I love that you are not in a giant house I could never afford, or minimalist-appearing with places to hide your things - this is relatable! I could never homeschool but I do work in my church daycare and my kids are on the Abeka curriculum which I am so far quite impressed with. My 1st grader is learning cursive so fast! And she didn’t start in kindergarten at her Waldorf school (loved their concept, but this was better for us)
I like Abeka and would like to use it with my children. However, I must say that I felt overwhelmed watching this with all the "stuff" the children have. lol. Thank you for the quality video.
I love that they do the pledge. My cousin just graduated public high school here in ohio i graduated 10 years ago and i remember the pledge but my cousin said she didn't know what the pledge even was.
Also jess how is your husband been doing with his injury? How long is a typical school day for the kids? What would happen for schooling if the kids were to sick for the day?
I agree about the pledge. Those values are very important to us! My husband is doing well, Thank you for asking! A typical school day is around 4-5 hours for Georgia (k5) and sitting around 7 hours for gunner (1st), which includes breaks and seatwork. If they're sick, depending how sick, I'll let them lay on the couch and just watch their classes and then do seatwork/worksheets when they feel better, or we take the day off and make it up later. Since I have the whole year organized and filed away by weeks, I like to make up the sick day immediately so I don't have to go through and re-file the whole rest of the year. If that makes sense. Thankfully we haven't had to take more than 1 sick day, so we make the day up on a Saturday and then jump back in on Monday. :-) That's a really good question. The beauty of homeschooling is that you can make your own schedule, so your kids never really have to miss a day of school and you can do it when you want. Ie: morning, or afternoon, you can go outside and do your worksheets or travel or do school on the weekends, whatever works for your family. It's really amazing and Gunner and Georgia are really thriving with the Abeka curriculum. 💕 I hope you do homeschool! It's awesome! Thank you for watching and commenting!! ❤️

I would be great if you could do some type of bedwetting or/some times day wetting products review. Cloth diapering is something I'm interested in as far as sending my 4th great child to school. He has wet him self 3 times lats week and his teachers are recommending diaper until this issue stops.

I like that you also have all of the charts and Flash cards for your kids to work on after school time etc. How do you know which charts to have ready before the classes? I think we will also purchase these. I would love a flip through of your charts/Flash Cards. Thanks!
Also, do your kids skip the "Seatwork" instruction video, since you are able to show them? Or, is this an important video not to skip? Thinking about ways to cutback on the screen time:)
