It is the scene in the movie The Ten Commandments where the Hebrews were convinced by a exile Egyptian government official to build a golden calf to worship while Moses was receiving the Ten Commandments on the top of Mount Sinai from God. In other words, instead of listening to the words of God, they decided to create a false religion based on a golden calf. Well, it is like that in China today. So, this is why I found the golden bull being displayed in a high end Chinese office building ironic. Yes, it did remind of the scene in the movie The Ten Commandments where a golden calf was built in order to create the worship of a false religion. Oh, FYI. China's birth rate is actually dropping faster than most capitalist nation due to their policy of one child and later the two child per family. Yes, this is how you all these children of rich families that are spoiled. Interesting, the video mentioned some of these 20 somethings that are rich come from families with money. Also, the emphasis on wealth accumulation had replaced the emphasis on families. FYi, most of China's wealth is concentrated in regions like Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangdong. Things need to be put into perspective. China's economy is still around 60% planned (just like the USSR was),however 40% capitalist influence on a market of 1.4 billion people will always result in massive accumulation of concentrated wealth. Also this documentary implies that central committee members or politburo members (the people who run the country) are capitalists. This simply isn't true. You can't become a central committee member if you are a large business owner and you can't be voted into the politburo without already being in the central committee. Central committee and politburo members earn a typical white collar wage. The state regulates the market so heavily it's difficult to define China as capitalist or socialist. How does free stuff help people?
Don’t tell people what they should do with their lives. If you really want to help others, you can do it yourself.
by buying expensive cars you let car factories including their workers to earn, car services to earn, once the car is crashed and unusable, people who sell car parts to earn. Lot of people can earn. From this. So if there was no such thing, then lot of less job would be there.
Mao would be spinning in his transparent acrylic sarcophagus. If he wasn't so self conscious.
They become rich by selling cheap goods with cheap quality as well. Tsk, sad truth
And you’re the cheap customer that buys them
Tito was far beyond this in Yugoslavia during the '70s.

The narrator should be more energetic, because it is talking about wealth.
There is nothing to be excited about meanwhile the other half population of China is very poor and living in bad situations.
@@cuteduckdontlie4636 the poor chinese is still rich than a normal Indian or person from southeast Asia, poor is relative, just like a poor american citizen can get subsidies more than the months salary of many people in other countries
The Chinese are so head strong on success they miss so much of what life is.
Not money and not success. The art of existing.
Sounds like everybody else on earth. Especially the western world now addicted to watching the success of others on social media

I think yall should change the description, China isn't fully communist anymore. They are more like a mix between democratic and communist though they have not officially defined their system- it's continuously changing
I believe most of these rich ppl are getting out of China now. It's not good for them any more.
All rich Asians get out of Asia and sent there kids overseas who eventually get citizenship or have "bridge marriages" and then invest everything offshore, they can lose everything in a blink of an eye so they have contingency plans. When the kids settle overseas and have kids they can sponsor parents to immigrate, having lots of money in the bank and buying property can get you citizenship too. I worked I a bank and Chinese students had millions in the bank and living of intrest, most students were gritting 5 to 10k a month, the rich just get richer.
Nice to see what the American consumer is financing since all their manufacturing went to China to the tune of 400 billion dollars trade deficit every year year in year out .
It's funny how they brag about how cheap the 15 million dollar plane is.
these men are traumatized, poor wretched youthhood, no material enjoyment , now they are obsessed with making loads and loads of money. No spirit, no temperance, no grip on real life. If they didnt cause so much collateral damage with their self-therapy I would have sympathy for them, but I just have contempt.
Very good points, well stated!
They say what the party wants them to say and follow all their orders and they stay rich. Deviate from that, you disappear.
It's a strange setup they have, but it seems to be working for them.
It is indeed pretty strange, it’s probably too strange for some media to understand and write factual reports
So interesting!
How old is this video? At least 2003
Very dated. At best around 2008-2009, judging by the towers in construction.
Crazy how this narration came with an ever present tinge of cynicism of Chinese wealth...
Good observation. Very interesting
I also noticed it and wonder why that mood
Well the whole title is cynical China claims to be a socialist/communist country, but accumulated all their wealth through capitalism and exploiting their own people as a incredibly large and cheap Labour force.
Old story, new context in cars! 911 isn't so bad to afford even after tax and being way more expensive than the states. But definitely lots of Fu Er Dai and second generation money spent mindlessly.

‚Only Money ... and Sucess count? And Trust? Ok ... Love your Nation ... but for global class ... there is still a Way to go.‘
First thing I noticed 1 minute in, a 911 with a under 4,5 0-100 time isn't that expensive. The most expensive 911's do it in half that time which are 200k. Don't need to be a multi-millionaire to enter.
Why is the video quality like something from the 2000s???
