ok that's stupid...not even a discussion?? led zeppelin, aerosmith, acdc, black sabbath, nirvana...ring any bells? shove that opinion of yours you know where...
Daniel Cockricket obviously those are some of the biggest bands to perform but you can’t deny that Metallica is one of the greatest if not the greatest ever
We sat in section 239 and the heat was real, my twin Boys loved their first Metallica show and were wowed by the heat those towers of flame set off - an awesome and incredible show 🎸
It's so funny with Metallica like the glue of the band is really Lars and James but i couldn't imagine the band without rob or Kirk or even Jason and cliff or even Dave Mustaine they all where there to form and shape the entity of a band that's called Metallica and every piece of personal influence fits like a glove and we know Lars and James themselves can't do it, because then we get st anger all over again, they're all driven from a collaborative action during their creativity and that is what makes many of their songs so good. It's alot like that with many bands often it's better in a band and very few people from bands have better solo careers.
Metallica fan since 1984, heard Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) on a Walkman, blown away. Saw them in '89 @ the Providence Civic Center, met Lars and Jason. Then with GnR at Foxboro Stadium and my wife took me to TD Garden in 2008. Couldn't go to see them this time, wanted to take the whole family.
James... is... THE MAN! Truly love and respect how much he cares about Metallica fans and treats them like human beings. He is humble yet clearly the fire is still burning strong. Keep kicking ass man... you've been an inspiration since I was 3 years old.
1:17 - speaking of pyrotechnics, I was in section 136 (almost across the stadium from the stage) and could feel heat from every blast. Imagine the fuckin' people in general admission. Wow! It was a fantastic show, as usual. The new stuff sounded great live and mixed well with the oldies. Can't wait til they come back around.
this is an amazing tour. Saw it in Toronto and I was blown away how much energy and spectacle it had for the audience. this was more and experience than just a show.
I'm a Patriots fan and as soon I saw Tom Brady on the title, I knew James was going to pull a Deflategate joke. It was well played and the jabs they pulled were pretty funny.
I'm glad James went through recovery, but these interviews kinda bore me now. But on the other hand Johnny Rotten is still fun to listen to if he is sober.
James isn't the kind of dude to really OPEN up or get choked up about death. He copes with laughter, it's a mechanism people use. Everyone deals with death in their own way, and also I seriously DOUBT James ever met Chris Cornell. Lars, nor Kirk mentioned anything of him either. That wasn't their scene. They tried to be like those bands with Load and Reload, but it just didn't work. And back then Soundgarden, Pearl Jam etc, probably wanted nothing to do with them. James use to just either get quiet, or drunk to deal with things. Even Cliffs death, he doesn't say much. Or get into detail, ever. Nor his Mom or Dad who both died of cancer. He mentions it, then boom he moves on..new subject. Reflecting on death is fine, reflecting on how someone lived, is totally different. And he doesn't know anything about Chris's life I assure you.
Soundgarden did tour with Metallica a couple of times, though - there's a book called "Soundgarden: New Metal Crown" that talks about it a little bit (it was published in 1995, so obviously before Load and Reload). Also there's an interview with Kirk from last fall where he talks about Louder Than Love being one of his favorite albums, how it actually inspired Enter Sandman. And I think Lars was at Chris' funeral, if I remember correctly.
OK, you clearly didn't get my comment at all, so let's try again. The band admitted multiple times that after recording albums they usually have to "learn" the new songs to be able to play them live. As you may have noticed, they have gone for a couple so far - Hardwired, Atlas, Dead, Moth. They have also tried tracks like Halo, Confusion and Dream. There is limited time in the setlist, as they also have to fit many other tracks that are, let's say, "required". Spit Out the Bone is not only 7 minutes long, but also the most technically demanding song off the new record. A lot of starts and stops, irregular counts, very energetic, high pitched and aggressive singing, fast drumming. So in order for them to rehearse it and also just be able to play it well, given their age, it's no secret that they want to take their time. Now, it has been said by the band that they might be planning to play this song live this summer. First rehearsal footage of this song surfaced recently and guess what, they barely now how the song goes. So who knows - I wouldn't be surprised if they don't play it at all, just like they stayed away from Dyer's Eve for many years. But if they do, great. Did you get it this time? Or are you just going to call me names and be a fucking dick about it?
I love Metallica, loves James Hetfield, but I hate over the top stage shows. I’ve seen Metallica without the whole pyrotechnics, lights, or any of the go huge stage settings. And the simple plain stage shows are the shows that captures the best of a live Metallica show.
Violet Raven .. maybe for a song name then..but i was I’m kidding, we’re named SPK... ugh SOME PEOPLES KIDS. Non links or demos or videos, just a beginner garage band. Later skater. 🤘✌️

That shit annoys the hell out of me...you have royalty sitting beside and your on your effing phone. Even if it was someone telling you to rap it up after the first time it should of never been looked at again. You could see the look on his face the second time see picked it up like he was uncomfortable.
TheOriginalPholly agreed. That's what they've been closing with now. However, I still had the time of my life when I saw them last week in San Antonio!
Overplayed? Maybe. Overrated? Fuck, no. Enter Sandman is a beast of a song. That's why it has crossed so many genres of music fans. If you you break it down, the song is heavy and menacing as hell.
why does she assume that James cares about an old alternative rocker that he had nothing to do with. probably didnt even like soundgarden. they had one good album , then went corporate with superunknown and blew dog ever since. im sure james doesnt give two shits about cornell
How do people still hate this guy? He's been top of the world then bottom of the barrel and back up again today strong as ever, clean & sober. GOAT
No question about it
Some people just like to tear others down.
I wouldn't go that far,but he's a cool dude.
Do you be sick
Because it's trendy to hate on Metallica.
Her: Im afraid we might all go up in flames tonight!
James: yeah you tell me
God bless James Hetfield, I've always felt like he was such a good guy deep down and in the past years he has been showing it. Enjoy your success.
Matthew Sengul my thoughts exactly
Greatest band ever. Greatest frontman ever. Not even a discussion.

Zyx I know what you were going for but didn't see the humor in that
Metlhed420 I'm a 16 year old kid, I was in GA at Foxborough. The flames made me instantly sweat...I still have trouble hearing...
James is such a good genuine guy.
I've fought the demons forever but drinking makes it tenfold worse God bless you James for giving up the grog

I was in the top of the stadium and I could immediately feel the heat from the flames
Grew up listing to AAF, always wondered what Carrie looked like. Now, 100 years later I know. Can’t believe she’s still there.
A cool, humble, down to earth dude.
Coolest guy !!
So wise to the music. The feel. He is METALLICA
"The ball seems a little squishy"....LOOOOLLLL!!!! Nice jab.... I am NOT a Patriots fan

Look how the interviewer pay close attention to James words.. she is definitely a fan, probably has a crush on him for the way she looked at him
Who wouldn’t have a crush on him?
"Because we're Metallica!"
The greatest frontman of all time and the greatest quarterback of all time are from Cali and share a bday. Coincidence? I think not!
I was at that show!
Freddie mercury, lemmy and james hetfield was a legend..
cya in vancouver august 14 James!!!
Listen to the Chris question, listen to the answer.
After the World Wired Tour is over. The next tour since it won't be associated with the new album. I want to see Enter Sandman be the first song!
James is like.. Fuck you I don't do rapid fire questions.

I'm jealous you guys have an actual rock station. Atlanta radio sucks!
We used to. WAAF went off the air in early 2020. 😥 The last song they played was Black Sabbath.
James says "supercool" more these days than an automated nuclear reactor. Lol love it
Hi James 👋

Québec Rock City Support Metallica
Interesting for me .
Boston rocks
Dude doesn't age. people used to say I looked like James Hetfield, and they were right. Now I look like James Hetfields dad!
Tbh, I don't think James was fond of Chris, but Kirk liked him. They could have chose any song to do when Chris died and oddly chose the unforgiven.
What shirt is he wearing?
Mark Dude if you ever find out please come back to this comment lol
I'm glad James went through recovery, but these interviews kinda bore me now. But on the other hand Johnny Rotten is still fun to listen to if he is sober.
Johnny Rotten is hilarious whether he's drunk or sober
wtf is up with the video? everytime they move their body parts become pixels
They are sitting next to each other but have to face the front for the mics its just weird.
Have you seen Good Mythical Morning , it seems to work for them pretty well
Why would you not have 40 foot flames
Because you playing with Axl Rose

Um...they toured together for Lollapalooza 95 I think it was.
The woman interviewer pulls out her phone to star texting someone at 7:50. So annoying.
Enter Sandman "Belongs to everyone" ? Haha ... Napster!
Fuxken Napster.
i want to hear someone ask him why they don't play Spit Out the Bone. It's a mystery
big bamboo they are planning on playing it over the summer a video of them rehearsing it was just released
Mystery? It's by far the most demanding song from the last album, and they are all well over 50. If it's a mystery, you know nothing about this band.
you make no sense you dumb ass. if your are saying they can't play it cause they are over 50 then you know nothing about this band. stupid fuck
