ATTENTION: Gold is the paint quality tier, NOT THE PAINT COLOR. WHITE is Montana Can's entry level cans, GOLD is the middle quality, and BLACK is the Professional quality. All three tiers (White, Gold, Black) come in a massive variety of colors. I was certainly confused here, and Montana does not explain this concept very clearly to new buyers. Also every can has a black safety ring under the removable cap that MUST be removed to spray. Your can is fine, Karen, read the instructions! lol

I'm also going to use this on a guitar body but I want to use Dupli-Color silver or white base coat... do I have to use your base coat first or can I use a Dupli-Color paint that I have? Its acrylic enamel..
Since you got no answer I honestly used the 2x coverage rustoleum gloss (has to be glossy) for my white base then the black crackle and it turned out amazing.
I normally paint with duplicolor for its quality but didn’t use it for my crackle project so o can’t answer that but I can answer what I used lol I didn’t use their white base coat
@@ricklepick5134have you tried it with the gold cans before too or just with the Rustoleum cans? Just curious cuz Ive heard some people say Rustoleum worked better than the gold cans, I’m working on a kit guitar & I think Ima do a crackle, but I’ve never done one before so I’d appreciate any info homie, also good call with the has to be a gloss finish thing, I didn’t know that,
also you think it’d work with the colorshift cans?
@@ProfessorPerhaps I’m not too sure about the painting exactly, I did some research about it and saw them using rustoleum gloss and saying gloss works the best. It was my first time trying and it turned out great! I haven’t tried the gold or anything. My guitar was white base coat and the black crackle over so the white shows. I sprayed the white on and immediately threw on the crackle paint on pretty thick but not too thick to where I had paint dripping and it crackled really nice! I’m not too familiar with the whole process though cause it was my first attempt but I’m happy with how it turned out! Idk if I could do it that good again 🤣 I have another project guitar lined up to do it though!
Will the crackle spray work with the gold chrome?
Idk if you still need an answer homie but yee it should work, I haven’t tried it myself but I was just checking out a can of the gold at the store today & it says their effect line works with it on the can/label

Bonjour a tous je cherchais a vérifier qqch en particulier mais apparemment il n'y rien de cela sur google ni sur TH-cam ... Bref si vous voulez un Tuto pour utiliser la MTN Crackle sans être formaté par les tutos MTN ... C'est vrmt pas compliqué ... Après forcement il y a le crackle classique, transparent, qui contrairement a MTN (Prends beaucoup trop de temps sans exacte certitude du résultat) Bref ... Acrylique, temps de séchage, crackle, clairement MTN c'est le mieux, (enfin dans ceux que j'ai testés) quantitée pulverisée, chauffage, et quand a parler de faire un fond noir et bomber du rouge par dessus ce qui ressort le mieux ? Besoin d'une seule chose ... une MTN CRACKLE ^^
