You missed Hasedera, which is a left turn on the road to the Daibutsu. Some great shots of the coast from up on the hill. Let alone some interesting things in the temple.
I enjoyed my visit to Kamakura in 2017 and yes I went inside the Buddha and captured it on video. Hope you went to Hasedera Temple in Kamakura, it is beautiful. Nearby Enoshima (Sea Candle) is very popular and next to it is Chigasaki, where a lot of surfers go. I know a female Japanese surfer here in Australia, named Sachiko, who won a surfing title at Chigasaki. The other side of Kamakura you have Zushi Beach a very popular beach for families etc. And right around on the other side of Sagami Bay there is Hakone, which is also a very nice place.
It's obvious you really have a fond spot for Japan in your heart 😊 The surfers surprised. I don't know why, but I wasn't expecting it on a chilly November day.
I've never stayed at a capsule hotel and did not visit Kamakura. Very nice to see your perspective on it and certainly something I would consider in a future trip!

I'm going to Japan for 11 days at the end of this month. Second time in Japan. I've been wanting to go to Kamakura, but not sure I have enough time during this trip. It looks awesome though. Will you still be Japan over Thanksgiving? I'm thinking of visiting the cat temple near shimokitazawa if I can't fit in Kamakura!
@@FSVR54 haha I wish I can go for a month and a half, but I have a full time job. Luckily that allows me for this to be not once in a lifetime but actually my second time in Japan and def not my last! Have the best time!
The beach looked pretty nice, I have to say - and the capsule hotel looked wayyyyy better than we expected. I don't recall you sharing those panda bears...just sayin'. 🤷♀️😂
Yep... I once almost missed the bus to Narita by making the (foolish) mistake of trying to cross from the West side (Marunouchi) to the East side (Yaesu) without a train ticket. It's a labyrinth down there... 😅
Waowao, you were spending in this Capsule hotel , weren' t you? how was it ? could you sleep as well ? yes, three years ago. many foreign tourists were being in this small Hotel for many days to save their money. you wanted to experience to stay in there, didn't you? by the way, are you going to go to the countryside of Japan? if you are going to go to there, you shold go. In Japan we have 70 percent negative forest in our land, so these forest may give very good negative ion to your mental situation. OK I wish your trip will be fun more and safety trip.
I wonder what are you doing so many days in Tokyo? japan has so many cheaper and authentic cities to go visit! Go to those cities, dont stay in Tokyo too long please
Great news: Japan today has finally opened up its borders to travelers! It no longer requires travelers to submit to the "safe and effective" jab and instead a PCR test is enough. It follows Singapore in a similar move.
Kamakura deserves a whole day of exploring, that was always one of my favorite places to go

Kagurazaka is a nice little area near Waseda which seems to have a sizeable French presence. Not sure why...

Hakone is a nice place. You can see Mt.Fuji from here. 🗻
You guys should check out Enoshima island as well. Take the Enoden line from Kamakura and you can walk right out to the island. 🎉
Is it possible to see the Buddha, bamboo forest and Enoshima in the same day?

if you have time and like Onsen, you might visit Hakone. You can take train from Shinjuku to trip all the way Hankone

Dude 30 dollar for capsule hotel so expensive. In KL recently that money can get you airbnb condo with 2 bedroom with infinity pool, gym and etc.
