I have a Harley fat boy I bought last year. From the dealership I had the 131 stage IV installed, Vance and Hines big radius, and a few other pieces. The bike scoots pretty good. I like the chrome, the position I sit on it, handles great to me. I really have no complaints other than the seat for passenger. I plan on keeping the bike for many many years.
@@haseebali803 well my local HD dealer is trash but other than that me n her have been riding it out last summer putting almost 3k miles on her too. She has cut off one time since purchased but I'm loving it. The cvo and the road glide has been in my radar
I first rode one about 26 years ago ,on a group HD free test ride out .Got my 1st Harley in 89 then 2 more .Finally got my dream Fat Boy. Its not new but looks it .Not ridden it yet as weather not good .So its sitting there covered in chrome waiting for April.lol
My 2016 fatboy is more comftorable than the 2021 fatboy when i bought it it had a windshield i took it off rode it on the frwy came back home put the windshield back on. 110 motor with a racing cam and freedom exhast halls ass. Stay safe out there
Just bought a 2021 Fat Boy. My first Harley Davidson. What a nice looking piece of shit. I'm selling it and taking a loss because I'll be happier that way. The Harley dealer (and every other Harley dealer) has no clue how these motorcycles work. They THINK they do, but they don't. My particular dealer sold me pipes & a tuner which immediately lost me 10% power and torque across the board. Dyno seemed to surprise them. Idiots. I have a shake in the front end which they can't explain. My front tire is defective. Fork bearing keeps loosening. Defective oil pressure sensor. Hand grips wore through and needed replacement. It's a wrestling match to make turns. Battery had to be replaced already. Can't get it in neutral (that took a while to work in, now ok). Due to the new engine design, it will never sound like a Harley. So, don't buy it if you're expecting that. Other than that, I love it. After going through all the motorcycles I've purchased and ridden over the years, I now have an Indian and a Harley in my garage. Soon I'll have only the Indian!
Jeez .What a story .I have had 4 Harleys since 89 .Never had any trouble and they were all 2nd hand. But I have never taken any of them to a Harley dealer. I get the impression they are all salesmen.
I love the Fat Boy. What a great bike and a great review by you, sir. I think I'm going to have to add this bike to my list to ride sometime soon. Well done.
You're welcome! Really, there isn't a Harley (post 2018 when they switched the Dyna's to Softails) that is too big for shorter riders, like us, to ride.
Bought my fat boy A couple days Ago from Orlando Harley South "Kissimmee FL.. great people, Richard walked me through everything. Am having the Vance and Hines Slash cuts put on.If your looking for A bike stop by this store, you'll be glad you did..🙂
Such a beautiful bike, but I agree with you on the chrome. Kinda mad they made the 30th anniversary blacked out, because that probably means we'll never see that color option again. Maybe I missed it in your video, but how do those big fat tires effect handling? I've heard mixed things.
Hopefully they bring back a Fat Boy S with similar blacked out options. 🤞🏽 The handling was fine. Didn't feel too dissimilar to the Sport Glide, but not quite as nimble.
Loved the look of the bike when I saw it in the release event except for the chrome (coming from a Fat Bob guy). Definitely on the lookout for that 30th Anniversary now though. Thanks for sharing!
I test rode this bike and the Triumph Rocket GT yesterday, and the Rocket wins hands down. It's got a shit load more hp and nm, more features and technology, and you don't see one every 15 mins when riding around. The Fatboy has the sound and image, and that's really it compared to the Rocket.
There's a reason for chrome. Besides that it gives contrast to the engine to show off all HDs hard work in making it beautiful (anyone who paints that black should be whipped with a wet noodle), it's easy to clean. A little detailer on a fuzzy rag, a couple swipes and it looks like new. Good luck trying to do that on some porous paint or plating.
From an guy to an other guy excellent revive lot of god tips I am new into the bike world but HD Fat boy has always be the dream bike for me, I have see a lot of revives on TH-cam but this is one of the best well-done ! is a lot of bikes out there but you buy the bike you what ,not the bike the others like, yes I am an beginner but we have all bean that in the beginning keep up those reviews.😎
Great video. I like your simple and to the point video. Some ppl ramble on. FB and RK are my second fav bikes. I have a 18 Deluxe and love it. I’m with you I like the brushed looked better on the FB
Well, it's a Harley, so vibration can be expected. But from 2018 on, the Milwaukee 8 counter-balanced engines are much smoother. There's still some vibration in the new Fat Boy, but not like the old Harleys.
Watched the video looking for the part where you took it on a roundabout. The Fatboy doesn't do roundabouts that well and the suspension struggles with my 160KG. Given that i still love the bike
My dream is to have a Harley, a Fatboy, but unfortunately I can't afford it, here in Brazil it costs $20,000 and it's impossible for me, unemployed, doing small jobs and supporting a family. I met a person here in Brazil who received it as a gift from an American businessman, he actually gave the value of the bike and he bought it, I found this attitude a dream, I watch videos about Fatboy every day and dream, today is the best I can go arriving by a Harley Davidson.
A lot of bikes I wish I could afford, too. ✌🏽 For now, I have to be happy test riding them and enjoying the heck out of the bikes I do have. Best of luck to you and hoping that dream of yours comes true someday! 🤓🤞🏽
It's a decent handling motorcycle, especially for it's size. If I was comparing to older Fat Boys, I'd say it handles a bit better, and with the lighter weight than pre-M8 models, that helps a bit.
Harley/cruiser riders are typically fine without, but the lack of optional safety features on a 2021 motorcycle that starts at $20K is something to be noted.
Guys. Many people who have purchased the 2020 model, have complained that this bike is a joke. This isn’t what a Harley used to be. Power isn’t everything, it’s the thrill that people buy Harleys for. That isn’t here anymore... The new engines makes u feel ur riding a Kawasaki. Yes it does. 103 was the best. From that point on, except for the looks, it has been a downride.
Glad you can enjoy them, despite not being a fan. I was only going to ride three bikes, but ended riding five that day, so a few more reviews are coming. I'll have other content posting the same week, though for my non-Harley peeps. 👍🏽🤓
YEP.... for 20 grand...HARLEY MUST (or else) pay attention to what they are offering in terms of technology. I do agree with this vid, and opinion. I do have a FatBoy 2019, and I do miss those tech stuff you are talking about.
I surely wants that brand later!!! Not another. Gas bike are better than electric bike!!! I don't understand how government could denied new gas brand motorcycle by 2030-2035. They would break some good liberty to new rider. This is totally unfair if they consider bike too. Surely hope they won't be able to restrict gas bike. I'm saying this only because i'm in love with classic bike Harley Davidson!!!
GREAT review. I really prefer the look of the 1990-2017 models. They went TOO fat and too modern looking with this model. The new (2018+) heritage still looks like a heritage, what the heck happened here? This is going to be a very low volume model for them and I see the design getting a revision in 5 years when they realize it isn't selling.
If you're looking at a fat boy as a first bike you need to screw your head on, that's a lot of money to send sliding down the road! most riders will drop their bikes in the first few years, get something lighter and less powerful and learn control, then get yourself a fat boy if you still want one in a few years time.
I definitely would recommend a smaller bike to start, but have been surprised by the amount of people who ask about this and other large bikes for first motorcycles. So, typically, I'll address that crowd in my vids. Thanks for watching 👍🏽

@Gene Clark I was trying to reply to your second comment and accidentally removed it. My bad. LOL "Aquaboy". On that note, I'm a fan of the actor Mamoa, but H-D bringing these actors (Mamoa and McGregor) in to entice riders seems like a misguided attempt to win over the younger generation. IMO, this is alienating the older crowd and the next gen sees right through it.

I just bought my 2021 Fat Boy 114 from Iron Steed a few weeks ago. Incredible bike. If you're on the fence... get the hell off of it and go get one.
I was looking at a new gold wing but I'm not sure my mileage can justify it. The fatboy is my close second choice. Now I don't know what to do
I don’t need to know my speed or rpms. I just ride and enjoy based on traffic and desire. It’s nice keeping that information out of my face.
