Hi Sean, you and Dad hit a home run with your TH-cam channel. Your content is not only educational, it’s also entertaining. Seeing you and your extended family doing things together gives hope that people still care and tight families still exist. Thank you.
Great videos about family life on a farm and building/remodeling stuff....and having fun doing it with friends and family. And the best thing is you share it with all of us! Thanks much!
For a 2 day job, this was insanely nice done ! And all the people coming together to help, really must be a hometown thing, cause that's just unique and amazing.
No vision, i have worked in the oilfield, moving drilling rigs for 20 years. Nearly every winch truck has a full custom steel bed with what we call a possum belly in the middle of the frame for extra storage. There are some that are manufactured to look the same as the next but the majority are one off customs. You had the beginning of a steel bed if you had just cut that lift off. Trying to be legal when hauling big weight, they don't help much but for farm use where dot doesn't mess with you, it could have been utilitarian and look good with a little sheet metal work on a foundation that already existed. Took 2 days to make it look like every other road truck 😂 with a bare frame showing. Lookup custom oilfield winch trucks. Just the road trucks and not the big rig up trucks. Some are very generic looking on google but some i have been around are works of art.
Had a good chuckle over Christmas gifts. When you're a kid, you dread getting clothes. When you were in your teens, you wanted tech and money. After leaving the house and on your own, you wanted clothes, tools, house/kitchen gadgets, and money. Once in your 40s or 50s, tools or gadgets for your hobbies.
I really like you with Paul and fabrats. But you and your father have quickly become my favorite TH-cam channel I wish you a wonderful New Year I can't wait for more adventures
That's a pretty sweet old Pete! A thumb on the backhoe would be a big help. Detroits; if there ain't oil under them, there ain't oil in them! There's a lot of good material left on the old hauler bed.
Wow what an amazing transformation in this old car hauler to a cattle hauler. This was all the family and friends getting it done. Good video and content!
Love that line "fancy and farm welds are not that far apart". You guys are great to watch, reminds me of the time my dad and spent in the shop together back in the day. Like the call back to the Dally song.
I had to take a break on this video. Dang I wish we were closer I'd love to buy some nice iron from that hauler for builds. Where we live steel is expensive as heck. Good video. An old fella told me "Son you draw picture of a Detroit on the wall come back later and it'll be dripping oil.
Nothing like working with your dad. The father/son family thing is nothing to take For granted. When I have to Hire something out I always hunt for the home town boys! Great job and love the semi! Looking forward to the semi build your dad mentioned…
Father and son team with some real talent. There are no real price for the job you all do. The things you build, you just can’t simply buy it at a store. Keep up the good work
Awesome video Sean and pops!! I have a Nabor that has a pretty sweet all light blue Peterbilt and it is definitely awesome!!! He also hauls cows with his nice peterbilt!! I have also been a big fan of big trucks ever since the late 80s when we was building my mom and dads house and we would run up and down the interstate to their new property to build are new houses and we would be on the interstate for about 60 miles one way and I would always be trying to get them to blow the air horns and seeing all the cool peterbilts just made me drool over them!!! Awesome video fellas!!!
Great example of why I love to watch your channel- great job. Now we just have to let more folks know so you can get to 100K subscribers like this family oriented content deserves.
Hey I drove a 379 car hauler similar to that one for 12 years. The pto pump is what is used when loading or unloading. The electric over hydraulic pump in the box should have a master switch in the cab and also a switch at the hydraulic controls to turn it on when you need to move a rack a little bit or if the pto pump goes out or the truck won't run.
I really enjoy your channel, I like watching the family and friends supporting each other and getting the job done. Unlike many TH-cam channels that seem to have unlimited funds, your channel is more down to earth, reality. Good people making a living and having fun at the same time. Ending the day with the satisfaction of a job well done.
Nice work guys! I still remember wear a pain it was too do an engine overhaul on a truck just like this 20 yrs ago. All the brackets along with Lo Pro tires, what a pain!
Sean, you and your Dad have a great channel! I enjoy watching your variety of build projects and the camaraderie and teasing one another about past stories is great to watch and puts a smile on my face every time. Keep at it, fun to watch!
@ thank you. I asked you based on your comment. Thank you for confirming that. I’m not sure how I missed that. Been watching since video #1 and share your enthusiasm for the content. Cheers!
Great job guys love watching your videos love how you work with your dad reminds me back in the day when I used to work with my dad keep up the good work keep them videos coming
You guys are great! My dad uncle and grandpa owned a truck shop when I was a kid. The talk of building trucks brought back a lot of memories. The comment about Detroit leaving spots everywhere you parked it made me literally laugh out loud.
Ya’ll have become my favorite TH-cam channel. I find both you and your content so relatable. Everyone has their own style, I guess, but I like it just the way it is.
Love the Channel guys, its very entertaining and also very educational as well. You folks are a great testament to just getting stuff done. Doesn't matter what the job is, just learn as you go, and use all the experience you have from other builds and repairs. Such a nice change from the THROW away society that we now live in. Hopefully your channel grows ALOT this year.
Shaun and Shane are doing Great Really outstanding work reoutfitting the chassis Thanx for sharing your Great Work and Content and Video Have a Great Day 👍 God Bless You and your Family's
You were wondering what that other setup was that's an electric backup if you don't run the truck you're supposedly be able to run it off of that nobody ever uses on some most of the time they're froze up and don't work but it's another hydraulic it's just an auxiliary to back up your PTO
I have my Peterbilt 379, that I spent a bit on engine work and transmission! It is no used as a over the road truck, I go to the truck rodeos and some other events! Ì enjoy racing it! I've been known to occasionally show off on the street! Doing a burn outwith it freaks most people out, but taking off from a light with the driver steer tire coming off the road 18 plus inches makes the guy in the vett want to talk to you!
As others have said, you have an excellent channel and I love watching you, your Dad and whoever else drops in, work together. Y'all are salt of the earth people. Hopefully you reach 100,000 subs this year.
The electric pump is so you can run the hydraulics with the truck off. This way if you are unloading some place where the truck can’t be running. That truck was a top of the line car hauler when it was built new.
Good Ole Boys, what America was built on (and girls). Thanks for the videos. I think you guys can get along with just about everybody, but ya have sense to not get to close to some kinds😁. You both have a knack of making good videos that are both entertaining and educational. God bless. John here, photographing the beauty of the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee, y'all.
I've never run one of those car haulers but all the hydraulic ones I have run have electric backups. Great job taking that menace off the road and putting it to a good use!! First truck I drove was a Silver V-92 in an old Kenworth pit truck: was kinda beaten by the time I got to it but would've loved to take it out on the hiway. Had 2 old Allis-Chalmers loaders with it in the pit and 4 engines standing by for parts.
I love watching you work with your dad and friends on cool builds like this. I'm curious if your dad is related to Merlin. They shure look and act a lot alike. Great job, Shawn.
This is just real life stuff, no drama, no clickbait, nothing fancy, just the way it should be. Love the channel, don't change a thing !

The pump on the side of truck is to be able to unload if truck will not run. Enjoy watching all your videos.
For a 2 day job, this was insanely nice done ! And all the people coming together to help, really must be a hometown thing, cause that's just unique and amazing.
It was an amazing amount of work. The camera didn’t do much justice on how much was done in two days. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the ride along. Have a Awesome day.

The electric pump is just an auxiliary unit, so you can move the decks with the truck shut off. Most car haulers have both
Friends and Family build, it’s all GREAT 👍🇺🇸
Lou from South Florida

Father and son team with some real talent. There are no real price for the job you all do. The things you build, you just can’t simply buy it at a store. Keep up the good work

Sean, your friend Paul may want the hauler bed for that old semi he got. That is if you don’t have plans for it. Really enjoy the videos.
Wow what a project
You guys did a great job getting it apart
Great Job. Repurposing a truck that most people/dealers would just scrap is inspiring. Long live that Old Pete!
Well said!

Looking forward to the semi truck build. Sounds cool. 💪🏻👍🏼

BFH for the win! Lol.. I was saying to myself, you need a big hammer.. Then you said what I was thinking! Lol.
I used to tell my customers "Takes big bucks to drive big trucks, doesn't matter if it's a semi or a jacked up pickup."
What a great channel watching you and your dad and all your family working together and having fun
Thanks 👍

That truck was a top of the line car hauler when it was built new.
Definitely would have left some adjustment further back in my opinion .. but definitely looks better a bull wagon then a parking lot..
