Yellow is a trained warrior, Deku is kid who is still learning. Comparing these two is like comparing a champion MHA fighter to a green belt in karate.
It's not surprising actually. There's a rule to animation:
The simpler the design, the more time and effort you can put into animation, the more complex the design, the line something takes to animate.
Also, a lot of these are asset driven figures, meaning you don't even have to draw every in between (either 6, 12 or 24 frames s second, depending on how choppy you want it to look.
Finally, the fact that these works use detail free sick men, you can often move their limbs in strange ways that would otherwise not look right on others

A lot of these stick man fights are basically anime fights without the internal monologue or context
And without meticulously discussing battleplans mid fight that for no given reason the other combatants never stop or punish. Also without stopping the fight every few moves to explain in unnecesessary detail exactly what just happened despite that very thing just having been animated at the cost of unknown thousands upon thousands of dollars.
So I guess in reality it's nothing like most anime fights and it's just straight up good.

Yo, Alan Becker started a huge movement when it came to stick figure animation. He’s one of if not the most popular stick figure animator out here. If there is any series Nux would want to watch when it comes to stick figures, it’s Alan Becker’s universe.
P.S., his newest video is single-handedly one of the greatest animations I’ve ever seen on this platform, and one of the greatest fights I’ve ever seen as well.
That and the old schools newground and stick fight creators. Some of those fights were masterful

@@flamelrd1320 Agreed. Also, despite their budget I still consider it to be low-end production. As Nux said the next segment, RWBY should have been more action oriented, but Monty was the driving impetus for that and apparently his genius is not matched by anyone else who wants to work at RT. Sad.

I personally recommend Gildedguy. The man puts some serious work into his animations, to the point I have a hard time of calling them just stick animations.

Do keep in mind that animating stickmen is considerably easier than animating a fully designed character
Mostly bcuz of the lack of detail, depth and need of anatomy, using stickmen allows the animator to only focus on the movement, effects and choreography which is why these look super smooth
This would probably make u appreciate how much hard work is put into an average animated show even if it’s animation is “bad” and you’d appreciate it even more if the animation was top tier (a great example of both is one punch man both seasons)

Fun fact, on that last video each character fighting has lore, backstories and etc. I forget if its still going, but it's something in the community called "RHG" characters. Two animators challenge each other and whom ever wins via votes that animation becomes canon for one or both characters. (I'd recommend looking up the story of umbrella and especially the climax of FLLFFL (alfa) vs Umbrella.)
I miss being active in that community.

The weapon master animation thing was using weapons from different games, series and the latter. There was a bisento in it, the plasma guns where he teleported were tracer's weapons from overwatch, i think that one sao sword kirito uses and of course the rwby scythe

@Nuxanor So the Animator named Hyun was the original creator of the Yoyo guy. He was also one of the original stick figure animators that got really big on TH-cam. He then pseudo retired from stick figure animations, but he created Hyun's Dojo with his fellow stick figure animator friends. This is where there are Versus Matches where each animator creates an animation of their creation winning. Then the members of the Dojo vote on the better animation and that becomes the featured winner in these videos like this one. This is actually a collaboration of like 50 animators. Twice the number of actual battles. Yoyo gets to win a lot since it is the creation of the name sake for the channel. FYI. He also created all the League of Legends themed Stick figure fights and was showcased at one of Riot's World Events.

7:11 The yoyo is actually a Hyun reference. A popular stickman animator. I think he made or organizes the animations called Dojo Duels and they are put in Hyun's Dojo Community. They are very cool and its just a community of fighting.
One of his characters uses a yoyo to fight and it can like explode to make a blast like it did there.

well, there is two reasons, one being that it's actually easier to animate 5 sticks and doesn't need much details unless when they decide to, and second, time, most animes are rushed a little since they have deadlines to meet, while independent artists doesn't
