Can't you just use public WiFi and a stolen laptop? I never understood the need to "hide". Make an obvious trail back to someone else or nothing. Especially in a country setting where there isn't "big brother" watching. They'll narrow it down to someone who lives within 12 hours of that spot.... which could be fucking anyone.

Mitnick is not the greatest, he was only the first real hacker. Keep in mind he started in early 80`s when very few if any even new what hacking is. Hence he got this incredible aura around him. also, his hacking happend in those early days of computer scinece when security was a joke and no one really knew about hacking and dangers of hacking so it wasnt dificult at all to hack. It was during eatly dial-up days for goodness sake. thats a walk in the park to hack, even back then. Mitnick is far from greatest. Best hacker are not caught btw and there are some mind blowingly good hackers today that will never be caught and are behind some things taht happened in the dark that you fellas will never know about.
Gary McKinnon even states in interviews the NASA computers he hacked had no passwords or security and was a novice using basic ass shit. The IT guys at NASA cloned these no password setups onto a lot of computers so he bounced around using the insecure ones primarily. He also did find evidence of aliens; of coverup / image editing to hide alien craft and structures, and The Space Corp / Solar Warden space fleet of reverse engineered alien technology... Also, Gary said a lot of countries and users were in those computer systems before, during, and likely still after.
