An underquilt for your hammock is definitely a gamechanger. Makes all the difference!

As others have suggested, an under quilt for your hammock would help. You could even use a foam sleeping pad. The down underneath you gets compressed in your sleeping bag, so it offers little to no insulation from below. I use a bridge hammock, but with a gathered end hammock like you have, you typically want to sleep at an angle so your body isn't like a banana. You want your head to one side of the strap point and your body going diagonally across the center line so your feet are on the opposite side on the foot end. You will lie much flatter that way.
Another gear suggestion for a trip like this: Sawyer Squeeze water filter and CNOC water collection bag. That way, you would have an endless supply of potable water without having to duct tape your pot lid down and/or worry about it slopping water out while you paddle to your destination. The squeeze type filters weigh only a few grams and don't take up much room, but they offer safety and convenience. I bring one in my daypack when I'm out for day hikes with my wife because if we got stuck somewhere unexpectedly, we would at least be able to keep ourselves hydrated and avoid beaver fever.

Nice video man i do enjoy your content. I from Lyon, France and would like to go into Texas or even idaho and Utah for hiking trip. And to see the yellowstone lake i think its called like this.
That being said i love your kayak and currently looking for one but pelicans are a bit expensive too me yet.
I was so surprised to recognize your cheap paddle as i have it from the challenger k1 one pack. Its a decent paddle to start but passing 4 hours it tends to bend easily ... I personnaly got a new one from decathlon for 30 euros and it did the job far well than this starting pack one.
I presume you dont have numerous decathlon back there but you have a firm called Cresco if i remember

Are you ever concerned about Fish & Game asking to see a fishing license?

not really, most of the areas I was at were pretty remote and I made sure to buy day licenses for most of the states.
