My heart skipped a beat when I saw your first hand swatch. I was never into matte lipsticks until I got my first Velvet lipstick. Once I was playing around with Velvet Dragon and forgot I was still wearing it and fell asleep. Woke up and it was still as I applied the night before! Didn’t transfer on my pillow or sheets.
I pretty much only wear Lisa's lipsticks. Never had any issues, none of them have broken. I think her lip products are unmatched, the pigments she uses and the undertone compositions are just superb. The Luxuriously Lucent formula varies from shade to shade though - Love of my life is much more pigmented and smoothing on the lips, than Dance Card for example. The glosses also vary in opacity, GoLightly and Muse are less pigmented than Blush and Beauty. But both the sheer lippies and glosses feel great on the lips, very hydrating and nourishing. I really enjoy the blush formula too (I only got Pink Soap, but will probably grab a couple more shades when she restocks). The highlighter was a bit "meh" for me, I didn't really notice any magical lifting and tightening, but then again, my skin is still in a pretty good condition, so perhaps that's more noticeable for people with more mature skin. I am super excited about the foundation she will be releasing in the Fall though 😅
I bought a Velvet mat lip kit last year with the liner, lipstick and gloss all coordinated and they were all gorgeous. I bought the Highlighter and lipsticks and glosses with this collection. Really happy with them all. I got 2 of the Lucent lip colours, they are really comfortable and lovely colours and 2 of the gloss which isn't sticky whatsoever. Feels very nourishing. I'm happy with the highlight too. It does appear to blur the area when you leave it to set down as she suggests. I got the Cosmic Rose which seems very natural, almost blending with my skintone. Blushes were sold out when I ordered, but I might go back when she restocks.
I love how you explain the textures and your application process so thoroughly. It's really helpful to hear what you see is happening and then explain your theory on why it occurs. I just love how your reviews are always so in depth!
I really wish I would have picked up pink soap! I went for Dante’s Dream and I love it but pink soap looks so stunning for everyday. I also picked up one of her velvet lipsticks, I managed to grab Velvet Fawn which is the most beautiful nude shade. She will be restocking again in fall, I highly recommend that shade. I love the formula and the velvet effect is such a cool touch. I have since ordered another in Velvet Muse (pretty similar to velvet fawn but deeper with a touch more Rose) and after seeing this I am really wanting to pick up some of her reds! The velvet lipstick is really what stood out to me as particularly incredible. I really like using the highlighter on my bare skin under my foundation. It has a really cool smoothing effect when you use it that way. I have normal/oily skin and it works great as a base. I appreciate that she infused skincare into her formulas too.
For liquid blush lovers, even that who had an oily skin I can recommend Revlon photoready cheek tint, I have it in shade spotlight, It's like gel consistency texture, it's put in place even wearing mask and not lift foundation at all. But I usually fix it with powder blush on top as well 😉

The lip glosses are SO GOOD... and I don't like lip glosses like that. I only bought one, since free shipping, and wish I had purchased more. Lovely glide, stays forever, great undertones, not tacky- just beautiful. I have pretty large lips with a defined cupid's bow similar to you and the gloss makes my lips look plump and perfect. I am a lip girl so I am always looking and man, glad I tried this one.
They look lovely on you, Kat! From this release I bought Pink Poetry blush, Cosmic Rose highlighter and the lucent lipsticks in Love of My Life and Rose Official (all of which I'm super happy with). Enjoyed your first impressions! I bought the Island Glow shade of the blush which looks deep, but actually is sheer, and more the color you normally go for. I’m more comfortable in pink, so it was stepping out of my zone. I own the Velvet Morning lipstick, and am halfway down the bullet. I thought it would be my least favorite of the reds from her, but I love it. I have thought of you many times while wearing it, since it is a favorite shade of yours, so it’s a real pleasure to see you apply it. I have to pan this lipstick before I will allow myself to crack open another of her reds. Also it applies well over a light dabbing of sunscreen lip balm.
I'm glad that you're enjoying what you picked up! That made this a really enjoyable video to watch. Lisa Eldridge has some beautiful products but from what I've heard her re-stocks/launches tend to be bloodbaths and frankly I just don't have the energy for that.
Originally I wasn’t going to get the blush for the reasons you mentioned (lifting, etc) and I have a million highlighters. What sold me on them though was the firm-flex technology in them. 😻 Everything looks great on you-would love to hear how it looked at the end of the day. 💖 I also love the luxuriously lucent lipstick formula. So smooth.
I've recently got EM Cosmetics serum blushes, and I have been able to set them with a light dusting of Hourglass ambient lighting powder. It does make them a bit less shiny but takes away the stickiness But the packaging does suck 🙃
The subtle makeup in the beginning of the video is beautiful. Edit: I love the blush and the highlighter and of course all lipsticks look marvelous on you. Kisses.
I’m a total LE Stan 😬 I agree, the blushes slightly unexpectedly breezed forward to steal the show. I prefer the velvet and insanely saturated formulas to the luxuriously lucent ones, but they are lovely too. The lip glosses are amazing. I rarely wear gloss, but I love hers. Completely non-sticky, have some pigment to them. And even when the colour has worn off you can still feel like there is moisturisation there. I’m with you and wish the doefoot on the highlighter (which I love) was smaller - I consistently dump too much on my face.
I bought a bunch of things - because I'm so pale and pink-toned I got Dante's Dream blush which has a bit more depth to it. I wish I'd got the rose highlighter though as it seems much lighter than crystal nebula (which I also got). And I got 3 lucent lipsticks (Kitten Mischief which I haven't stopped wearing, Painterly & Spirited Away) which feel lovely. I also have some of her mattes and glosses and seem to wear her formulas exclusively now! I have to say out of 8 of her lipsticks I've not had a problem with a single one🤷🏼♀️
I got 4 of these - for everyone who has different colours they mix sooooo well together. So Pink Soap is great for toning down other colours. I way prefer to apply with a dual fibre stipple brush.
Definitely try out the blush with a brush 😊it blends so well you don't need to apply much pressure or buff at all so might not lift your foundation! Thanks for the review, everything looked beautiful on you ❤️

I LOVE her lipsticks! I am a collector of her lipsticks at this point lol. My favorite matte has to be Velvet Fawn, it's truly a beautiful nude. The cream blush in Dante's Dream is so beautiful and blends beautifully. I didn't have trouble blending with a sponge though and it lasted all day! I only have Spirited Away and Painterly in her other lipsticks, and so far I prefer painterly. They both pull more berry on me.
Supposedly it’s a close dupe for Velvet Teddy from MAC. That’s one of my perfect nudes which is why I was confident ordering Velvet Fawn online, but it sold out too fast.

I just love her highlighter (Solar Light) and blush (Island Glow) on my 67 year old face it doesn’t emphasize my texture, I have dry skin. I’ve tried my fingers with the blush but I’ve never been good using my fingers, I tried a brush and beauty blender and they both work. I don’t have a cream bronzer and I like putting my bronzer on after I powder then blush. It worked just fine doing it that way for me, I’ll have to break down and get me a cream bronzer to do it the other way. Can’t wait for her to restock her blushes. I bought 3 more of her lippies too ( Kitten Mischief, Spirited Away, Rose Official) these are more of a balm, not long lasting but very pretty. As someone else already mentioned be careful how high you roll up the lipstick, I had one of my mattes break off but I was able to put it back in. She has great customer service, if you have ant issues just email them, they always respond within a day.🥰

I love Lisa’s velvet lipsticks but they aren’t my favorites because they are breaking at the bottom of the tube super easily. Indeed, I have 9 of them and 7 broke. Having said that, once I commented this on their Instagram page and their customer service DM’ed me and they sent me all the 7 lipsticks that were broken. Even the ones that I bought 2 years back. It blew my mind. I didn’t order anything from the new collection because I already have way too many liquid and cream blushes, the lipsticks look too similar to each other and I was not able to choose and I have a few highlights I want to finish before I order a new one. Eventually I will try them I think.
many of the lisa eldridge's lipstick crack off at the base because they are so softly made. please be careful when applying it. my velvet fawn broke at the base and it fell on the floor. i have seen this happen to pleeeeenty of people with her lipsticks. please just always apply it very, very, very carefully
@@BlingyBea i didn't even roll up mine at all!.. like only the necessary portion of it. sad to hear yours broke too. i ended up not liking her brand anymore because of it. and for that price makeup should be bulletproof and not breaking off that easily
That happened to mine too! The ones I use the most 😣😢 and I also didn’t roll up up that far, also mines a year old tho so maybe that messed with the quality,but I love her lipsticks.
I get anxious everytime I see people waving it around while they're talking. Even Lisa does it, and she does it with the bullet fully out. It gives me the sweats, haha

As more of a silver than gold person would love if more brands went with a beautiful silver finish with their packaging. Something about makeup always being in gold makes it feel more old timey to me. That blush though has me curious...
Oh yes. If someone did a collection in (preferably matte) silver and frosted glass, I'd probably throw my credit card at the them and ask questions later, just for the packaging.
Lisa loves vintage makeup, and has quite the collection of vintage makeup. So her packaging makes sense for her style. I don't think she chose it cause it was trendy.
I got the Solar light highlighter, Island Glow and Mountain Walk blushes, and some new lipsticks and glosses. I’m also in Melbourne and find it’s quite hard to get product out of the blush tube, no matter how much I squeeze. Not sure whether it has anything to do with the weather.
Oh that's a really hard question to answer! I don't think I have one that I like the most. I like Hourglass for a more traditional creamy lipstick, I like Shu Uemura for their matte lipsticks (but only the bright shades), YSL have some nice matte liquid lipsticks. All brands have strengths and weaknesses within their ranges and often from shade to shade, so it's hard to recommend one brand.
I wanted to wait to see how the highlight and blush shades looked on other ppl before I bought any but I was able to snag more lip glosses aand 😍🤩😍👄❤ I went from barely wearing lip balm to putting this gloss on just to hang around the house. Kat, I hope you give the glosses a try, but I def think you should stick to the neutral shades, the dark shades like ribbon and myth need babysitting. BUT the shades like go lightly, muse, blush,affair those are exquisite. Also loved your review! I def wany pink soap, and thanks for the tip about crystal nebula probably looking yellow on pinkee skin. I'll look into cosmic rose

I can imagine that happening, when I first squeezed some out of the hand swatch it took a lot of force to get it flowing out. Once it started to come out it seemed ok.

Hi! I am happy to say that I don't think the foundation has much to do with how well it applied, and I honestly think it's just a great formula blush. I have tried it with a cowpoke of foundations now and it applies great each time :)
Despite a zillion different attempts of twisting the blush component open I can’t get the product to come out and in all my tries the pressure caused the seam at the bottom to come apart and push the product out from the split seam. Quite frustrating because I’m going to have to go through the messy job of de-tubing it into a pot container in order to keep the product from being exposed to air 24/7. I don’t know what I was doing wrong in trying to twist the component open or if it was just defective. I’m curious, has anyone else had this problem? As far as her lipsticks go, her velvet formula is one of my favorites on the market and her shades and undertones are so good that with her lipsticks I’m able to wear shades that normally don’t look good on me. However again, I’m not a fan of the component. Typically I like magnetized caps on lipstick tubes but hers make it impossible to store the lipsticks neatly side-by-side.
I don’t wax or tweeze or thread them at all, and that’s not a brag… I annoyingly have really sparse brows that are mostly all drawn on. I recently got them tattooed to save me having to draw them in every day. I still need to fill them in with a powder or a pencil when I’m wearing makeup, but I don’t need to ever wax them.
The writing on the highlighter is really annoying to me. It looks old and rubbish after 2 weeks I've had it and I don't even travel or use a makeup bag 🙄 love the blush and lipstick on you 😍😍
I am an absolute disaster so I own most of her lipsticks and a few of her lipglosses, and I shamelessly admit she is one of the brands I automatically buy from if the colours interest me, no review required. If you want to get more of her products I find that it is easier to buy them after they re-release, for example, I wasn’t able to get her first ever release of the red lipsticks but if you check now both the “True Velvet Collection” and the three reds individually are still available, at least in the website for my area of the world, same with the previous release of lipglosses; this way of course you risk never being able to buy them if they never come back, like Rainbow Spill or Skyscraper Rose but, like you, I am not hurting for lipstick either.

You know the blush reminds me of the flower beauty blush bombs. The formula looks similar, more gel than liquid.
I love Lisa’s velvet lipsticks but they aren’t my favorites because they are breaking at the bottom of the tube super easily. Indeed, I have 9 of them and 7 broke. Having said that, once I commented this on their Instagram page and their customer service DM’ed me and they sent me all the 7 lipsticks that were broken. Even the ones that I bought 2 years back. It blew my mind. I didn’t order anything from the new collection because I already have way too many liquid and cream blushes, the lipsticks look too similar to each other and I was not able to choose and I have a few highlights I want to finish before I order a new one. Eventually I will try them I think.

many of the lisa eldridge's lipstick crack off at the base because they are so softly made. please be careful when applying it. my velvet fawn broke at the base and it fell on the floor. i have seen this happen to pleeeeenty of people with her lipsticks. please just always apply it very, very, very carefully

@@BlingyBea i didn't even roll up mine at all!.. like only the necessary portion of it. sad to hear yours broke too. i ended up not liking her brand anymore because of it. and for that price makeup should be bulletproof and not breaking off that easily
That happened to mine too! The ones I use the most 😣😢 and I also didn’t roll up up that far, also mines a year old tho so maybe that messed with the quality,but I love her lipsticks.
I get anxious everytime I see people waving it around while they're talking. Even Lisa does it, and she does it with the bullet fully out. It gives me the sweats, haha
I am glad you liked everything! I have a few lipsticks and her gloss but I missed out on the blushes. Hopefully I’ll grab a couple on the restock!

As more of a silver than gold person would love if more brands went with a beautiful silver finish with their packaging. Something about makeup always being in gold makes it feel more old timey to me. That blush though has me curious...
Oh yes. If someone did a collection in (preferably matte) silver and frosted glass, I'd probably throw my credit card at the them and ask questions later, just for the packaging.

Lisa loves vintage makeup, and has quite the collection of vintage makeup. So her packaging makes sense for her style. I don't think she chose it cause it was trendy.

I got the Solar light highlighter, Island Glow and Mountain Walk blushes, and some new lipsticks and glosses. I’m also in Melbourne and find it’s quite hard to get product out of the blush tube, no matter how much I squeeze. Not sure whether it has anything to do with the weather.

Oh that's a really hard question to answer! I don't think I have one that I like the most. I like Hourglass for a more traditional creamy lipstick, I like Shu Uemura for their matte lipsticks (but only the bright shades), YSL have some nice matte liquid lipsticks. All brands have strengths and weaknesses within their ranges and often from shade to shade, so it's hard to recommend one brand.

Great deal! I would recommend sticking to the reds or bright shades and the lighter shades and nudes can look quite patchy in the matte formula ❤️
I wanted to wait to see how the highlight and blush shades looked on other ppl before I bought any but I was able to snag more lip glosses aand 😍🤩😍👄❤ I went from barely wearing lip balm to putting this gloss on just to hang around the house. Kat, I hope you give the glosses a try, but I def think you should stick to the neutral shades, the dark shades like ribbon and myth need babysitting. BUT the shades like go lightly, muse, blush,affair those are exquisite.

I've seen a video where the blush exploded, literally! The lady was filming a demo and it shot across the room from the other end of tube. If I find video again I'll come back and link it.

I can imagine that happening, when I first squeezed some out of the hand swatch it took a lot of force to get it flowing out. Once it started to come out it seemed ok.

I'm curious what foundation you're using as the blush played nicely using fingers for application.
Hi! I am happy to say that I don't think the foundation has much to do with how well it applied, and I honestly think it's just a great formula blush. I have tried it with a cowpoke of foundations now and it applies great each time :)
Despite a zillion different attempts of twisting the blush component open I can’t get the product to come out and in all my tries the pressure caused the seam at the bottom to come apart and push the product out from the split seam. Quite frustrating because I’m going to have to go through the messy job of de-tubing it into a pot container in order to keep the product from being exposed to air 24/7. I don’t know what I was doing wrong in trying to twist the component open or if it was just defective. I’m curious, has anyone else had this problem? As far as her lipsticks go, her velvet formula is one of my favorites on the market and her shades and undertones are so good that with her lipsticks I’m able to wear shades that normally don’t look good on me. However again, I’m not a fan of the component. Typically I like magnetized caps on lipstick tubes but hers make it impossible to store the lipsticks neatly side-by-side.

Hi Kat! May I ask how you do your brows? Do you just maintain with tweezers or do you get waxed/threaded?
I don’t wax or tweeze or thread them at all, and that’s not a brag… I annoyingly have really sparse brows that are mostly all drawn on. I recently got them tattooed to save me having to draw them in every day. I still need to fill them in with a powder or a pencil when I’m wearing makeup, but I don’t need to ever wax them.

If my makeup obsession ever veers away from eye shadow I might buy some of her lippies but I'm more of a sheer lippie person.
She also has a sheer formula that has a satin finish and lip glosses... I just went for the bold matte because thats what I prefer :)
I am an absolute disaster so I own most of her lipsticks and a few of her lipglosses, and I shamelessly admit she is one of the brands I automatically buy from if the colours interest me, no review required. If you want to get more of her products I find that it is easier to buy them after they re-release, for example, I wasn’t able to get her first ever release of the red lipsticks but if you check now both the “True Velvet Collection” and the three reds individually are still available, at least in the website for my area of the world, same with the previous release of lipglosses; this way of course you risk never being able to buy them if they never come back, like Rainbow Spill or Skyscraper Rose but, like you, I am not hurting for lipstick either.
