Great commentary on Bailey's Marvel. My family recently purchased the property on Pine Island where that first Bailey's Marvel tree was grown by the Bailey brothers. The tree is still here producing fruit to this day...

Great video. My newly planted Baileys is loaded with buds already, my 2 Hadens too! I hope they survive the cold snaps
here in Lehigh Acres. I've been covering them up with frost blankets.

@@TrulyTropical Do you recommend watering mango trees before a cold snap or not watering before the snap.? I've been told both

I had this mango tree in Miami. The most delicious ever. I live in Middleburg fl. Can I purchase this tree from you? Also, will it survive the climate here?
Very interested in your response 🥭

ten thousand THANKS for this blessed video. I do have the 'MANGO MARVEL' among the 6 species that I grow in my back garden. They are only 3 years old grafted with one exception, the KERRY which I grew from a SEED and therefore has not yet produced fruits. I have been combing the internet looking for the answer to 'when is the best time to pick the this type of mango. They look rosy pink and plump, but still very hard. I now know that I can wait till July. Thanks, once more!

Hello, Here is South Florida Bailey's Marvel is a vigorous grower that can become very large. It would not be good container choice in Florida.

I agree. Love all the colors of the mangoes. Such beautiful fruit. And the one she cuts open...yellow with a neat green pattern! Not all fruit looks like a peach. Thanks Chris!

I grew up on Pine Island! All the old groves are at Pineland. I always thought they were all Haden mangoes there. You won't believe this but I never would touch a mango or eat one I thought I didn't like them. Im now in Port Charlotte Florida, a couple years back I bought a Valencia pride from a guy out on Pine Island. The tree is huge and grew very quickly it only had four fruit for the first time last year I decided to taste them after I watched a TH-cam video teaching me how to cut. My goodness what I have been missed out on for 60 years! I have four beautiful little seedlings that I plan on grafting soon, grown from those 4 mangos. Learning so much from your channel. Thanks so much. By the way, the tree is loaded this year!

Our mango season usually starts in May, peaks in June and July and finishes up in August. However, the timing of the mangos depends entirely on the weather.
