I'm an atheist. Doesn't matter. Prince of Egypt is a beautiful movie, and it's criminally underrated.

I'm kind of sad he didn't mention "The Plagues" from The Prince of Egypt, which in my opinion, is one of the greatest moments in animation history.

I just want to point out that the Moses from Prince of Egypt is much more acurate to the Bible Moses.

Can I just say, the song from Prince of Egypt, The Plagues is one of the best songs in a musical ever?

It's a good thing one of the categories wasn't "Best Score", because Prince of Egypt would win hands down.

The main thing I appreciate between the two movies, is that if you did peel away the religious elements (which is stupid, since they're retelling the story of Exodus, but I hear some people that try and do that), Prince of Egypt still stands as more entertaining and engrossing. It feels more like Ten Commandments is a religious movie that happens to be entertaining, while Prince of Egypt is an entertaining movie that happens to be religious, if that makes any sense. TC works better if you're specifically trying to tell the Exodus story verbatim, but PoE works better if you just want to watch a movie.

Prince of Egypt's God was actually voiced by the entire cast, Val Kilmer's voice was underscored by the others whispering

Disagree with yoou on the best Moses, because Moses was in the bible a man who was humble, scared (he made 4 excuses NOT to go and safe them), he felt guilty for slaying a man, and was slow of speech (that's why his brother Aaron is actually the one that rallies up the people to follow him).

Can we agree this two were better than Exodus: Gods and Kings?

This is one of the better animated films i have ever seen. Even without nostalgia it holds up well.

While I can see how Doug would like a more empowered and BA depiction of Moses, the Prince of Egypt version is actually more accurate. Moses wasn't really all that intimidating. In fact, he didn't really have much confidence in himself at all and many believe he had a speech impediment of sorts (at the very least, he wasn't great at speech)

Gah, I freaking love the Prince of Egypt. It is one of my favorite movies of all time, I do love how they portrayed God; the portrayal was so beautiful and terrifying, but in a good way, all at the same time. THE SOUNDTRACK!! It is one of my favorite film soundtracks HANDS DOWN. The River Lullaby portion of Deliver Us is so beautiful and haunting and The Plagues is COMPLETELY EPIC. The Burning Bush score legitimately makes me cry it is so lovely. There is not a single part of this movie that I ever skip through.

The idea that Moses is the “Everyman who doesn’t want to be there” is more biblical

Moses was actually the Everyman, he wasn’t confident, and had a stutter.

Prince of Egypt is a wonderful movie. I'm on the fence of Agnostic/Atheist, So I'm not exactly a very religious person. Seriously though, that movie is an all time favorite of mine.

Personally, I think The Prince of Egypt is better in every way imaginable, but that may just be my bias speaking. I still believe that film is DreamWorks's magnum opus.

Ah, those wacky Moses brothers; Moses Moses and Ramses Moses.
