This was SO compelling! I was on the edge of my seat when Edward found the both of them gone, and it REALLY got eerie at Brendam when Edward began to hear that slow, unnatural creaking, only to find that _Gordon_ was making it... And things got REALLY creepy when he got to the quarry, and witnessed the true unexplainable madness that unfolded. Edward's courage and need to explore is admirable in this; I love the line "I know what I saw... I don't know what I _witnessed_ ." He's confident in what he saw, but he knows that the truth might be beyond his senses and more complicated than he knows. That's so Edward; humble enough to consider all the options, but intelligent enough to have some good theories. I loved the dream sequence too, that really did feel like an eerie dream that feels a little _too_ meaningful, very immersive! I'm wondering what role Lady plays, and if she's malevolent in this... I'd really love to see more!

I’m noticing that characters who’s paintwork becomes dirty are the ones to either get taken or affected by Lady. It may be coincidence, but it seems to be mostly consistent across all Forest Horrors episodes.

Bro when I saw Edward got the buffers after chasing Oliver I immediately was like “Ok Gordon and Oliver went into the magic railroad”
Two things I noticed:
1) Gordon's eyes were white at the end but Oliver still had pupils
2) Oliver wasn't steaming at the end but Gordon was
This likely means he wasn't yet affected by whatever happened to Gordon, which only raises the question of why he ran away from Edward in the forest
Gordon had pupils at the lead mine it's just harder to see them
it could also be the reason why later on in the Ffarquhar Siren, We only see Gordon and Toads remainds left

Watching this again just makes the writer in me giggle with joy. I love all the little reveals of your "specter", especially when Gordon FIRST rolls up and finds her shed, and she's THERE...listening to her next prey. This was all so brilliant, and I can't wait to see how you've re-wrote her story. (To anyone who might have missed it and any other "reveal", here's my points of reference; 6:10, 14:05, 20:44 though I think that one is intentional, look hard and you'll spot her...) I'm such a fan of little details in horror, and you did it perfectly. Can't wait for part 3 of this adventure!

@@bobbypierson5376 Look behind the tanker, to me I see an engine outline. Although from looking at previous clips of the same spot, it could just be how the building and trucks lined up but I swear I caught a glimpse of Lady's left cab window.

I know it's been a year, but to spill the beans for you, we come to find out this version of Lady was once a daughter to a mine company owner who bought an engine that the daughter got attached to. She also would work with some cults until she died with her favorite engine in a mining accident. After which, her father would close the mine and relocate to America. It appears that Lady lived from that accident and would turn capured engines into zombies to use to maintain herself and capure other engines. I just kinda like a twisted form of 'liberating them'.

Well, Missing 411 is about people going missing in national parks (I think it was mainly Yellowstone) so it makes sense for Hank of all engines to know about it.
@@nottelling8129 Yeah, I would imagine Hank knowing about that when he was still in America. I just hope he stays and is not sent back to America, I feel like he would most likely be scrapped or not be used as much given how diesels are used more in America.

I watch a lot of "Sodor horror", but this was one of the rarities that made me actually spooked. The apt choice of music, the fact that you never see what exactly happened to Gordon and Oliver in that shed which brings a sense of mystery, and the (i hope intentionally done!) eerily creepy smiles of the 2 engines at 20:56 which you harnessed to add to the horror aspect, all blend for a truly spooky experience.
Also, I love the editing, as in camera angle, background etc. It is incredibly reminiscent of the original Thomas series. You sir have really done your research.
I was recommended this, and as someone who is both a Thomas fan and into mysteries and has seen several videos on the missing 411, I had to click on this to see what it was about. I enjoyed it, and from reading the comments, it seems that this is part of a series. I shall have to check out the rest of it!
So far there is one previous video that is directly related which is “Henry’s Forest” another which is indirectly is “the untold story of operation high jump” which is more of a alternate history video I made, but I wanted to make my series more than just ttte reliant .

Perhaps there could be a sequel with Glynn at the forefront since he was number one many decades prior to Thomas’s arrival..

loved this very much, one of the best ttte horror shorts I`ve seen in a while, would be absolutely thrilled to see more, honestly it surprised me you didnt use henry in place of gordon or oliver (i DID like the scrap touch at the mine scene) as he loves the woods and i feel would be more inclined to blow off any warnings of his favorite place, only to pay what looks to be the ultimate price as gordon and oliver have, also, it gets me thinking about thomas`s little adventure at the lead mine, had he been left over night as a "punishment", he very well could have been waiting for gordon and oliver upon their arrival, also thinking along the 411 lines, a part 2 that showed them being found eventually, in a ragged state or no longer functional, or even just a pile of enough parts to be unmistakably identified as the 2, for example maybe one is at the top of the geared train line up the mountain and the other maybe at kirk ronan or something?, spurring even more questions, it would be pretty awesome if done right and it seems to me like you`d be able to pull it off rather nicely as well as this came out
update: I`ve now seen the pre cursor video to this and now know why you didnt use henry, though i feel if mentioned, it would definitely be something he would think of as a possible link to what edward would recall happening, in turn reminding and shocking edward of the revelation involving the same erie light from both events. i say this as despite henry forgetting about it over time, it was still something that threatened his views on literally his favorite place to be and work, not something i feel that can be truly forgotten very easily
This is so well written, like, it starts normal, but then take a very turn... I loved it! I'm commenting here just to boost the algorithm really

Interesting story you’ve concocted here. There are a few things that could be improved on for a sequel, some of the dialogue repeats the same specific words, I thought the opening was a bit too long, in a few scenes the viewer can’t see clearly enough (although I’d understand if this was intentional), and although this is often the limitations of mics, some of the VAs needed to be louder.
I like the editing and directing here. Nice long shots and then poignant close ups. The writing has a way of conveying the story without the narrator but in a fashion that doesn’t cause any of the moments of silence to drag on.
Thank you, I am trying to make my stories less narrator reliant.
We need part 2 and hopefully we could see how far the story goes, this was a very very good story

I’ve seen many horror stories, especially from this fandom, but I mean it when I say this had me scared out of my wits. I already find the idea of going missing to be a terrifying one, but you’re execution with the lighting, tone and pacing (not to mention the creaking noises) had me shaking and squinting at the screen. Well done!

Thank you so much! I will try and keep that vibe going. I like making my stories different by not giving explanations, only theories and misdirection leaving the viewer to figure it out themselves.
@@daylight39 I would suggest that it works best when there is an explanation, even if it is vague. Too many questions with no answers can risk ending up being more frustrating than interesting, even for a horror story.

😨 this was genuinely soooo good! I'm probably now a genuine critique when it comes to horror/scary fan made thomas stuff, and this is one of those stories that creates that ever-present season 3 "Ghost Train" aesthetic we so desperately love. That sense of dread as well as genuinely creepy atmosphere is on full throttle in this one! It also managed to make me laugh hysterically in one of the most tense moments, when Edward actually sees them disappear like ghosts into the abandoned mine and is like "dear heavenly father, help us escape this area untouched" or something like that, I DIED LAUGHING LMAOOO. I mean, who can blame him?? I would be doing the same exact thing 🤣
Anyways, hoping there's a sequel to this in the near future!
My god that was amazing, the mystery behind it was incredible, I hope there ok tho and did anyone notice that when Oliver came out the ground, he had what I think said “ scrap “ on the side of his tank, may have been the lighting but I think it said that, not sure.

I do hope if there is a part 3 that Thomas gets a big role, not only because Henry’s Forest stared Henry whose ‘number 3’, this story starred Edward whose ‘number 2’, I’d figure that means the next lead would be Thomas ‘number 1’, but also because Thomas is the only engine on Sodor who could recognize Lady.
Next one won’t be Thomas, but I will keep your idea in mind

Daylight, I watched this when there was no daylight, I’m very unsettled and in need for more, this was absolutely grand and incredible, if you make a sequel to the sequel also grand, but take your time and thank you for the wonderful content
I am surprised that only Edward and His Crew only heard it the cracking sound coming from Gordan while Philip was still sleeping like You'd think both engines would've been awake by the sound

Yep. That probably showed how gordon fell off the bridge along with Toad. Gordon and toad were possessed by lady but not oliver. I'm thinking oliver was sparing for his life to not die, so lady was telling him what to do and obey her every command and kidnapping every engine he knew and loved. Basically, gordon, toad, toby (possibly donald too) remains body for were found because they don't want to be part of lady evil commands. Only oliver, percy, and Duck still have their original active body living.
damn this scarred the shit out of me…and im not easily scarred from watchin thomas vids…i want to hope for a good outcome with oliver and gordon are safe but…i dont think that is where any sequel is going unless lady is involved. i liked the showing of buffers behind the boulder as if oliver disappeared through them after edward gave chase. reminds me of the magic railroad.
The thunder claps sound very realistic 👍👍 Watching this while a thunderstorm was passing overhead and had to replay some parts to be sure where the audio was coming from 😂

I figured out it was evil version of Lady... dark purple tank engine is linda Reason Corrupted by dark magic and stuff and turning good engines into bad ones, supernatural Entity, or worse dead ones, or something... because she gets bored or she want to have fun or something and the other one is Lady who is purple like normal shade of purple and she doesn't got corrupt by dark magic she follows the light and use it for good but... also use gold dust as well... then there's other Lady one in red or at any color because she doesn't know or have learned any magic yet but she brings everyone's spirits up and ect.
I think it may have to do with Henry's Forest. I think in this alt-world, Lady was the train that ran into the explosive ammunition train, killing hundreds. Either fuelled by guilt or enraged for the original engine that was supposed to take it. Her spirit became angry, and restless...in a way turning her into a zombie engine that was tasked with hunting "useful" engines and turning them into "unuseful" engines. After Henry left Bowler to his fate, Lady telported Henry back, making him think it was a 'dream'. After all, Henry had no crew and likely brushed it off, thinking it's just a dream. There's no need to turn him yet.
After words, Lady went dormant for a bit before the Missing 411.
The thing I don't get is: WHY the heck would Lady do all this??? She's never harbored any ill-mannered feelings towards the engines for as long as I've been a Thomas fan.🤔
I figure it's an alternative timeline in which Lady, is evil, or had alternative motivates then depicted during the 'Thomas and Magical railroad'.

(Spoiler warning for those who haven't watched this or Henrey's forest yet)
I think Edward is still alive because Thomas doesn't say anything about Edward going missing too.
How ever something definitely got Gordon and Oliver and I think it was the same thing that got D261 (the class 40) in Henrey's forest the light in both stories was the same color red with a yellow tint in the center.
Plus in Henrey's forest Henrey saw three lorrys go past while he was hidding in the brush and in this story we (the viewers) see three lorrys follow a car away from the old mine an unknown amount time after what Edward and his crew saw that night.
Yes I know that at the end of Henrey's forest the narrator says "the light never returned to Sodor" but that could simply be Daylight 3 not have any plans to continue doing anything else with the light untill now.
It actually makes sense but I agree with you at the end of Henry’s forest (The Narrator says the light never appeared again) well along of those lines

After rewatching the series so far again (As of January 17th, 2024), it's interesting to see this one as a sort of beginning. I don't know if Henry's Forest is part of the same story told in this and future ones with lady and the other engines, as some branch off into other supernatural. However, I was watching another TH-cam video talking about the Donner Party, and he mentioned "The Missing 411". I wondered, and finally looked it up, as I thought it was just the two engine's numbers combined to make up the tittle. However, "The Missing 411" is an actual thing about disappearances of kids in parks and forests. Maybe that has something to do here? I haven't looked more into the IRL Missing 411, but it seems interesting how it correlates here.
I dont quite get it. Why exactly do gordon and oliver just vanish and how did edward ride a line without rails? And whats with the lorrys.? So many questions

@@abdrahmanhakim5252Zoom in at 2.8x or more on your youtube screen video and zoom in on the top middle train tracks lines. You will see a like a long black creature shadow going up the tracks leaving the mines. It's basically Oliver leaving the mines
