Enjoyed your shop tour video. I enjoy building guitars too but have not tried doing any videos of my builds. Need to try. Got into building guitars similar to you watching you tube videos and as an extension to my furniture building hobby. My shop is about 6 and 1/4 meters by 7 1/4 meters and I have a lot of bigger tools but like you enjoy using hand tools. Most of my guitars I have made I use either flame or quilted maple for the top laminated to cherry, maple, poplar, walnut or mahogany woods and use maple, cherry, walnut, mahogany, bubinga, purple heart and zebra wood for the necks. Love to see the wood grain come out with dyes and polyurethane. Good luck with the vintage show.

An idea for your workbench. I'm 6'4", so I feel your pain. I built a 2'x2' box with a 1/2" MDF top that I can move off to the side when I need the full bench. That way you don't need to raise the entire bench. Welcome back!
Yeah, I'm 6'5". It sucks that we are never catered for.

Glad you’re back mate and it refreshing to learn that you and I have been tracking on a similar course albeit I’m years behind ha.
I’ll be attending a building course early next year with Ormsby guitars over here in Western Australia and I already have a couple of builds under my belt with many more to come.

I see we have somethings in common..... hehehehe ikea shelves, shinto, iwasaky, japanese saw, n.7 and small block plane, and of course, LONG HAIR \m/ \m/ ROCK ON!!!
And someday i'll have a guitar built by me.... i hope.... i'm actually building a workbench out of some free palettes so that i can start doing some real wood work

Was re watching your control cavity template vid yesterday. I don’t have copy rings, so I had to come up with a different method of making mine. However, it worked wonderfully! The idea is similar to the copy ring method.
Printed template of control cover with screw locations, as well as location of drilling points for the pots.
Body template has pot locations marked for indexing cavity.
Drill through body for pots
Trace cavity cover template on separate mdf sheet to make an outline, cut out and shape until you get a proper fit.
Using 2 drill bits, line up the cover plate with the pot locations on the body
Place cover outline template and secure
Remove cover template
Route down 6mm first for the cover recess
Here’s the trick to this method:
I placed a 20mm bearing on a 12mm bit, which gave me a 4mm offset to create my lip.
Then I placed 6mm dowel over the screw locations, and spot glued them in. This allows for extra meat for the screws, and the 4mm offset will route around the tabs, giving plenty of wood for the screws.
Then I routed for the cavity. Removed dowels and voila! Worked like a charm.
Your video def helped me to come up with this method! Keep up the good work!

I enjoy the concept of primary use and secondary use tool storage, I finally built my tool wall for primary guitar tools and love it. Being in a small space makes you think about the building process in a different way for sure.

I've just bought a Laguna 14/12, you will not be disappointed. Only thing I don't like is the wheel kit is not as stable as I would I but as I am not planning on moving it too often it's not a big problem

I did the one week (6 days) course.
To be honest...
I don't know how the course is run today, but for me personal I should have stayed in my own workshop for the week and spend the money on a few good guitar building books and some good tools.
