@DravenCarey21 compensate for that hit loss through the reforging of other less desireable stats (haste/mastery) therefore, agi>hit cap because that hit cap can then (normally) be attained through some re-reforging. that is my logic :)
Hey, not sure if you monitor this account or these videos anymore and I realize that this comment is 10 yrs later but I've always liked BM hunter and will definitely make me one. They may not be as good as marksmanship or survival hunters but I enjoy playing as BM :)
@wowluke1 yea, the way i see it, there are only 3 instances where you would even have the chance to prioritize agi over hit, and those would be: 1.) Gemming (but u should pretty much never gem hit) 2.) Enchants (but agian, u should never need to enchant for hit) 3.) ilvl upgrades that drop a significant amount of hit in favor of ~40+ agi that said, gemming/enchanting are pretty much spoken for (dont gem/enchant for hit) and for the ilvl upgrade, i doubt you'll lose so much hit u cant
@RipoloNL sure it could be, but again what pets to bring to a raid is completely subjective to what ur group needs. consult with them first to see what buffs ur missing
@aDveebay no particular reason, just preference. i wanted some other talents. pet talents are completely up to the person playing, i went for more dps and less survivability
@PowShredder801 sure thing :) oooh, when leveling i'd advise picking up a tank pet (like a turtle) and spec him for tanking, then get glyph of MD, and you're set to go
@DravenCarey21 I spose thats justification enough if it works. I tend to never gem hit (even if significantly below the cap) and just reforge it until I have enough base hit from gear. Then reforge mastery/crit and some haste if i'm lacking haste. I make the 8% my priority over agility so I don't have to worry about ever being under the cap later, and I can just focus on reforging pure dps-gain stats. I imagine both methods work equally as well. Great video though, keep it up.
Gettin' a little bored on my pally, and was thinking about rolling a hunter. I PvP alot, and was wondering what the ideal spec is for PvP, in your opinion? Thanks in advance!
@PowShredder801 Just to add to Draven's comment, BM scales much better than MM for when you're lacking gear, but it's also great when you have 10k+ pvp gs.
@DTWmw2 why's that? if your group/raid/guild or w/e already has the str/agi buff that ur spirit beast brings to the table (any dk or warrior) then its a higher raid dps increase for you to bring a pet that provides a buff that the group doesnt have. as for solo, then i could see a spirit beast pulling ahead but i'd have to go back and check their individual stats before i said so for sure
@5minvsarefer i actually have every spirit beast except Karoma in my stables (i use them for PvP) but i didnt have one in this video because they're a bit harder to obtain and you can get the exact same benefits of a spirit beast (in terms of the str/agi buff) from any other cat, and since they're more accessible i just chose them :)
@DravenCarey21 and as for why i didnt take bloodthirsty its not often that i need that extra 10% of his health over 5 sec as a heal (for the cat in the video thats a 8.7k heal over 5 seconds [1.7k hps]). not only is it rare that i need it, its even less likely to happen given that its a 20% chance. if it was a 50%+ chance i'd take it. but giving up 2 talent points for a CHANCE (and only 20%) at a 8.7k heal, thats just not worth it. seeing as mend pet heals my pet for 4.2k per tick
@PowShredder801 Personally, I'm a HUGE fan of BM PvP, however , played correctly i've seen MM do really well too. For starters i'd suggest BM, since its pretty easy to learn and alot of fun :)
@wowluke1 everybody ALWAYS points this out in my videos so i guess i should qualify it, if you're faced with a significant agility gain for a SLIGHT (like >.3%) hit loss, then agility is king. HOWEVER if you're missing like .5+% hit rating, then yes, you will need to aim for more hit even at the expense of some agility loss. agility > hit cap ONLY when the difference between ur hit % and the actual cap of 8% is pretty marginal (like less than .3%). thats what i do and it works for me :)
i presume ur asking about my pet, if that's so it's part of being BM. BM hunters get like 6 more talent points or so for their pet. if ur talking about the hunter's talent points then Im not sure what went wrong on your end :/
@DTWmw2 for sure, i could totally see that point, thx for bringing it up :)

@FlazH2670 thats called "ZMobDB Advanced6"
What is your addon for dps. The combat text addon. How its like bloody and stuff?
Is a spiritbeast a good choice for raiding as a BM?
What is the addon where you are standig by youre pet in 3d, and your target also stands in 3d??
@linkslinkcable naw, i was raiding as SV before i took a break from WoW (i think MM will pull higher numbers tho)
@DravenCarey21 Alright, I'll go BM. I've heard it's an easy lvling spec, also.
Thanks again!
Thanks I thought it was removed!

Good guide, but part of it is wrong.
Hit till cap (8%) > Agility.
