You have taught me so many things just watching you both. I want to share..... my Aunt taught me how to bone pan fish after it's cooked. Remove the dorsal fin. Just pull it backwards. Then the other fins. Use your fork of knife to devide the fish along one side of the back bone. Just lay one whole side of the fish down on your plate. Now lift the back bone with the ribs attached off the other side of the fish. All the bones should be removed in one piece. Enjoy!! 😃my Aunt grew up fishing the back waters of the Mississippi in Minnesota. My Mom and her sister caught and ate a lot of fish. Bless you both!
Love that Bear shirt! This vlog is so packed with beautiful scenery. I loved the canoe sunset shot! Your lake reminds me of our lake with the islands in it. It was fun watching you do some peaceful fishing. This was real nice.
What a great video!! Thanks so much!! We always love the content and Cody we love your filming and editing. You do a really great job. We love to watch Kellie cook and if we get bored with other TH-cam content, we always just re-watch one of you vlogs. Thanks!! Don't ever stop. Also, you've changed how we are going to enjoy the Missouri Ozarks, we are going to start doing your setup instead of staying in a cheap motel with a kitchenette. You've shown US how comfortable and fun dispersed camping can be. THANK YOU!!!!
LOVED IT VERY ENVIOUS ! BREATHTAKING BEAUTY VIEWS COLORS SCENERY VIDEO WEATHER LANDSCAPE & DRONE FOOTAGE AMAZING ! GORGEOUS CAMPSITE & AREA . BETTER THAN GOING TO A SPA ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ALWAYS ON 🙏 YOUR JOURNEYS ! THANK YOU 🙏 ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨
That was a really relaxing spot you were able to snag. I love your videos. I love camping and kayaking but, don’t get to do it as often as I would like. Going along through your videos gives me a sense of being there through your lense. Thanks again.
Really beautiful spot. Cody, why don’t you try filleting the brim. I used to do it all the time. Buy a sharp fillet knife and watch a couple videos on how to do it and there’s no bones no mess ,no scales to scrape . good luck
I loved this video! We hope y’all do more kayak camping videos in the future. It’s what brought us to this channel in the first place so it makes us so happy to see more. I also really wish we had more national forests here in TX.
Cody, When you called Kellie your "angel princess" (when you were eating the fish) the closed captioning on my tv said, "angel pink cheese". Haha! Made me lol!😂 Great video as always! Y'all inspired us to visit Lake Ouachita a few weeks ago. Blessings to you and your angel pink cheese!
We had some friends when I was young that had cabin cruisers. We would Beach up on a island and cook and swim there. Such happy memories and loved the Buffalo River trip where we camped also ! Really enjoy your videos.
I’m right up the road in southern Missouri. 😊 I’m just getting started with kayaking, I’m enjoying watching your cinematic shots of the beauty of Arkansas! I’ll definitely have to come down to Lake Ouachita this summer.
Buckville has a very interesting history! My wifes family ( her grandparents lived there before the lake was built). The church and cemetery were relocated so that they wouldn't be covered by the lake. I have mentioned it before, Hickory Nut Mountain Vista on the South side of the Lake, just off of Hwy 270 is one the best views in the whole state. There is a primitive camp area there too. If you haven't been there.......you are missing something. I would love to see your video production from that area! We will be camping at Lake Ouachita next week after Memorial Day!!! Love that place.
You have come a long way babe !!!! That was so funny.....the kayak full of stuff.....and I can only laugh with you because I have been there and one (not quite that), but similar :)
Another great live vlog. Wanted to let you know our first one night tent camping trip was a success. We have a 3 day tent camp next weekend in Shelbyville Illinois. We are looking forward. You two have taught us so much. Thank you.
Great video. Idea: Consider carrying a small bag of Pork Skins to crush up into crumbs for breading your fish. This will go really good with the coconut oil you are frying with and will weigh next to nothing. Keep the videos coming. Thank you for sharing your video with us. Be Safe.
Hey Guys 👋🏼 This video was awesome 🤩. The other video was great 😊. Have you ever thought of a hauler for for kayaks because it really looks good when you have everything you need for camping 🏕. Maybe you guys can get an inflatable boat for equipment and food so your food won’t squashed. You guys can use a bed trays with legs for preparing your food. Kelly needs her little kitchen station for this kind of campaign. Come on hubby hook it up *Happy Camping * 🏕😊🙏🏼😎 Thank You again for your videos. I get to enjoy watching videos that I liked to do but can’t due to medical reasons so Thank You 🙏🏼
I have been wanting to kayak camp on that lake for sometime now. We live in NW Missouri but spend a lot of time in south Missouri caving, kayaking and camping.
I moved to central Arkansas about 4 years ago and have loved it so much. Been camping and kayaking all over. One place I haven’t seen yall go to is the delta area. I go in a fishing trip with my FIL family twice a year to the St. Francis National Forest. We tent by beer creek lake. There’s MTB and all too, seems like an underrated area in the state for outdoors but it’s honestly great. Check out the area if want something new.
You guys need a Solo Stove...NO SMOKE and it really works. There's a real little one for kayak camping, we have the mid size...love it, but you'd probably have to drag a little puddle boat behind you.
New to the vlog. Loving it as I have gone through and watched almost all of your videos. I look forward to Thursdays when the new videos drop. Wife and I just recently started camping and we are going on our second camping adventure this next week. Thanks for all the great information and ideas. Wife's family is from Arkansas and I get down there about once a year to Helena, AR for King Biscuit Blues Festival. Thank you for sharing your camping and looking forward to watching other adventures.
We kayaked down the Ouachita River in the spring (very cold) 4 years ago. It was so beautiful! We fell in love with the area, especially after visiting Poca and Jasper and seeing the Buffalo River. We actually came back at the end of May that year and kayaked down the Buffalo. I decided then, I could retire there lol (from East Tennessee) I’m currently looking for a place to spend a few days for our anniversary on July 1. Do you think this area where you camped would be crowded at that time? We really like secluded areas and try to avoid those big crowds. The site you had was absolutely dreamy 😍
I don't know if you'd want to, but would you all ever consider doing a video discussing the pros of tent camping vs any other way? I'm trying to convince my wife to sell the pop up and get a tent so we can go further easier. Thanks, and great content as usual!
Looks like a blast, as usual. Best we can do is tent camp at Dam Site in Heber this weekend, lol. Do y'all ever come up to the Sylamore area by Mtn. View?
What part of the lake you were on? Are you able to camp on any island or need reservations? It looks like the state park does guided trips in spring/fall with limited availability.
Wow! How do I find this place! This is Armand I met you at Bayou Segnette in New Orleans. I just bought a van to travel with and gave the Civic to my son and I'm headed to Arkansas! Great work I love your podcasts.
Now that's awesome lake!!! I didn't know it existed. Until I watched someone kayak fishing few weeks ago. Awesome catches fishing off your kayak!!! Wow you two bring lot's of stuff to go kayak camping, even your clip from old videos, wow, I never seen anyone bring second kayak to be a pack mule 😅 awesome!!! I do got one question, since you are on rock core. You have to have a permanent to dig, well my question you need leave behind your waste 💩, are you still can dig hole for the 💩, or you have to leave it on top soil
I’m kayak camping at lake ouchita this week. What boat ramp/ recreation area do y’all put in at to get to the island y’all stay on ? Is buckville recreation area a good ramp?
So you get all the little bones out by bending the head back, and lifting it at a 90 degree angle, off the bottom half of the fish, gently. Then put it down on the other side, and lift the head spine and all the bones off the other side by lifting the head back 90 degrees and gentle bending the spine and bones off the other side, using a fork to ease the flesh off helps. Just go slow and gentle, and you get a boneless fillet.
do you ever drop a pin for the location of some of these camp sites? i'm in Dallas. my folks are from Onyx and Mt. Ida! so I love the area but haven't camped there in years.
best way to camp is leave only footprints and take only photos Really no one should be taking handfuls of rocks or anything . leave the wild places alone is the best way to honour and respect it and of course always take out what you took in and if others have left rubbish around grab some of that too
My new favorite camping 🏕 channel
I am 70 and I enjoy the heck out of you two. Stay safe 🙏
Thanks guys. Always a pleasure. Have a blessed week🥰

So grateful for your videos!
What a Beautiful place! Looks so inviting💯🌲☕❤️
It really is!
Beautiful location. Nice job, made me feel like I was camping too! First time seeing your channel
Liked the video from your first kayak camping trip. I thought I saw the outline of an oven in the Freighter kayak. lol
That was a really relaxing spot you were able to snag. I love your videos. I love camping and kayaking but, don’t get to do it as often as I would like. Going along through your videos gives me a sense of being there through your lense. Thanks again.
Great vlog, each one gets better! Please do more fishing in the future, it was great to see you taking advantage of it!
Don't think I'd ever leave the hammock in that location. Looks unbelievably relaxing there, perfect weather too. Not jealous at all! Lol
What a calm scenic area to have to yourself. Nice video again!
Beautiful shot of the sunset!
I love it when I remember i have cool stuff!
What a great spot! Thanks for sharing.
Well, you just need an umbrella drink and you'll be set! Beautiful spot you found!
Awwsome video! Definitely my new favorite from you guys! Now I think you need a "Uptown High Rent" sticker lol
Man the waves crashing the shade trees , I'd sleep like a babie in those hammocks, so jealous
That was an awesome video. Great camp spot. I loved it. Thank you for bringing me along.

I would never want to go home! Beautiful!!!
You guys make such a professional and awesome videos! Thank you for showing us the beauty of all the places y’all go.
I love Blue Gill like you did yours. But my Angel Princess doesn't eat them. Looks like it was a great time camping.
Looks so fun! Can't wait to get my kayak out on the lake this summer.
Y'all convinced me into camping at Ouachita Lake the next time I get down that way. As you said it's a paradise that needs to be cherished.
I loved this video! We hope y’all do more kayak camping videos in the future. It’s what brought us to this channel in the first place so it makes us so happy to see more. I also really wish we had more national forests here in TX.
I hope we can do more as well. Mostly rivers. It’s hard to find someone to shuttle with

We are planning on camping Quachita in October, but will be in one of the campgrounds. Loved today's vid.

Thanks for allowing me to relax with you guys while beach camping although the sand granules were a little large between the toes. 😀 Great video!
Such a beautiful spot! And some great food tips we might take advantage of on our next trip 😉
I am wondering if you guys are still camping? I enjoy Lake Ouachita. We were there today, and it's an amazing place. Thanks for your great videos.
You guys need a Solo Stove...NO SMOKE and it really works. There's a real little one for kayak camping, we have the mid size...love it, but you'd probably have to drag a little puddle boat behind you.
I really loved this adventure. Something a little more unique
I have camped right there!
Cody, we'd like to see you cook more for Kelly! :D :D :D

July might be too hot to camp on Lake Ouachita. Something with higher altitude could work.
@@CodyandKellie yeah, I was thinking about that too. I cannot sleep when it’s hot! Thanks for the response! We really enjoy your videos!!❤️
Man i have to get out there!
I don't know if you'd want to, but would you all ever consider doing a video discussing the pros of tent camping vs any other way? I'm trying to convince my wife to sell the pop up and get a tent so we can go further easier. Thanks, and great content as usual!
Sure. We have never camped any other way
Looks like a blast, as usual. Best we can do is tent camp at Dam Site in Heber this weekend, lol.
Do y'all ever come up to the Sylamore area by Mtn. View?
Yes we have been there quite often
Next time you’re in Texas go to H-E-B and try their chicken salad… they use their rotisserie chicken to make it so good
What part of the lake you were on? Are you able to camp on any island or need reservations? It looks like the state park does guided trips in spring/fall with limited availability.
Yum food! I love Trader Joe's food!
Do more kayak camping videos. That's what brought my fiance and I to the channel
We hope to do some rivers soon
We did recently a camping trip to a nature reserve in Poland 😀. Amazing
Wow! How do I find this place! This is Armand I met you at Bayou Segnette in New Orleans. I just bought a van to travel with and gave the Civic to my son and I'm headed to Arkansas! Great work I love your podcasts.

It’s a peninsula so up farther in the woods there is soil to dig a hole.
@@CodyandKellie awesome, thank you for letting me know, I appreciate it!!!
We leave on the 9th!
I enjoyed your video.
I’m new to this camping stuff, how do you find these type of places.
Google maps and on x off road
I’m kayak camping at lake ouchita this week. What boat ramp/ recreation area do y’all put in at to get to the island y’all stay on ? Is buckville recreation area a good ramp?
Yes
great video. Can you tell what the weather is like there in April? Thanks
Perfect!
@@CodyandKellie thank you! love your vids
Anything from Trader Joe’s is good. my main grocery store I shop with. Lol
Where do you park to go kayak camping?

I love it when he calls her angle princess 👑

Don't feel bad Kelly. I took someone camping who asked me, where can I plug in my blow dryer?
Where is the best place on the lake to launch kayaks?
Where did you find the oil packets?
Trader Joe’s

We just tried to order and they are out of stock. 😕 soon though
When can I buy a cookbook
There in production now but we will make a post on all social media accounts when it’s available

What type of income do you have to be able to do a permanent camping lyfstyle? Our dream...
TH-cam is our income
I soooo want to island camp. I thought about doing a naked and afraid while dressed. You wouldn't want to see this, bare in the woods. ; - D
On cooking fish; cut off heads, tails and fins… then into your pressure cooker maybe 10 minutes.. then you can eat bones and all… 👍
Do the dried bananas come from Trader Joe’s?
Yes
Yall need a couple " River King " stickers for your Kayaks, river kings a youtube channel.
