Heard a few complaints about black coating chipping off zipper pulls after about a week... INCREDIBLY POOR form for an 800 AUD bag.... To top it off the Taylor Welden of Carryology is telling people to contact the zipper company directly... Just wiped his hands of it even though it ws his product. Anyone else have these quality issues?
I agree with the "complainers" on this one. It is not a Riri problem. They have a wide selection of products. This bag could have chosen a different one. I find that most of the GR collabs end in the same way. There are some poor choices made that would not have passed field testing. For a brand that is suppose to offer ruggedness it is just ironic.
Thanks for as comprehensive review, PK Shiu, as always This one seems like another 'market test' version. If you have the spare money, up to you. I own over than half a dozen of GR1 and Bullet iterations, including the Carryology collabs, among many from other brands including Evergoods, Bellroy, Wingback and Brown Buffalo - with various materials from cotton, cordura, x-pac, leather, ripstop, ultra and dyneema; so, talking from experience, occasionally these brands release (with marketing pumps like collabs, limited edition, etc.) to see if the market bites a new adjustment or feature, therefore often these products are not fully resolved. If the market appetite is good, they would then release the more refined version(s). Successful companies with lots of fan base would do this testing often, because their fans would help support the buy-in.
@@PKShiu It's a broad question. So, at high level, the design would be a combination of Bullet or GR1 with laptop compartment of evergoods CPL, front pocket of brown buffalo conceal, with minimal pockets on the inner front flap side, and one or two more pockets on the inner back panel side, or doubled as an inner water bottle compartment. I like the Wingback wide strap fabric on GR1 padding. For the size, 19L would be a more useful size, and not more than 18 inches high and keeping the thin side profile. Overall it needs to keep the simple profile (external pockets are well hidden while easily accessible). Material-wise, I would prefer Ultra or Dyneema as lightweight and abrasive resistance while maintaining the shape (for easy pocket access) is important for daily commuting on public transport or even walking around town. Hope this helps :)
@@PKShiu feel a little bit betrayed the weight isn't like the spec in the design article.. but well it's leather. i'll know soon if it's too heavy for me.
Someone seems a tad envious. From the very beginning, he was gushing all over it, even praising the smell of the leather. If anyone is is denial here, I assure you, it isn't him. Go look in the mirror and find out!
Good thing they are Sold Out. Now you don't have to worry about anyone else wasting their money. Love mine. Leather is very nice and Blue interior with Viking patch are outstanding. Heavy duty zippers, Dyneema pulls etc This and my Samauri are two of the most unusual and interesting GoRuck packs IMO Not the best choice if you have a large laptop. iPad, fits perfectly. Bullet is designed as a compact model anyway. May pick up a GR1 in March.
@@michaelmay1935 they aren't sold out. There was 200 left in stock the morning they pulled them from the website. They've since been sent to other distributors for "special limited time only sales". You sheep just swallow whatever you're fed.
@@JuandelaCruz001 wow so triggered! You think anyone is gonna rock these 90's lazy boys to their backs in the summer? Unless you're riding a Harley (which I assure you no beta Carryology member is), or you're into S&M... this bag is useless. The amount of people who will secretly be returning these is gonna come out eventually.
Black Birkin bag, this is the first good choice I made. I can afford a Kelly bag in any color. If I were 25, I'd probably buy it. But now I consciously don't want to date a woman who has a Kelly and a Birkin. After coming into contact with *luxrul* , I am more willing to invest the money saved in my own growth.
Great review sir! Just got mine in today and I’m loving it! Amazing quality and will age nicely.
Great to hear!

@@PKShiutotally agree. They make and dance about their specs and when something fails they distance themselves from their own products. Really poor

what's your ideal bullet design/materlals?

Looks lovely. Just a tad too expensive for me, especially with shipping and import tax. I wonder if Ctactical might do a leather CT15 in the future.
I just need a full leather CT21
What’s the weight of the bag? Asking because the advertised weight sometimes can have a large difference vs the actual one..
I weighed it at 2.9 pounds

It looks amazing! Can't wait to get mine next week :D
Hope you enjoy it!
GR1 will fix all these with the hopefully classic goruck laptop compartment design and a larger qap with internal MOLLE
that will be good, except I am not for the classic laptop compartment design.
Easily the worst bullet they've done. If you're praising this bag, you're probably in denial that you wasted $550.

I'm inclined to agree. I wasn't even tempted to pack this one out. Immediately printed out the return label.
Dah beli kenapa. Pastu jual... Poodah
