- The problem with vinted, depop or ebay Football Shirt Shopping is the large scale of fakes on these sites, that sellers are not being transparent about them being fakes, sometimes using the misleading word "replica shirt". How do you even identify fakes on these sites?

The Rolling Stones shirt was available to buy but it was a limited release one. Buying from these sites is a proper minefield. I've reported so many sellers as you go to their page and you see two dozen shirts for this season, BNWT all selling for £25 or less.
Yeah - I wasn’t sure if it was, but it was certainly not available at that price
Since being on vinted, looking at the shirts you can immediately tell which ones are fake because the shirts are probably from 5-10 years ago and yet when they say they are brand new with tags it’s fake because the tag says 2023 or 2024 so that’s how I tell but my recommendation is going to charity shops for cheap shirts
Yeah if you can see the tags adn teh tags are wrong it helps. generic "Adidas Jsy" is usually a dead giveaway.
Yesterday I wanted to buy a a shirt on vinted. Found a lot of nice shirt for pretty good prices. I didnt immediately buy it. Now one day later the whole situation feels kind of sus. 80% of the shirts still have a price tag on it (even if they are 3 years old) but are sold for 20-40€. No way those shirts are real... but you never know tho
I think it’s one or two sellers with multiple new accounts.
If you can see the label check out the code on it.
You’re Enzo Maresca doppelganger 😂😂😂
Played for Palermo - I’ll take it!
I spend a lot of time on this site and would say 9 out of 10 shirts are fake or not correctly described. I only buy if the seller has correctly shown the code, or I can compare with a shirt I already have. I’ve found some real bargains but yeah it’s time consuming!
That’s the route I’m taking too. I did check their rules- if it’s fake you should get refund and not have to return it. However the number I’ve reported that are obv fake and vinted say “sorry looks fine to us” doesn’t leave me confident.
I find the fakes are all uploaded early morning and Tbf I think most dissapear within a day or two. I’ve noticed some patterns that I might share at some point after I’ve done some more digging.
Agree. There are a couple of good sellers on vinted who ive bought some 90s shirts from and they are spot on, but mostly fakes for sure. Whatnot is the way to go for real shirts, seen you on there out bidding me on a few shirts :)
Yes. I've picked up real shirts on vinted/depop for sure. But you really have to be careful.
Whatnot I have got about 98% genuine- and those that weren't were genuine mistakes on the sellers part.
Sorry for the outbidding haha
I asked people for the tags and. Cord
Cord? (I think this autocorrected from code maybe?)
But yeah tags is always way to go- but I also had some sellers waste my time.
Photographing the tags should be a requirement.
Just look at the place of the code for NIKE shirt. You can easily know that’s fake.
Buying off DHgate and selling for double. Shirts are good quality though
Yeha exactly. I'm on fence about fakes but if they arent transparent about it. If you dont ask they wont tell you its fake.@@bigfatolly1482
@@bigfatolly1482 ain't it illegal tho?
Hi I’m looking on Depop at the moment for imparticularly a Ronaldo euros shirt, there’s quite a few international shirts in general from this year in the 30-40 pound price range with tags, would this be trust worthy there are good reviews on products but the price just seems too low for new shirts that go for 80pound retail
Ask to see the product tags. If they refuse to show product tags/ don’t respond it’s likely fake
@@SiMaggioFootball yes I asked if they could confirm whether the product was real or not with tags and was aired so steered clear.
In general older kits n training wear from the last World Cup are on discount heavily on pro direct and sports direct. Was thinking of buying some pieces looks good if you’re thinking of purchasing any
@@arjunsandhu7747 I also go older stuff anyway - forget overpriced new stuff
@@SiMaggioFootball yeah you are right. Nike charge over a 100pound for gym wear essentially. I only ever buy things like that when they’re on sale after the season or tournaments then it’s worth it 👍🏽
I will say that there are a lot of shirts from like 2-3 seasons ago for bargains I got a few and there 100% real
Sorry, yes there are certainly real shirts on there. I've bought some myself. The video was more to highlight the issue with the volume of fakes.
I’ve been on vinted now all them shirts you said are fake are real you need educating on football shirts
Which ones. They are 100% fake. It’s very easy to tell for most.
None of the shirts on vinted or depop are fake it’s a bargain site vinted is ace! Your all clueless about football shirts you don’t need to check the code
You definitely do. I know what the websites are.
Some fakes are very close to the real ones now it’d be hard to tell without checking the codes. I’m sorry to say if you’ve just been buying loads off there without checking you’ve probably bought fakes.
