      Or a laser printer

    • @melodymedlock160
      @melodymedlock160 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@barbb6596I agree but most of the things she says won’t work with an ink jet printer does work if you take the right steps. I’ve never tried it with reversed graphics but I don’t do those anyway. I’m not going to rub off paper when I can get the same look without the extra work. Instead of doing this you can buy clear labels from a home office store and use an ink jet printer to print them out. If you’re careful not to smudge it and let it dry then it won’t have an issue.

    Hi Deidre, I just tried the transfer technique for the first time and oh my goodness, it works! I was a little skeptical it really would but am super impressed with it. Thank you for sharing! Instead of the clear shelf liner, I had some full-sheet 8 1/2 x 11 clear labels on hand and so I used the backing to print on and then the clear label to transfer. Worked like a charm!

  • @melodymedlock160
    @melodymedlock160 ปีที่แล้ว

    Please don’t waste the labels to use the backing ladies and gents. That is wasteful. Just buy clear sticker labels from your home office store. Then you can make clear labels and have the backer if you would rather try this. To buy a product just to waste the actual label sounds ridiculous to me. I love this channel but don’t a lot of us thrift and look for curbside finds to help reduce waste in the landfills? I mean other than making fabulous pieces, right?

    • @OurUpcycledLife
      @OurUpcycledLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use all of the stickers that I peel off for tags or labels and use them up in my junk journalling so nothing too much ever goes to waste. Thanks for watching.

    • @melodymedlock160
      @melodymedlock160 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OurUpcycledLife That’s good. I wish you would’ve said that in the video because the way it presented was that you didn’t use them. I would also suggest telling people that they can skip these steps and just use the clear labels from an office store. I know I seen a lot of comments stating people wished there was an alternative for your DIY’s that didn’t require a laser jet printer. Not many people seem to have them. The clear labels will work for ink jet printers. There are still a lot of alternative products and ways to make some of what you do work for an ink jet. It feels like people are calling out for those solutions. Thanks for replying.
