Hey everyone! Thanks for watching my video! It would be amazing if you could ‘like’ this video and ‘subscribe’ to my channel! Also I plan to make a dorm of my friend’s room who lives in another dorm offered at KyungHee!
Hello. I just want to say that this is really helpful for someone who'll study at Kyung Hee University like me. I was searching here about dorm and i really don't like having to share a room with someone (hahahaha). This is really helpful. Mind if I ask how to get that dorm? Like, how to pay and where should i go to avail that dorm? Thank you so much
Thank you! I felt the exact same way as you did before I came here! Since I am a Korean-Adoptee I applied through my Korean Adoption Agency. They sent me the application and which dorm I could choose from. From there the school sent me an invoice with wire transfer information. So I can't tell you how to initially apply to get this dorm or program since I did it through my Korean Adoption Agency. Sorry I wish I had the information for you! My best advice would be to go to the University's website and try to contact (email is best). Good luck!
@@sofialou1809 it's cuz, she lives in an off campus dorm. It's not mainly a dorm but an apartment as she said in the beginning. That's why there's every facilities in one room
Hey!! I’m actually planning to study korean in kyung hee by summer2020! I wanted to know how your application process went. Did the email you the required documents that you needed to send in?
Blasian Babyy hi! Actually through my Adoption Agency (I’m a Korean Adoptee) they applied for the program for me! But the spring 2020 semester I will have too so I can give an update on that for that semester ! As for VISA you just tell them what visa you think you will get for your stay in Korea! Depending on where you’re coming from you usually can apply for the visa you want when you are in Korea, but since I got my visa in the US I’m not familiar with the documents you will need! Sorry for the unhelpful video and thank you for watching and commenting!!
Erin Nakagaki I’m applying from the US, I will most likely have to go to the korean embassy to get my Visa issued to me. And when you say adoption agency are you actually meaning like a foster care? And did they also provide the funds for you as well?
Blasian Babyy when I said “adoption agency”, I mean my actual Korean adoption agency, not foster care. My Korean adoption agency offers a scholarship for adoptees like me who want to come and attend the language program. The scholarship only covers the language program tuition. No living expenses. As for my visa, I don’t remember what actual documents I brought to my visit but I called my consulate and they told me what I should bring!
Hi! I just got admitted to Kyung Hee University Seoul Campus and I was wondering how you got the single room dorm? Do you have to specifically ask for it or some sort of thing? Cause the options i saw were only double beds and none are single 😅.
Hi, did you apply for KHU in the 1st intake? Congratulation👏 I have applied there in second intake so still waiting for the admission. I’m so nervous 😰
When I applied for the Korean Language program that is run by KyungHee they also asked about the dorms/officetels. I'm not sure if it the same for a regular university student or if the protocols had changed due to the pandemic!
Hello I am actually planning to study there at KHU and I wanted to ask you few things. What course do u take and do you know anything about Culinary course and is your dorm within the university campus? Sorry if it is troublesome 😍😊
Ishowari Rai sorry! I am only attending the Korean Language Program not the actual college. But the dorm is about 15 minutes from KyungHee University. I’m not sure if there are other dorms that are inside the campus. Sorry for not be able to answer your questions! And good luck studying!!!

Thank you for sharing this video with us It was really helpful I have some question How much it take to go to university from your dorm ? And for 3 month you pay 2000 dollora ? Is it special time to get back to your dorm at night ? Can you invite your friend for a few hours to your dorm ? Sorry my english not so good And thank you
Thank you for enjoying my video and asking questions! It takes about 10 minutes to get to the main gate of KyungHee University and then varying amounts of time to get to the buildings depending on their location. So for this semester for around 3 months I will pay 2,300,000 Korean Won. Since this is an officetel as long as you live here you can come back whenever (just don't make a lot of noise ;) ). This is different if you actually live in a school dorm. And yes you can invite friends over!
Hello! How are you? How did you get this single room? I want to go to Korean to study the language, but most universities don't let me choose the room type, its assigned randomly.. So were you able to choose the single room? And how much did it cost? Thank you!
I got to choose what building and room style I wanted but it wasn't guaranteed that I would get the room I wanted (thankfully I did)! This officetel is around 2,300,000 Korean won for a little over 3 months (a more precise number is in the comments above I believe!) Thanks for watching!
Erin Nakagaki it’s too expensive compare to single rooms in Seoul🥺 You could got the same room with just around 1.200.000 won for 3 months if you live outside the dorm
Hello I have a few questions. Are you going there full-time? Can you choose what dorm you want if there available? Is there a way to go there without a scholarship?
Hmmm, I wouldn't consider my program "full-time" because it is just a language program. Yes you choose what type of dorm you want based off what is available but it is different with every school! And I'm pretty sure you can but I came to this university through my adoption agency so I'm not 100% sure how you start the normal application process but a quick google search will probably get you some sort of start!
