    I run both the Theiling RollerMat (over a year) and the Klir DI-4 ( since release)and love it. I even found an alternative source for the roll material for the Theiling Rollermat so I can get double the capacity for the same price.

    Hey... look at you all grown up with a fleece filter and all 😊. As I said in a previous video I am using these for the last two years (first a theiling rollermatt than a gen 1 clarisea) and would not setup another tank without one! It is total bliss not to have to worry about clogging socks, cleaning socks, and the water is always pristine. I use heavy duty tape (the black thick one) when I change the rolls and as long as I tape front and back I can push the new roll with it. Congrats!

      @@cherrelle3231 they told me they would send me 2 new units because of the flaws in there released product. I have been waiting 2 yrs for the release of the klir. Was terrible since the morning after. No instructions to build units and first night exhausted 2 new rolls.could keep going but just buy a different brand . its convenient to replace the socks with these but its definitely not a set it and forget it. There is supposed to be fixed units but I am still trying to get a refund as I have already sent them their units back and they still haven't sent me the new ones. Highly disappointed as well as frustrated with the customer service.

    I am holding off for sales MD tends to do sales around this time of year but I have roughly 10 1/2 inches of space from the top of my sump to my tank Would you feel this would fit in the door area is framed So when going on i have to lean it into the sump to get that 10 inches to clear the framing . I know the sump area where I have room hold about 9 inches of water. And you plumb your return right into the roller correct ?

    • @ReefDudes
      @ReefDudes  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, i plumbed it off of my main drain. You don thave to hang it on the side, you could also just sit it in the sump. WIth the hangers my comes up about 5" above the sump rim

    Hey man, how did you connect your drain to the outlet on the Clarisea? I'm from Canada and the outlet is 32 mm for Canadian Sk-5000 models I'm informed. Ye-ha :p

    • @ReefDudes
      @ReefDudes  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ross Petersen where did you buy it from? I have seen UK and US versions. If your in Canada you can with just change the Elbow to a 1” one. Or order an 32mm > 1” adapter from reefsupplies to convert metic to standard.

    I’d like to purchase one, but my fear is that when the new section of fleece in roller comes on contact with water it will drive the skimmer nuts. I have this problem with new filter socks but this problem goes away over multiple uses of the socks...something in the socks the material make the skimmer go nuts...was this the case with your Clarisea??

    • @ReefDudes
      @ReefDudes  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      TheHelicapt I didn’t really notice any change with my skimmer (although I have had it on the tank since I upgraded it). But with changing rolls there is no big change.

    In every video I’ve seen on these they all seem loud, bubbling water ect. My sump is almost silent and although I like the idea of these I don’t like the idea of the noise. It’s a shame cas it’s really put me off them.

    • @ReefDudes
      @ReefDudes  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Darren's Marine World the water flow through it is silent. If they are bubbling I suspect it’s their drains not tuned not the roller. Only noise from mine is. 2 second motor noise when it advances the dirty roll

    Why not show us how you hooked up the drain line to the unit? I mean you basically just showed us how to put it together. I'm sure qe could have figured that out. But you placed it in a large area of the sump , all I can think how much of the water is not making it though the fleece roller. Sorry but this was a poor video.
