 3 if I got time) but characters in this game are extremely memorable and varying different personalities
This Is absolutely beautiful, truly shows the nature of the game. That you keep fighting, so you can understand, find what you were truly be put in this world to do... Not find your son, but find yourself.

Saw this vid years ago when it first came out and it popped in my recommendations again. Watching it again I can really appreciate how good this cinematic is. The transitions, the placements of the dialogue, and the emotions he makes you feel with it all combined with the music. It makes you really appreciate the story that Fallout 4 was trying to tell us. And to think it was all made by one guy? Good heavens he's one talented guy! I hope he comes back to making more cinematics one day

Beyond beautiful, amazing. it shows you put in some much care and heart in too this video. there are no words I can express how deeply you have captured this story, this video makes me forget about the main story too realize it's a great story about a father finding his son, more a man who goes too great lengths to keep a promise too his wife he loved, sometimes I keep thinking that this story is the most deeply sad, yet hope and happiness knowing this father will stop at nothing too keep his promise

I liked it, the inclusion of Kellogg and his philosophical view on happiness as well as the comparison between prewar and postwar memories of the SS really gave this video that touch of emotion that really hit my soft spot, good job!

I know this is 2 years old but this was amazing and truly, originally beautiful in every way. Sometimes games like these make you see what was in front of you all along when you didn't even realize it was there in the first place. Making you understand l, in this case, what happieness actually is.
