Listen im a Louisville fan who follows Kentucky closely and most certainly pulls for them aside from the Ville. Kentucky has plenty of talent and seems to play well together the majority of the time. I also dont see ky losing three in a row, they are gonna be fired up tonight and hungry for a win! Kentucky by 7!!
I’m also a Louisville fan, but I follow Kentucky close as well. I absolutely agree with your comment. Kentucky definitely has the talent. Cards and the Cats both came through tonight!
With Kentucky literally having zero point guards available for the game due to injuries, they don't have much of a chance in what would have otherwise been a coin-toss game if everyone had been healthy.
Great job as always guys! Die Hard UK fan here, but I have to be honest UK seems a little soft in this brutal league, I see Amari Williams get bumped around and he goes down like he is expecting a call and this year he is not going to get it. They need a little more toughness, and having these injuries hurts bad. I am hoping they pull off a huge win but frankly I would not be surprised to see UT put a beating on them! Go Cats! :)
If you think Kentucky has a legit shot to beat Tennessee in Knoxville, then you’re delusional. And I’m a Kentucky fan. We need to be realistic. Look at our numbers on the road. Our offense is worse away from Rupp. Noticeably worse. And you know the Vols aren’t happy about losing to Auburn. I’m worried we’re about to get blown out of the gym.
I am fully delusional. Kentucky will win this. I don’t see the hype in Tennessee’s defense Kentucky’s offense over powers. Tennessee is over achieving.
If you think Kentucky doesn't have a chance you are dillusional. Even with them being down key guys, their good enough when they play with energy to beat anybody. Honestly I don't see why pope doesn't play Amari and BG both, and rotate one out at a time in rotation. Could be huge defensively, and they might end up doing that. Yeah it seems unlikely because Tennessee is elite at home and their coming off a loss, but a good Kentucky team would go into Knoxville and smack them like they almost always do.
Easy, like it is every year when we go down there. Our best two players with two quick fouls on the bench inside of the first 6/7 minutes and no fouls for homers, and hackball unlimited for Tenn.
Auburn had many uncontested, wide open shots against the Vols. They just missed them. UK wins this one. The Cats are just that good on the offensive side.
@ Yes, the team who scores the most wins. Defense will always keep you in a game when you are struggling offensively. Things can get tight in big games, especially in March.
@ Here''s what I'm getting at... 2024 - UConn - #1 Offense, #11 Defense 2023 - UConn - #6 O, #18 D 2022 - Kansas - #6 O, #29 D 2021 - Baylor - #3 O, #44 D 2019 - Virginia - #2 O, #5 D 2018 - Villanova - #1 O, #22 D 2017 - UNC - #4 O, #25 D 2016 - Villanova - #11 O, #7 D 2015 - Duke - #3 O, #57 D
@ I understand all of those stats. In close games though, during March Madness when the game is close, defense will win games. Especially in the final minute or so.
Thing about basketball, id take offense over defense all day, if Kentucky hits shots, they beat Tennessee. If they can just play with the same heart and energy they have in other big games, Kentuckys offense will be too much even for Tennessee. You have to take into consideration that Kentucky doesn't lose whenever they take care of the ball, I'm pretty sure there is an extra focus on protecting the ball after the insanity vs Vanderbilt. Just depends on if they show up and play to win, or just show up and go through the motions like they did vs Vanderbilt. Kentucky wins this game, even down key guys, just like they did vs Gonzaga.
@michaelbell5 well I have to agree without Butler were screwed. Looks like their gonna have a rough stretch, as long as they can get healthy by mid February and find a way to not lose every game until then, they should still be fine, and be a major threat come tournament time.
Yeah without Carr, and Butler also being injured, I am under no illlusion we pull away with the W against TN at TN... But UK MUST WIN THE GAME AGAINST ARKAN-SASS ON SAT!
Limping shorthanded into Knoxville against a missed off Tennessee team does not give me great confidence, better hope for a legendary shooting performance against the number 1 3pt defense in the nation 😬 Go Cats but I'm not feeling good on this one.
Not a chance. His entire first year is a honeymoon period. But if we drop five in a row, Arkansas and then at Ole Miss, it will certainly look really bad
Kentucky is historically the cheatenest team in college basketball. Hell their arena is named after the man who invented cheating. Thats why nil is good! Now theyre not the only ones paying players
The cats go into FoodCity and beat those overrated bum volunteers. we are the university of Kentucky we run this league. Tennessee has no chance to beat us.

@BradPeyton-k4z 💯💯💯
Being down Carr, krissa and potentially butler. I don’t see us having a shot honestly
Yep, Butler is officially out for the Tennessee game. Ouch!
Go Vols!!
Gotta be honest tho. 9 points seems like a lot.
With these injuries I see Kentucky slipping and it may actually be a game against Arkansas. WOW!
I just found out that Butler is out against Tennessee. This is bad!
Arkansas cant even score 60 points lol
@ As the song goes-“Ain’t that a shame.”
Maybe Cal should bring back the shoot around?

@questioneverything1646 that's a good win probably their best win
@chuckroutionGB2022
Amen! Unbelievable!
Watching this hits different after Kentucky wins.
Remember last time Tennessee fav 10+ against Kentucky !
KENTUCKY won double digits!
I agree no Carr its a loss
Nope
No Carr means a loss.
No Butler now either for this game and maybe longer. Ouch!
This aged well
@ A very pleasant surprise.
@BryanNew-x3g Yes it was. I didn't think we would win.
Anything can happen. Without Carr & Lamont.. Both Jax and Brea have to have a shooting masterclass
Before the horrible loss to vandy I would have said Kentucky by 6 but now I'm thinking Tennessee by 12 -15 honestly
Wild swing considering vandy beat both teams within a week
I mean Vandy isn't bad, people are acting like we lost to Miami of Ohio.
@@codyrockarano5220 vandy is a good team they beat Tn I look for TN to roll tonight

In BBN land it’s never an upset when UK beats Tennessee.
