It's beautiful, great craftsmanship!! I retire at the end of this month, so I'll add this to my list of things to do to fill my time and keep me busy. Can't become a couch potato!!!
I have watched two or three other people on this TH-cam channel making this and you are the one and only one that explains in detail every single step you don’t miss a beat you’re very detail oriented. It’s the best video in my opinion on this wooden flag.! I find most people on a TH-cam channel lie about a lot of things and hide a lot of things just to get views. I find that honest and you have integrity and I appreciate that. Thank you for your videos.! you do amazing work!
@@oldeshed well you deserve high kudos! because most people on here are full of crap in my opinion and you are honest and to the point and in detail keep up the good work I’m proud of you
@@oldeshed For sure it is on my todo list. Currently, I have several projects that are higher priority. This always seems to be the case for me. Thanks again for the great video!
It's important to clarify that the 2.5" doesn't come in from just anywhere at the top of the board. More specifically, the measurement from the 4" mark comes down 39" to the edge of the board. From that point at the edge of the workpiece, come in 2.5". The next line comes from the 5" mark to the 2.5" mark. Hope that helps.
My finger is right on the mark I'm referring to. Later in the video I darken up the lines. That should help. The measurements are available on my website. There's a link in the description. Thanks
I'm happy to see you are enjoying making the flags. I appreciate you watching and the mention.

Thanks very much.....get going!!
Can you explain how you put the 2 curved relief cuts forwards the bottom? I don’t believe you mentioned them but I can clearly see them in your flag
What an excellent explanation. Clear and detailed.
Beautiful results.
Thank you very much!
I've watched my share of videos on the process of draped flags and yours is by far the best, very detailed. Thanks so much.
Glad you liked it. Thanks for the compliment!
Very nice craftsmanship and amazing detail... Old Glory is looking beautiful!
Thanks for the video.
Thank you very much!

Nice job and great explanation on the layout. I also watch Haney videos and between the two of you I think I got it. Thank you
That's great. Thanks for watching. Send me a picture when you finish your first flag.
Excellent explanation and finished project
Thank you very much. Are you going to try making your hand?

Excellent video, best explanation yet on how to make one
Thank you very much.
How did you trace the stars??? With what instrument??? Thanks.
This is what I used: White Mechanical Fabric Pencil: amzn.to/4e7e83t, along with the star stencil: Star Stencil: amzn.to/3Utt9pq
Oh my GOD. Thank you.. I tried a mechanical pencil. A sharp blade, sharp wooden pencil… I appreciate your response…..
So the 2.5” mark is 39”from the top of the board ?

@@oldeshed it did. Thanks.
i tape stain and pull the tape off had good luck with that cheers1
At 7:45 you say, "from this mark". I can't see what mark you're talking about. It's hard to see those lines in that light, or the marks.
