Just a tip, I've sold many of those vintage hats with the disintegrated foam. It's super easy to clean out with a shop vac. Maybe 5-10 min per hat max. I've sold 2 or 3 Vintage John Deere hats for $100+ after cleaning them out :) So if they are selling high I would take the couple minutes to clean one. Just be careful before vacuuming because that foam will get everywhere!
Even with bad foam they can sell. The three strip Kodiak Racing hat I sold for $230 the foam was falling apart. I just brushed it out and vacuumed it up. I mention it in the listing and took close up pictures of the inside to show it.
For sure. If it was a John Deere or some like that I would’ve picked it up either way. One of my first videos ever made was how to clean hats, clean 50 hats in the video showing all the different techniques.
MATT, THE KENWORTH HAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Research your hats, K-product or k-brand, foam falling out is ok, of matter of fact it's better than ok. It's all in the patch. Nate the cup guy.
Great finds. Made me google St. Vincent de Paul and there is one 4 miles from me, two blocks from my daughter's house. Weird hours but had one if the best picks in months there. Thanks for the info.
Notice they didn't have a sanitizer station. I go to several thrift stores and in the beginning of reopening they had sanitizer dispensers. Now I go in and there are no sanitizer dispensers. There's no one at the door counting people to see how many go in. Shame that we have become so lax.
How did you get the $9.99 marker off the popcorn mouse box and the shoes? Jack did a great job as cameraman today! I love the way you do your wrap-ups, showing what you listed things for.
Wow I used to have 4 pairs of Doc Martens back in the 90s. Can't believe they'd sell for that although I remember paying $125 for my first pair new at Journeys in about 1994/95. Fun times.
Awesome Matt! i love you and your videos! You inspire me to keep it going. I'm also a part-time reseller in Georgia. My store is Georgia Style Beauties on ebay!
I bought some brand new Dr. Martens boots back in 2001, and had only worn them a handful of times.. but during my move from San Diego back to L.A., I kinda discarded them.. Regrets...
I've actually found exact brand/items in retail store for cheaper than found at St. Vincent de Paul. more often than not they are a rip off and it's too bad.
Hi Matt, thanks for another very informative video! Question for you, when you list something on Ebay, how long do you wait before you change the price to try and sell it quicker?
Hi, Matt. I just love the thrift stores in your area. So much good, sellable goods. I have a question. I keep getting emails and messages from ebay about the change in how we get paid. Ebay is asking for my bank account so my earnings get deposited there instead of with PayPal. Is this a scam message?
can you get the prices off the bottoms of the sneakers and boots? I've heard others that have a hard time getting marker off of shoes. your son did great with the camera!
I love it when you start "that" music at the end and how you show what each item was listed for. Thanks again Matt!
Great finds, and Jack done a excellent job helping you out
Just had to say, Jack is a cool kid. And he did a great job with the camera.
Haha thanks!

Jack is a great helper! Nice finds Matt!
Jack is a good helper. Love it when they get to the age where they are a big help. Good scores Matt!
Thanks for sharing. This brings back memories for me - I grew up in Livermore and went to that same thrift store as a kid. 😊 Great finds!
Awesome pickups.....................AGAIN! :) Tell Jack he did an awesome job with the camera.
I love St. Vincent de Paul stores. Lots of good things to buy and resell.
I absolutely love the format you do these in! Amazing finds, shows that you can pay up and still make good money if you find the right items.
I always take things to the knife section to open them

MATT, THE KENWORTH HAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Research your hats, K-product or k-brand, foam falling out is ok, of matter of fact it's better than ok. It's all in the patch.
Nate the cup guy.
Maybe not the Kenworth hat is a good find, but dont let the foam scare you away
Yeah actually looked that one up and didn’t seem like it was a good deal. Thanks for watching 🤙
Great finds. Made me google St. Vincent de Paul and there is one 4 miles from me, two blocks from my daughter's house. Weird hours but had one if the best picks in months there. Thanks for the info.
Wow! I need to do that too! ( : I looked up Ecothrift, no where near! ) :
That’s was a good one, thank you Matt for the video and your expertise!!
The new Doc Marten's have two lines the ones the are outsourced to China and the line still made in England.
Very cool! Love that popcorn thing
Your laugh when jack put the camera in the air 😂

Thanks for watching!
That SLICK rainbow mural 15 seconds into this video was done by my homie Ricky Watts! Love seeing his stuff out there 👍👍
Nice. He does some great work
I had 2 saint Vincent de Paul stores nearby that closed before the pandemic started. They were just pricey on most items.
Nice finds! Well done Jack!
Love your videos! Great info :)
Awesome video and even better learning experience for the boy. Should see what he has learned so far and follow him around a store sometime.
Jack did a great job filming. 🤗

What camera do you use for your vids???
LOL I'm having a heart attack on the Doc Martens. I have some I need to post. Like NOW. :) Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Haha nice!
My Browns just lost a heartbreaker tonight, so watching you plug in that item for a few minutes really let me forget for a while...thank you :*) lol
We have a few St Vinny's around here, but normally not worth the trip due to how pricey they are and quality of donations. Good finds though!
Appreciate you watching!
Great video man! hey what app do you use to look up the items to see how much it sells for?
Notice they didn't have a sanitizer station. I go to several thrift stores and in the beginning of reopening they had sanitizer dispensers. Now I go in and there are no sanitizer dispensers. There's no one at the door counting people to see how many go in. Shame that we have become so lax.
They had one
Some hats even with bad foam can be expensive. If an older style brand
How did you get the $9.99 marker off the popcorn mouse box and the shoes? Jack did a great job as cameraman today! I love the way you do your wrap-ups, showing what you listed things for.
I used a dry erase marker. Thanks for watching!
I think it depends where the Doc's are made. England vs. China, Taiwan, Vietnam, etc
So are you actually allowed to cut open boxes so you can look inside and just help yourself to plugs in the shop?!?!
Wow I used to have 4 pairs of Doc Martens back in the 90s. Can't believe they'd sell for that although I remember paying $125 for my first pair new at Journeys in about 1994/95. Fun times.
Ha ha yeah those are expensive now. My wife just bought a pair recently.... 😞
Absolutely luv your videos. 💞
Thanks for watching!
You have a well behaved boy .
He’s a great little boy. Thanks for watching!
Regrets...
Nice jack stand
What app do you use to scan merchandise and compare prices and what avg prices are? Thanks
I've actually found exact brand/items in retail store for cheaper than found at St. Vincent de Paul. more often than not they are a rip off and it's too bad.
Pretty impressed with your young cameraman. Can’t wait till my boys are old enough to do this
Ha ha yeah he did a great job. Thanks for watching!
Hi loved you videos. can you share the name of the app you used to scan the barcode and know the prices? Thanks
Guitar hero legends of rock in box. You passed it up
Nice haul guys👍🤙
Thanks brother 🤙
Foam not always a big deal if vintage
Definitely. Thanks for watching!
Great video Matt 😊 the sale price on those Doc martins 😮
Thanks for watching!
Nice items today, keep on picking.
Thanks for watching!
Hey, Matt. You are my favourite picker!! Always love your hats and the Marmot jackets you wear. Have you ever been to Toronto, Canada? :)
Thank you 🤙 Never been to Canada. But would like to one day
Those air max below those brooks, depending on the price, would have been a good buy. Would've went for more than the brooks.
Thanks for the heads up
Hi Matt, thanks for another very informative video! Question for you, when you list something on Ebay, how long do you wait before you change the price to try and sell it quicker?
I usually list an item and then I don’t really touch the listing. But I will send offers to watchers.
I still sell the ones without the foam if they are worth it
Nice find on the popcorn thing
Thanks for watching!
Great video as always.
Great picking. So good.
Thanks for watching!
Nice vid you should try going to thrift center on Mission Blvd in Hayward man👍
I never have luck there, but only go a couple times a year. How do you do there?
@@PartTimePickers it’s pretty good there always find lots good deals there
Hi, Matt. I just love the thrift stores in your area. So much good, sellable goods. I have a question. I keep getting emails and messages from ebay about the change in how we get paid. Ebay is asking for my bank account so my earnings get deposited there instead of with PayPal. Is this a scam message?
Maybe. Probably. Go to ebay directly, not through your email, and read ebay's messages to you.
Hello Matt and Family
You should get a little keychain knife
That’s awesome lol me and my family play Pokémon go also nice finds
May I ask what app you use when u scan the barcode
The eBay app. There is a photo icon near the search bar. Click that and you should see the option for a bar code scanner
Hi matt i was wondering your input on the new ebay end to end paying system where they eliminate paypal
I like it better. I didn’t like paying all the fees afterwards with PayPal
Your son is growing so fast!
can you get the prices off the bottoms of the sneakers and boots? I've heard others that have a hard time getting marker off of shoes. your son did great with the camera!
If it’s marker, it should come off with acetone/nail polish remover.
Try goo gone
Right on brother 🤙🏼
Oh there you go again in the middle of a Pokémon match. 🤣
How do you get the black marker off the soles?
Usually with goo gone.
@@PartTimePickers
I never thought of that...lol. I use it for everything else, why not?
Good stuff!
I’m always hesitant to pick up shoes due to the sharpie on them. How do you get it off?
I use nail polish remover.
Whats that app, that you use on barcodes
Is it more expensive there because it's Livermore?
I was just in the bay area, went to thrifts and goodwill bins and was not impressed. High prices. I didnt go to the south east bay area.
I'm in the Concord area and I've never found anything great around here.
Great picks! But man... Those prices are atrocious.
Try to find a plug or an outlet? 🧐
I thrift alot at St Vincents.
Thanks for watching!
Hey Mr picker have a good day....
How do you get the permanent marker off of the box 9.99? Or do you leave it when listing?
I used a dry erase marker
What camera and equipment do you use to film when you are picking?
A GoPro hero 8 black
