Great show of the danish wild life and nature. Calling the european adder highly venomous is probably a bit of a stretch. In the last 100 years only 7 people died from a bite out of 400 being bitten every year and 70 of them needing hospital care. At least compared to other venomous snake species.
The venom of the European adder is actually very potent, more so than rattlesnakes, only it has very little poison and often dont even use it when it bites.
