I have a question about being in culture without losing my values. So for example I have 2 coworkers, one claims to be a believer but is fornicating and trying to justify the sin. The other coworker is not a believer but is married. I am a celibate believer. For myself where I feel like I am falling the most is ive started cursing again, gossiping, I say I have a dark sense of humor, and I am just loud and 'ghetto' I've been called. I struggle with being me without all of that. They don't really have conversations about the coworker fornicating in front of me, because i dont agree with them, but sometimes they say stuff and I just dont say anything but then feel like Im some how agreeing that its ok. I just need help in this. If it even makes sense.
Side note please don't judge me by my email name. I've chalked it up to being a thorn in my side reminding me where I came from. I don't know how to change it
If they are talking about things you don’t agree with… by you staying silent doesn’t mean your justifying what they are talking about. You’re just simply ignoring and not engaging so you’re not wrong. Also it’s ok to set boundaries in the work place
