Never in my life has I seen these birds until we moved temporarily from northern Georgia to Dallas, Texas. Suddenly they were everywhere. Everyone else couldn’t have cared less, but I was enthralled by them haha!
Yesssss! I've been looking for a word to describle some of their sounds and that. is. it. ELECTRICITY!! I was thinking old video game, dial up modem...but those were not quite right. Thank you!!
Ive been able to make friends with one after only a week or two of putting out food for them at the same time every day. Very intelligent birds. The grackle will follow me to the mail now, super cool.
@@dcalcat3932 I feed them a bird food mix, as well as some pellets meant for parrots. I also like to give them human food I know they can eat, like different kinds of vegetables
Playing a solo RPG game called “Grackle Teeth”. It’s based in Austin Texas. Very fun game. Very interesting birds. Very spooky calls if you listen to it just right.
I lived in TX for a few years. These grackles always made me feel like a hot chick the way they would cat call me from telephone wire to telephone wire every block I walked every day all day and night.
Am sung to by these here in Mesa AZ. Since my backyard is enclosed, I have no pets, AND don't use either pesticides or fertilizer (no chemicals basically) I've found they & other birds use my backyard as a "day trip" for the local fledglings.😊
They're all over Phoenix and Tucson. They and the mockingbirds, both ictirids, fill the niches here that corvids do elsewhere. They're tons of fun to watch.
@@Birdfun OK, if it's no trouble, would you listen to the main ost for it. There is a bird sound at the start that I'm having trouble identifying. I want to say it's possibly a african bird, but I could be wrong. Hoping you might know what it could be.
Never saw them growing up in California .. Now I'm in Arizona and they're everywhere. They bully the doves pigeons and quails and that makes me happy....i have an irrational hatred of quails
Very successful species! Extending their range one Walmart at a time.
Did they get successful by working hard? Lol
Lmao, so I'm not the only one who noticed.
I came here after seeing them at Sam's club. 😂 I said I ain't never heard a crow sound like that!!
Oh ffs… first time I noticed them was at a Walmart 🫢
@@GrassPunk0512for the longest time I thought they were Ravens/crows as a kid

They come to my office at work and make these noises letting me know they’re ready for me to feed them. They’re very intelligent.
Awesome, intelligent, and very beautiful birds Grackles are. I love seeing, feeding, and interacting with them. Love their sounds too.♥️♥️
The grackles are hilarious! Listening to them, you'd swear they were in an episode of the 3 Stooges!

Same, but in Texas. They especially love when I cut my lawn and they can get at the bugs that were chilling on the surface.
Impressive vocals!!👋😊
With a name like "grackle", I was expecting something akin to a crow or raven.
