I just got 100 items deleted for allegedly commercial reselling.
Only been on there a week, sold one item accepting a low ball half my price offer.
I'm selling 30 years of excessive impulse buying, allllll my own stuff.
Stuck at home with plaster cast after op so got to work listing
Paid 6.99 for wardrobe spotlight n uploaded each day. One hour after wardrobe spotlight expired, all my listings except 15 were removed as commercial selling not allowed.
Back n forth customer service was no help
If I upload these same items I will get banned. Tried explaining they are my clothes and I'm working with a support worker to declutter my house... Ignored. Just copy n pasted replies about commercial selling and rules... I broke NO rules.
Apparently uploading too many in one go is a red flag... Imagine taking 2 days off work to declutter n sell your sht n have this happen. Or you're downsizing n getting rid of a ton of old stuff.
Jokers. They said its not their business ethos... Their ad is literally don't wear it, sell it. I suggested they add unless you're a hoarder or have time on your hands to spend a few hours uploading.
Total scam. Imagine how much they make taking 7.00 off new accounts n then deleting items after a week.
Closed that Scammy app.

How many items did you have listed , what do you think it was that triggered the ban ?? What do you think is a safe amount to have listed . I usually have about 40 - 50 items on but I have seen sone pages with over 400 items ?
@@jules9990 I've found out from reddit that a trigger is listing too many in a row. I had just over a 100. Stuck at home I was listing one after another for a few hours n apparently tgat triggers it. Advice is 3 to 5 a day spread over the day. That is ridiculous for anyone just de cluttering.
Hoarding UK are getting involved now as its a ridiculous rule esp since you can't get those listings back after contacting customer support.
What's annoying i their def of commercial sellers. I get they don't want it flooded by shops or dropshippers or wholesale buyers like Depop is, but the ppl who are getting banned are what I call flippers. So if they ban ppl flipping, vinted are going to lose a LOT of sales because they don't just pop on n buy one thing at a time, they buy loads n everyone's happy except vinted. I'm guessing that buying too much will soon be a trigger as well. Makes zero sense.
I had this happen to me too… I don’t understand their logic getting rid of the highly rated genuine sellers, when there’s so many fake accounts on there. Hopefully they introduce vinted pro here too
Imagine they doing this at s big scale. I had 60£ on my balance but they are people with more than that. imagine blocking hundreds of accounts or more.
Thing is with Vinted, it’s very amateur compared to EBay, the customer service is terrible and you have to pay for returns that are not as described-I use it to source a lot and only sell the odd things on there but there are loads of obvious resellers on there so don’t know why they singled you out.
We need a UK equivalent of Poshmark.
The reason they don't allow commercial sales is the legislation and infastructure to comply with the legal side would cost an absolute fortune and they can't afford to do it and probably don't have the customer base to make it viable.
Vinted is one of the biggest online market places in the world! They could afford it easy lol

Best to avoid vinted. It has policies that even customer services get wrong. I've had sellers cancel and lie to me about orders being sent without tracking and yet was unable to leave negative feedback for them. Vinted themselves don't leave automatic negative feedback either which therefore misleads the buyer into thinking seller is good

Make sure that you transfer your money in each transaction. Vinted is not transferring money for many Vinted Members and they block accounts while they owe money. If want to use them transfer you money immediately. I’m in a battle at the moment to try to get my 1200 euros and someone else I know is blocked out their account with over 2000 euros on it. Be Warned.
Yea its very similar to what a Chinese website called Playerauctions did to me when I sold digital items for money, they even demanded I pay them £250 to get unbanned because it was my 2nd time being banned (it was my first time but they banned me, unbanned and rebanned me within a minute) and I was only banned because they changed ToS without informing anyone.

I am permanently blocked for selling lightly sprayed perfume I was naughty and kept relisting it. I think everyone deserves a second chance I’m so gutted.
That's why I only use Vinted for "pocket change" selling or I source for reselling . I had a fake Versace bag issue but thankfully that was resolved. Unfortunately I got scammed (or seller refused to refund for a poor quality item 😳), couple of other annoying issues too.
Same thing happened to me months ago, I was given the warning (ar the time i wasnt aware that I couldnt resell on there) so I just stopped listing as it didnt seem worth it. All the time you take making a listing for them to just remove it.
What annoys me is if they dont allow resellers why are they affiliated with cross listing sites surely average Joe Bloggs doesnt pay for a crosslisting site to sell 2 T Shirts a month

Thing is, resellers will happily sell on Vinted, yet they’ll kick up a fuss if another reseller is selling on a personal eBay account and say it’s against trading standards and so on.
Surely this is the exact same thing?
Technically speaking, by selling on Vinted as a business you’re breaking multiple trading standards laws as there’s no correct returns procedure put in place, there’s only a single form of contact and nowhere on the page does it state your business info.

I suppose they are quite right - you are a business trying to make some money and that is not a platform that you should really be dabbling in too much, other than the odd item as that is not their business.
Be interesting to know if selling branded items attracts their attention and whether they get any pressure applied to them from the original brands.

It’s a peer-to-peer (c2c) selling platform not for b2c or b2b. Business Sellers have to conform to different consumer regulations and Vinted is not geared up for that, you know that George!

I was selling dozens of items a month on there with buyers paying a fee for every transaction so Vinted were getting money from my selling activity 👍🏻

Vinted probably have an algorithm that searches for items listed on multiple sites. If I were in your position Id cherry pick your best items and only list them on Vinted.
Stumbled upon your video as my items have been blocked by Vinted. Vinted falsely accused me that I'm using someone's images. Hell No! Those are my photos. I can't stand with them and I'm closing my account. Vinted are not worthy! There are a bunch of reseller apps there.
What Vinted seems to misunderstand is that we aren't really a business, we bought items 2nd hand and decided to sell them. The thing about Vinted is that it allows us to make extra money and they make actual money out that. A guy like me is alone making some cash, I'm not a corporation with employees, they are !

Vintes has deleted 67 items😢, i was constantly uploading products, i was selling a lot😢
I’ve been on vinted for two weeks and it’s not been a great experience. I personally will be sticking to eBay from now on. I also find the quality of products sold on vinted to be poor (lots of used primark clothes), lots of stained/really worn items. Then you have the ridiculous offers, and if you happens to have a bad experience with someone and have to leave a negative review you can bet your bottom dollar you’ll receive a petty negative review back.
I hate Vinted - I have now deleted the app. I don’t sell but out of about 10 things Iv bought - Iv had a problem with half the purchases & Vinted really don’t want to help even though as a buyer we ‘have’ to buy buyer protection- it doesn’t mean a thing. Iv had 2 items not turn up & all Vinted said was - when the seller gets the item back from Royal Mail- they will then refund me?!?! I mean wtf is that all about??? Sorry about that I can't just explain how good i felt when my account got reinstated through the help of Lyft_techz i was so surprise how he did a great job you can also reach out to him for help.
I imagine they don’t want the platform awash with reseller’s and they want to give amateurs an opportunity to sell their old items.
It is just a different business model and something new so not sure why people are kicking up such a fuss about it. Like you said they are trialing a pro version so hopefully reseller’s will have that at some point. I just don’t think they want the amateurs to have so much competition when they are selling their old items.

I am a respected seller there with a 7k account. I've been selling for a year without problems and this month has been hellish: they literally came for me, hid, and deleted my items. In the end, yesterday, they marked 15 of my items as commercial and asked me to delete them or convert my account to vinted pro (which I can't do because of my visa status, I'm a foreigner). Sooo I deleted them and will wait for a week without posting anything, hope that helps. Very frustrating :( I really hope to save my acc😔

Same here!, I was banned vinted don’t have the legal rights to have bussines on the platform so once you make a certain amount they have to ban you. The apps designed for people clearing their wardrobes from time to time which is fair seems so stupid as In the end they lose money and people using the site

I wouldn't know if i was selling a fake or not so wouldn't take the risk. I just sell my own stuff from my wardrobe because I know where its from. I have seen a lot of professional resellers on Vinted though, maybe they singled you out because you've got a social media presence.

This app sucks! They falsely accuse me of fraud, when I’m only using my own cards.
Depop remove items of mine 6 of them, Nike Basketball shorts, which I bought in New York Nike shop, Kids are reporting them , depop don't care. Vinted I keep to only 20 items a time.
I seem to sell more items on eBay and Etsy and don’t make many on Vinted or Depop what am I doing wrong?
I bought a "new" ergobaby carrier from Vinted and 1 day after I received the item and clicked "everything okay" a fellow vinted buyer messaged to inform me she had been sold a fake carrier from the same seller and to check with Ergobaby, right enough Ergobaby confirmed mine was fake, I asked vinted for a refund, they said no (shocking service), because I went to my bank about it I was banned.
I bought something off Vinted once and it never arrived had to go to my bank to get my money back, Vinted did'nt care. Their customer service is a shambles. Hate that you have to pay return for inad, sellers can send you any old rubbish and you have to pay for the privilege. Joke company as a buyer.
I've just listed 2 brand new bags, never used so having a clear out - definitively blocked in 2 minutes! Only a message received saying it cant be reversed and its because of fraudulent activity! Will stick to ebay and depop - no issues at all on there.

Well your better off without them. They have permanently blocked me because I never received an item which I asked numerous times for a refund, which they did not honour. As I paid through PayPal I reclaimed my money through them.
They charge you for buyer protection also I would have thought after a month of waiting should have been automatically refunded but no!
I received an article previously which arrived broken, sent photos of article and packaging didn’t so to refund so went through PayPal.
I was a good customer but their lose.

Had to stop buying and selling on vinted, had 6 orders in a row be scammers didn't show up or showed up broken etc and it was like £700 took over 4 weeks to get them to refund. Also sold on there and they refunded 3 customers who said it didn't show but I had sent them tracked and signed and had proof of delivery. Now they have introduced this I think its the end of the platform.

Probably by realising that not many people have a stock of personal items that would need an aircraft hangar to store them .
Terrible experience, listed 3 items and was banned within minutes . Submitted additional photos proving identity, 100% genuine items deemed fake.
Isn’t that the point of buyer protection receive item, confirm ok then release money.
Customer service deemed 2 violations permanent ban. Half a day of my life wasted. Don’t make the same mistake. Do not use site
Vinted is an absolute scam site. Games and consoles listed by new sellers at way way below market value. When something looks to good to be true it usually is
Loads of resellers on there they probably know who you are and knew you would do a video and advertise the site for free 😆

Vinted is an absolute horrible site to use. I ordered £100 of mint PS1 games and asked the woman to package them well which she agreed to. Long story short, she didn't and they all got smashed up. Had a long ordeal trying to sort a refund and ended up giving up as would have to pay shipping back so just bought new cases. The whole time the seller was very rude and even wrote a review saying I was a scammer. Vinted don't even take fake reviews down. Customer service also takes hours to reply. Awful site.

And the thing is between the periods suspension i have some transactions already done before vinted banned me.
I couldn’t see my notifications,messages,between vinted suspended my count.
This is unfair, the transaction already done normally you can communicated with the person or at least you can see if notification.

Try to Open your eyes after 20 photos you can see is fake or the real stuff,and after more then 2OO evaluations only 5 stars.
I’m not the expert can see the fake or real stuff,but I recognizes a little bit I can see by the sewing definitely.

Same with eBay private accounts vs business resellers accounts. You can declare under the threshold anyway claim your fuel, clothing anything you want and not pay any taxes. Makes no odds what account you have if you’ve bought something for £1 then decide to sell it for £1000 who cares you put the money back into the economy anyway buying every day things such as food, paying bills etc unless your stacking thousands upon thousands of pounds. I’ve never seen a video of any reseller explaining how much tax they pay because they don’t so the platform they sell on makes no odds regulated declared or not.
I pay taxes if that puts your mind at rest lol
