Nice lesson .. I am venturing into clothes ... Been a tapest .. festies chick ... Now I am wanting to sell out of my home ... So I am going to try this and see how well I do
You are so welcome, Michele! Thank you so much and so glad you enjoy! I've been wearing some of the Walmart stuff for about a year and they are still so soft! Peace, love and Tie dye!
@@dyeversedesigns5692 I am subscribed to your channel so I won’t miss a thing 😊 like I said….. your work is stunning ☮️💚and tie-dye to you too my friend ❣️❣️
Thanks for one of the best compliments I've ever gotten on a shirt! So glad to help! You can see a lot more by checking out Dyeverse Designs channel on TH-cam.
Hello again, I am somewhat copying your v pattern. I'm doing reverse tie dye on long sleeves w v pattern but not with the diamond. My plan is to do scrunch on the black middle area and then paint a graphic in that area. So I made one last night and I peeked in the scrunch to see how it turned out and noticed the bleach didnt really Penetrate well. Do you recommend that once my colors are set to go back and rescrunch it and bleach it? Or something else? I have never done this before, newbie. I'm experimenting but cannot afford to just make mistakes. Christmas gifts.🙏🏽Namaste
I have tried rebleaching with mixed results. Once it ate through the shirt, once it worked. I sadly must admit reverse tie dye is not really my forte. I've only done about 6 attempts at it. If you don't think it worked well because the bleached area is like an orange color, that is normal and you should just try dying it like that. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. Peace.
Thanks so much, Uniquelyyours1! Guess I just don't understand TH-cam's algorithm. I don't do this for the subscribers, none of what I do is for my vanity, just fulfilling my life/soul mission of living for the better good of all. Light, love and positive vibes.
Okay I'm lost. I tied the diamond but it's so hard to know if I'm tying the same side as u when u watch it cuz it's never the same direction. LoL So I'm not sure what I'm doing and I wish I could send u a pic.
Hi Kari Ann, apologies for the delay in response. Computer issues. I would be happy to help. Best way to reach me is probably by e-mail at the moment. dyeversedesigns@yahoo.com. So sorry I got you confused with the direction. If you send a pic of how you are laying the shirt out to do the diamond, I might be able to quickly work the issue out for you.
Hi Hew, liquid dye will work with any of the techniques I show, the colors just aren't anywhere near as vibrant as with the ice dye. Liquid dye, the colors are more pastel like. Hope that helps.
Awesome tutorial! Ok-to clarify. After the ice is all melted and has gone through to the other side-do you batch it at all? Does it need to sit for a spell? I just got some of the long sleeved t's and can't wait to try this out! Thank you!
Great question! I usually let them sit around 12-16 hours after the ice melts, then rinse until most of the dye is out, first cold, then warm then hot. Once there is barely any dye coming out, wash in hot water with a textile detergent called Synthropol for the best results that keeps the dye from bleeding, basically stops the dye from reacting. You can get it at either Amazon or at DharmaTrading.com. Then dry on permanent press and iron (ironing seems to make the colors pop even more). Enjoy! Send me a pic of it when you do at dyeversedesigns@yahoo.com! Thanks again!
Excellent question my friend! This is actually a 6 oz. This particular pattern will give you great results with any weight greater than 4.8 oz. Below that, the colors really start to get flat and faded looking. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with and thanks so much!
Hi Bonnie, thanks so much! It will indeed work on sweatshirts. I've done about 8 sweatshirts in exactly this technique/pattern. You just have to go with a really dark blue like azure blue or kingfisher blue or the blues come out closer to sky blue, gives a really different look.
Okay so I was following the turtle neck video from here out. That would be why it didn't go right! Idk if u did it the same or diff but mines gonna be completely wacked! LoL.
Hey Kari Ann, never worry that it has to come out like what you intended. Most of the best stuff I've done was supposed to be something completely different lol! Making mistakes is how we learn and grow. I hope to keep making many mistakes, just means I'm still growing. Peace, love and Tie Dye!
Omg! I was watching both of the videos u did by accident! The turtleneck and the long sleeve! Oops. U used sinew and wonder why there aren't any white Crisp lines showing?
I know the feeling well, Doris. A lot of my first attempts at a certain style of design go exactly that same way, not bad but not what we were looking for. Would love to see a pic of what you did to see if maybe I can help figure out where I may be able to help you. dyeversedesigns@yahoo.com. Blessed New Years and let me know if I can be of any help, Doris!
Hi Chris, thanks so much and sorry for delay in responding. Major PC issues. I don't have any men's left and the blue dyes I use are very back ordered. If I get some more I will definitely let you know! Thanks again!
Thank you for going slowly and explaining everything!❤
Anyone can make a video, but not everyone can make a GOOD 👍🏽 video. Thanks for taking the time to make this one.
Not only is your art superfabulous kool, I love the fact that you are purpose driven for the better good of all. It shows.

Are you using sinew on those three big lines in the middle of the shirt? I see you pulling something that looks like sinew tight…
Excellent tutorial. Loved every minute of it!

Would using liquid dyes still work?

How many ounces is your shirt on the v pattern? Excellent tutorial!

Awesome thanks, I actually have a 10 oz hoodie I want to try something like this with. Do you think it will be to thick.
Hi! Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing! Do you think this would work on a sweatshirt?
