@@rady123loi also think that if the player is doubling down on resetting the rekka with the starter then you can just 2p or like a 5f mash button provided that you guessed right by blocking the 2nd rekka high or low first. It takes practice but most elphelt usually ends their pressure after the second rekka into an ender instead of keep resetting
An Elphelt did that to me when I was still in Floor 5 I think and I didn't know how to get out of it so that experience alone made me afraid to fight Elphelt ever again.
Its a matter of waiting until she spams it so hard that she starts getting push back because shes literally stepping on your spinal cord, then punish. At least thats how I managed to survive that as ABA of all characters
Personally, I would just play with anything or any char I got the match with to learn the match-up bits by bits. The only time I would just quit is the *actual* unfun person who just never advance in the fight, like the Happy Chaos full screen zoning and do absolutely nothing but shoot. Idk, it just not fun and would the most boring match ever.
backdash the startup of 214S while it is cancelled from a normal. This gives you throw in the corner and lights will trade or beat followups midscreen depending on what they are and the timing of the backdash. There is also a 5f gap if elphelt tries to reset her rekkas with 214S again, faust can 5p it and convert in to MMM, the timing is "frame perfect" but GGST has a 3f input buffer iirc so its a little more lenient than that.
@@rady123lo I mean you ~can~but you’ll probably need to first being able to IB Up High or Down Low, and then again the risk is still pretty high to do so. I myself wouldn’t be confident enough to try that. My personal advice would be to either (1) don’t let her start (2) watch your opponent’s habit on when they will start (typically after 2H or 5H and then backdash or (3) after successfully blocking UpHigh or Down Low, 2P/5P/6P depending on your character if you are reading a reset. An Elphelt player typically will have some habits on Chain Lollipop which they themselves may not even be aware of, so that’s something that you’ll have to try to pick up during the rounds.
If Elphelt resets the rekka you can press any fast button to stop it! The follow-ups you can't mash on but the reset you can. 6P tends to be the most reliable but for characters like ABA you can 2p it very easily.
Also when you IB any of the followups the reset is vulnerable to being thrown. A 6 frame punishable gap means even some of the faster command grabs can work before it comes out. Most notably potemkin buster and Wild Throw can snatch her out of it and *COMPLETELY* reset her gameplan.

If elphelt does that 2h sweep in the beginning to start the rekka then it is 6pable
Noted.

Same, first time I fought Elphelt, she was doing the same move and I was like "HELP WHAT DO I DO"
When I fought elphelt, if they ever did that I would instantly quit out if they won

The best counter to a startup like that is 2S for Faust. That move has really disjointed hit boxes
I think she's throwable during the reset of her rekka. I once violated a floor 7 elphelt with wild throw when she tried this stunt.
Double checked: Yes. On block from other followups, she's minus enough that throws can connect before the airborne frames.
This is not true lol
As an Elphelt sub we would be delighted if you actually believe that.😂
I don't have the character sooooooo... I guess I got trolled lol
