wow...this preaching was awesome...about how people vote for abortion being in the church, about how we should not stop coming to church the next time a pandemic( plan-demic) happens but the vax that you need is provided for you in the Bible ..its says take this bread and do it in rememberance of me, communion, ...yes, pastor u are definitely right. What a great sermon!!! I am not being nitpicky, but I am curious of what the alter time look like at the end? it was such a bold message but I’m not really a fan of every eye closed in every head bowed for salvation. Did people come forward for salvation or did they just raise their hands?
Does it really matter how many people answered the altar call? God still moved in the service. How do I know? He stirred my spirit and convicted me of being lukewarm on some things during this message.
@@sfast1973I matters to me….. like I said , it’s an honest question…. I have led worship when pastors were doing alter call and he had them raise their hand with their eyes closed…. Several people raised their hands( I didn’t bow my head or close my eyes)…. After service was over I waited and watched for a few minutes to see if any of the hands that weee raised were ministered to….. I went to one of them and encouraged them…… but many folks were talking afterwards and they were excited that hands went up for salvation but no one knew who they were…. That’s a problem…. How can a new convert be encouraged and discipled if no one knows they “got saved”….. I am glad you were convicted… we need to have conviction but when salvation call are given we need to be able to know who they are and encourage them
I have but a single question for YOU Pastor Myles Rutherford. Do you believe thatbthe commandments were done away with at the cross? Obvious answer is, NO! Do you then OBSERVE THE SABBATH as COMMANDED BY GOD? 4th commandment Remember the SABBATH and KEEP IT HOLY, no work shall you (or anyone else under your roof) do. Not any of your animals either! YASHUA, (JESUS) basically said, If its Life or death, fine. But if NOT, then you better NOT be working. Rest your body, rwnew your mind, so that during the rest of the week, you won't fall. He asks the pharisee "Isnit better to do good or evil on the Sabbath? What if your oxen isnin a ditch? You just gonna let him die? Of course not. He healed a man of dropsey on the Sabbath while having a meal at another pharisee's house, and they all KEPT THEIR TONGUE when he asked them about doing good or evil, you gonna let this man die because of the law, or would you try to heal? Its as plain as the nosenkn your face, UNLESS ITS LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION, WE ARE TO BE RESTING ON THE 7TH DAY! But after that we're told NOT to celebrate our birtgdays once we've received salvation! It says sinners alone celebrate their birthdays but not the saints! You claim to not be catholics but you follow catholic tradition when you celebrate Dec.25th as the day YASHUA was born! In fact that particular day is the ancient roman celebration of saturnailia, a celebration filled with sexual conetation, vulgar displays, and down right disgusting behavior. THAT'S NOT SOMETHING I ASSOCIATE WITH MY LORD AND SAVIOR! The pagan celebrationnof "yuletide" is the same date. "In 1644, if you were celebrating that in England or early early America, they would throw younkn prison! So why hasnit become so commercialized today.(EVEN IN THE HOUSE OF GOD!??) Then word easternis only in the King James version, once, and its a misnomer,.put in place of the original word PASCHA- which means PASSOVER.... Easter is a loose translation of the ancient word ishtar-isis, an ancient goddesnof sex & fertility So when churches have "egg-hunts" for the children, they have them searching for fertility symbols! IS THAT SOMETHING A YOUNG CHILD SHOULD BE CONCERNED WITH? REALLY? I AM TOLD TO BRING TRUTH! SO THATS WHAT IM DOING! I'M NOT DOGGING YOU OUT I'M ..."RAISING MY VOICE"....as you said! Speak your truth friend. However, please be mindful how you say things. Speak the truth but in LOVE! Love isn’t being aggressive in your speech. I used to sound like you until God delivered me from the spirit of fear and rejection. I became forceful to people about my beliefs because deep down I was afraid of people going to hell because of MY lack of understanding of who God actually is. All that zeal, may have a root of rejection from others thus your view of how God sees you. I’ll pray that God reveals to you His love x
I don't know man. I'm not trying to get into it with you cause judging by the way your original comment was I won't think we can really have a positive back and forth, but it seems to me that the Sabbath was a Jewish commandment and when reading about the counsel at Jerusalem(acts 15), it appears that the apostles didn't believe that the Sabbath was necessary for us gentiles, as well as especially colossians 2:16 as well as Acts 14:5, both of which seem to point that the Sabbath is no longer required but wonderful if you choose to practice resting on the Sabbath. What I will say is if you do then you need to do it right. Resting on sabbath meant not working and there's a whole list of things I see people who observe the sabbath break. Not to mention the 600 some odd OT laws that you no longer follow and if the sabbath is necessary, those should be as well. As for birthdays, there is absolutely no where where the Bible says Birthdays=sin, not does it say sinners alone celebrate birthdays, you are completely stretching to make that statement and applying your opinion to examples and insinuating doctrine where that's just not the case. My deciding to sit with my kids and celebrate and praise God that he has given them another year of life is in no way sinful, it's done as a way to glorify God first, and enjoy time with them and family second, insinuating something nefarious is asinine. As for Christmas, there are several good books that deal with that, not only are there books like "The case for Christmas" by Lee Strobel, but others like Andrew Macgowan have made a pretty good case that the idea that it was pagan was nothing but an anti-Christian lie. The fact is, there are good arguments on both sides but Jesus was probably born between late sept and late Dec and the simple fact was he was born, and me celebrating that is in no way Anti-Christian or Anti-God, Nothing about my family and our celebrating is inherently bad, we celebrate Christ and his birth, and again you have to actually work a lot harder to fight against these things than you should. But hey, you are free to keep the Sabbath, Paul made that clear and he made it clear that neither you or I should be a stumbling block for the other, especially on these non-primary issues. When a non believer stumbles across this video, he's gonna see your comment to the pastor, and I shudder to think what he will think of Christ afterwards. You don't know how many times I have been speaking to people and have had them throw back in my face the in fighting between churches. Of course I believe there are times to take stand. This pastor hit on many, but what does not help, and only serves to hurt and push people is when I get upset, or as you did here, and attached the pastor on things he wasn't even speaking on. I don't hear talk of Christmas, Birthdays, or the Sabbath, and instead of either addressing things he said, or encouraging him for standing strong in a world where it is no longer easy, instead you've erected straw men and gone at him.
