I avoided watching Tiger King for years only to finally come around to the blatant truth that Joe is an American legend, and this song deserved a Grammy. I’m just sorry that I lost a few years without this in my life.

So the priest represents sort of like a guardian angel (because having Joe dressed as an angel with wings would've exceeded the videos budget so the next best image representation of that would be a priest) to represent Gods taking into account the evil act of murder & the reckoning/judgement that will befall the wicked. She thinks she'll get away with it but God will know all the evil deeds of the wicked & Joe is like an invisible guardian angel taking the evil actions into account unbeknownst to Carol. Pretty deep stuff & clever.
