  • 🇎🇧 | In our “People” pillar we state that the keywords are Açorianidade, Culture and Education. And that we believe that these words convey the unique feeling of what is to, historically, geographically, socially, and philosophically, being Azorean. ðŸĪ—
Here enters Carolina Marques / carolina.marques123 . Azorean. Aspiring Video Editor. But more than that, aspiring to impact the World through lens that captures stories that showcase our Azorean world. A student educated in Polytechnic Institute of Tomar / iptomar and now at The University of Salford / salforduni where she is doing a Master of Arts on Wildlife Documentary Production.
In 2021, an aspiring, yet quite inspiring, young Azorean student came to us. She was doing an internship in a local TV production company, @AtlÃĒntidaTV and she wanted to do a documentary. Several talks after and the idea was formed. And alongside our team, Carolina started her journey into a new world. As the old sailors, Carolina faced the sea into the unknown. She knew what she wanted but not what to expect.
At the age of 22, her first sea expeditions. For weeks she was a part of us, learning with our lookouts, marine biologists, skippers and remaining team. She became, like us, a Guardian of the Azores. Feeling new things and being transformed as a professional, but more, as a person that wants to tell stories about others.
We change the world step by step. All of us. We are extremely proud of the work Carolina Marques did as she captured the essence of this story. One of passion, for showing the intrinsical value of cetaceans and the need to safeguard these magnificent creatures. The change in the relationship that the whale watching brought between the Azoreans and them.
Sometimes, in our ordinary world, we tend to forget the impact on the extraordinary world of others. Carolina, thank you for reminding all of us of the impact we have and how that can change others due to powerful memories. 🙏
ðŸ‡ĩðŸ‡đ | No nosso pilar “Pessoas” afirmamos que as palavras-chave sÃĢo Açorianidade, Cultura e EducaçÃĢo.
Aqui entra Carolina Marques.
Mudamos o mundo passo a passo.

Thank you for this wonderful video, the recordings are simply indescribably impressive and really inspired me. By the way, a very warm greeting to Andreia Pereira, whom I got to know on a whale watching tour in 2017. Back then we saw a lot of orcas. A beautiful memory. âĪ🐎âĢ
