We live IN northeast CT on the border of MA...we have had no snow and the lakes are thawed for about a month...we've had lots of rain the last 3 days and all the trees are popping and grass is green now. We want to move up to Maine to retire (CT is AWFUL TO retirees...our raised ranch on 4 acres will be $10000 annual town tax very soon...crazy!! Can't wait to leave CT!😊

Well, the house wasn't totally renovated. That old inefficient oil boiler and foil wrapped water tank would cost a fortune to heat in Maine. The house looks at the lake separated by the busy road. Bet the owner wants over a million for it

The taxes in 2022 were $2686. Any other buildings would need to be approved by the code enforcement of the town. Not sure how you would plan on doing a hydro project on the property.
Reminds me of our old house in Connecticut. These houses, in the late 1800's to early 1900's, were built to last.
