I like the one on my left...most recent, but the details on the back are exceptional for both shirts and unique. If you didn't plan this then you did something great. Wow!
I'm so glad I found your channel. I love your tutorials. You are so creative and I love how you explain the process to us. Thank you so much for sharing.
The “Cosmic Egg” design reminds me of a Doppler effect… vey cool. 👍🏻 At the reveal, the back of the shirt on the right has a figure in a yoga pose. That’s pretty darn clever.
@@corkylorenz I was finally able to try a few of this fold! One I loved, the other two were just ok. I think I agree you with your take on angled lines being more interesting. Will definitely try more!!!
Thanks for sharing. My initial thoughts on this whole cosmic egg pattern was that I didn't like it and wasn't going to bother trying it. But, now I'm seeing adaptations of the technique that are inspiring. I really like where you're goung with the patter over the whole surface rather than just the egg shape in the middle.
Yay, I found the shirt video! I love it! What colors did you use? On both shirts. I think I like the original best, but both are outstanding. I love the chatter, it's nice to hear your thought process. I've just started noticing rolling T-shirts, I've got to try that too! Thanks Corky!!! 🥰🥰🥰 You hitting the big time, Greg from Goyo's watching! He's THE best. Nice guy who loves to share.
oh geesh i had such a mess on a geode that i wrapped more than three times before i tightened it..... they were just all overlapped and knotted...... i ended up actualy shredding the shirt..... it was wet and it was a reverse. and when i pulled the sinew out man.... just ripped the fabric. thanks for sharing this method
How fun!! You might have cracked it😉👍 I will absolutely try it today. So you did DUI, just sprincle "everywhere" or in sections? and then in a bag in hot water, so no soak in hot bath by itself, right. No more soda ash? I wonder if I might actually stick it in my micro oven (in a bag or bowl of water!). It looks so nice and really really interesting patterns! So this was done the same day? So exiting! Thank you for showing🤗
For your questions: I just sprinkle soda ash on with the powdered dye. After the ice melted, I put it into a bin of hot water for about an hour to speed up batch time. The only downside to speeding things up, is it can transfer black to the lighter areas, in a plastic bag. If you just drop it into the hot water without the bag, it contaminates the light areas much less, but dye bleeds off overall.
@@corkylorenz We have used the same micro wave oven for food/drink for years..as I always keep my tie dyesin a bowl under water with stones..it does not smell or contaminate anything..3rd generation still eat/drink food we heat up now and again in same one🤣
You are incorrect. Milky Wave Tie Dye has been doing this as far back as 2015, but rolling a shirt has probably been done since the 60s! I love Corkey's unique variation.
@margosdyes I'd like to see an example. Doesn't want this shared openly like this and that should be respected. Otherwise they would have done so on their own.
@lovelifecre8ions304 that's one link. The person you are speaking of has their first post of this in 2021. Milky Way Tie Dye was doing this for 5 years before her. She does not own the technique. Please stop attacking folks.
Darn, I keep trying to share the link for Milky Way Tie Dye post on June 20, 2016, but TH-cam prevents sharing of the link. Please view their profile. Pretty much anything before 2021 is before she "invented" this.
Thank you not only for showing but talking through your thought process!
Yay! I’m glad to know that the chatting is worth doing. Thank you!
Thank you for this tutorial! I've been hoping someone would share their process for this technique for some time now.
I hope you have fun with it!

Heyy thank you for stopping by and leaving a lovely comment. 🥰
Great tutorial, very helpful. Would love to see how the color placement is done.
What a fun new look. Thanks for exploring and sharing. The backs are really mind blowing!

I thought the same exact thing. She sort of looks like a goddess. ✌️💜♀️
I LOVE both of them!
Aghhhhhhh I love this!!! I have been searching for a new organic looking fold to play with. This is right up my alley!!! You = the best 🎉
Hey!! Have you gotten a chance to try it out? I’m curious how it went for you. :)
@@corkylorenz unfortunately not yet 😭 I will be sure to keep you posted!

Hey, I appreciate that! Thank you for watching and giving your feedback!
Both shirts came out beautifully! Thank you so much for your inspiration!!
Thank you so much!! Have you had a chance to play with it??
@@corkylorenz Hi - thanks for your response! I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but I'm excited to!!!
Absolutely groovy.
Girl it's gorgeous! I will totally have to try this myself.
Yay! Thank you so much! I hope you have fun with it 🤗
Gorgeous !!!!!!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you for sharing! I love the pattern and colors!
Thank you!! I hope it helps 😊
I love both. I am so excited to try this technique.
it's a lot of fun to experiment with what to do after it's rolled up. So many options.
Those are SO beautiful. Gonna have to try this!
I hope you have fun with it!!
great video sister! can’t wait to put my own little twists and turns on it and add to what u showed us. 😘🙏🏻
There’s so much room for variation! I’m excited to see!
Very cool! I love the various techniques you’re bringing into one with this dye. Thank you for sharing!
thank you so much!! I do think the ice dye aspect is something that the guys who do this style aren't doing, so it helps it to look different.

Awesome tutorial, and I love both shirts! I will definitely be trying this fold, now that I have seen how you do them! Thanks so much for sharing... ❤
yay! thanks for watching and I hope you have fun with it!
@@corkylorenz I hope to do my first today... fingers crossed!
Thank you! I have seen your posts in some FB groups and ready to give this one a try.
I hope you have fun with it! I’ve since learned that you don’t need to do all the fancy tying. You can just roll it and rubber band it in place. ☺️
Wonderful outcome !
thank you for watching!
Awesome videos! What colors were you using? Thanks
Thanks for sharing. These turned out really cool.😁✌️
Hey! Thanks for watching! 😁
Thank you so much, Corkey! I love your variation on this one!
thank you so much! it's a fun thing to play with!
Thank you for sharing this!! ❤️
thanks for watching!
Thank you trying this right away!!!
Is this DUI or DOI? Do you sprinkle the dye randomly or in stripes or sections?
What colors did you use?

that would be nice to have a dedicated microwave for speed batching dyes!!

What was that you used as an ice barrier?
It’s called “magic tracks” 😄
@@corkylorenz thank you so much for your response! I will look for it 🙂
@@corkylorenz also, how tall are they? Thanks again
Did I somehow miss what colors you used??
Black (jacquard), wasabi, citrus yellow and peach (dharma)
Great experiment
Thanks for watching!
I see sunglasses on the back of the one you just did (at the bottom). The one on the right has a cat face on the back (at the top).
Right?? The mirrored images are fun to find shapes in
Haha, I saw a dog with a mustache. And the nose kind of looks like a little frog! 🤣
