What is a MOBA?
Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas, or MOBAs for short, originated as a sub-genre of the RTS (Real-Time Strategy) genre. Because of this, in most MOBA games, the player takes control of a single character from the isometric (top-down) view akin to most RTS games. Typically, in MOBA games, a player takes control of a single character on one of two teams. Those players choose characters that all have their own abilities, or “kits”. To win, the players must use a combination of abilities, teamwork, and strategy to not only best their opponent, but destroy the opponents main structures. A bonus to the genre is that most MOBAs are free games, which is definitely a contributing factor of the their massive success. The genre has many titles, the largest of which being Defense of the Ancients (DoTA) and DoTA 2, League of Legends (LoL), and most recently SMITE!
What is SMITE?
SMITE is one of the more recent free MOBA games to enter the fray. In SMITE you don’t just choose a character, you choose a god. You’ll instantly feel an attachment to characters like Thor and Zeus because even if you don’t know the lore behind them, you’ve at least heard their names before! What makes SMITE so immersive is Hi-Rez Studios’ inclusion of historical lore into the gods’ abilities, kits, and play styles. Thor and Loki aren’t just characters from Marvel comics and movies. They’re also a part of Norse mythology and you can take control of them in SMITE!
What makes SMITE different?
SMITE takes all of the strategy of the top MOBA games and adds another layer of difficulty by putting you into the action! Unlike most MOBA games, SMITE offers players the chance to experience the MOBA genre they know and love from a third-person perspective. This unique perspective allows for an extremely immersive experience unlike any other game in the genre. While this doesn’t sound like such a big change, once you play it you’ll understand! All of these things added together is what has gaming websites everywhere continually rating SMITE as one of the best MOBA games available!

Who else thinks her ult should turn the ground to water in a line in front of her that slows enemies and instead of explosions on the ground it should be rocks that she is dropping to keep true to the lore.

agility??..you really called an ability agility?...who tought that was a good idea? its like calling hercules ult - trhowing or cabrakans 3 - punching....also im kinda dissapointed she doesnt turn into a bird during her passive... everything esle is..ok ( the passive is awesome tough)

with the vamana one i agree, it is a lazy name for an ability..but the difference between "reach" and "decoy" is that decoy is a specific action, it creates a decoy so it passes since it's not a lazy name its just what it is.. reach in the other hand has a poetic touch to it, like reaching for someone's hand in a movie...my problem with agility is that it could stand for any type of movment, jumping, running, crouching, dodging..

At least they fixed the Teleport bug. In the PTS, her passive would activate after using the Teleport relic, enabling you to fly into the enemy fountain and back into the jungle, since both fountains trigger the passive.
I main Jing Wei if u build critical chance just use 2 and 1, 3 and 4 are to get away, use 2 because with critical chance after 3 arrows and 2 basic attacks the enemy is pretty much dead so when they run use your 1 they die,

When they were making her, that was her ult, but it was several of them. although bc they were trying to make a god with high mobility they changed it, bc the original you couldn't move while channeling the ult.

not the gods name, the name of their abilities. Abilities like "explosive bolts" in this case. sounds very generic and doesn't feel like related to the story, maybe you can call it "Enchanted Resentment" which she Enchanted her hate towards the ocean on her arrows?
Smite had so much potential, especially since its 3rd person. Too bad that so many things that couldve worked and made this game cooler werent and arent being used. It's just "another" moba but in 3rd person instead of being something special.
They should've desgined the heroes better imo. For example look at league or dota. If a character has something to do with time, they can either rewind time, stop it or something similar. Smite had this when the game launched, a characters/gods lore or characteristics turned into abilities etc. Now the gods feel too generic, too similar and simple. Each has a leap, each an attackspeed/dmg buff etc. I get that it's a moba and you need an attack damage carry hence therefore them ending up being the same with slightly different kits. However smite could've been so much more imo. A god example (Sol in this case) whos abilities could've been different than just placing a damaging aura spell on the ground, could've instead been maybe a damaging aura that damages people the closer they get, similar to a suns heat/fire. Another god example would be Nox whos the goddess of night. She has an ability I like which lets you jump into another teammate and hide inside them. However this could've also have been made differently? Maybe her using shadows, or darkening the map so that she may hide in the night/darkness etc. Point is there are so many ideas and cool things to do and still make them not op/viable etc While keeping the game fresh, epic and different. However smite doesn't do this anymore. I know there are some gods that have had some unique abilities, like the god that can mount etc. It's nice to see stuff like that it reminds me of what smite could've be. Anyway sorry for the big post, I hope you understand what I mean. Peace!
My friend who plays league a lot says the same thing about abilities. I still prefer this moba more now that it's out on ps4 and has good gamemodes

Plz Hi-Rez, nerf his passive, but buff other abilities (except the 2). And fix his ultimate, she is the ONLY god who lose his ulti if she his killed during the channeling.
Not at all, if you do Amaterasu's ultimate (that is 3 hits) and you get killed while doing one of them, or just starting it, you "did" it and the ulti goes to cooldown

Most of hirez's designers are bad at this game. Yes, some like ponpon, clumzy and ajax are really good and can easily be in diamond but the others that we probably don't know are not that good

The amount of mages compared to the other classes is ridicilous and we have enough assassins as well, but only 11 guardians and 11 warriors compared to 24 mages is stupid. especially because i dont like any of the guardians that are available right now a few more guardians would be nice

I honestly think the passive is just fine, since it makes up for the rest of the kit, which isn't overwhelming and a little inconsistent.
