Ken with the gems 💎✨️
I am a 45-year-old. Veteran. I want to work for you free.
Ken likes to hire people "for free." I'm shocked you would even entertain that idea. Don't you have principles? You let young people with no power and no resources work without paying them? That is shameful behavior. You should be embarrassed for even suggesting that. If you have permitted young people to work for you for free, you should be ashamed of yourself.
I started in my early 20s.
Independence, freedom, grind.
Tip for reader. Dont listen to others for experience. Get out there and do it.
Another tip for the younger audience. 5:11 Make sure the expectations are firmly established with the business owner or you might be walking away broker than you started. Business is always a two way street! Unfortunate but the older is wiser and usually will find a way to outgame the younger.

@@Superchargedturbos What are you doing?
Ken, you are so right. I waited too long before starting my own business. I was a victim of corporate restructuring and was faced with a 50% pay cut as a top producing sales person being replaced by computer generated replenishment systems. An older friend of mine who was a self-made millionaire with not even a high school diploma convinced me that I had the skills to start my own business. It took many years of hard work to build a good team and a solid customer base but now we are a multi-million dollar company. My only regret is working over 20 years for the same company before making the move.
That's awesome! Don't feel bad though, if you inspect the past you'll find any delinquency in one area simply afforded growth in another. There's no way to lose 😁
What kind of business did you end up starting. And how did your friend with no high school diploma become a multi millionaire
@@shomaribouletyes, I look forward his answer
@@shomariboulet : Situations teach people skills. A diploma/degree will teach you from theory & books. A person who can't afford higher studies will eventually work somewhere and get the ground level realities on their face and learn how to grow. Degrees and diplomas are not necessary to achieve success in the real world.
The reason you start a business in your early 20's is because when you fail it's easier to pick yourself back up. That's it.
Basically
@@TalismanHarry. How do you do that? Why do I fail all the time
@meirbek241 I'm not sure what exactly you're doing, but if you ask me, I've filed in 9 businesses before, and I realised everyone was right but not forever. My point is it's normal failing when you are starting out. That's something my dad allows you to tell me. Just try different fonts of a different system of your business or company. And make sure you have a goal and a very strong plan on how you are going to go from 0 to 10,000 and 10,000 to 100,000 and 100,000 to 1000000 it's very easy when you start with one business and that business feeds the other or the two others. But yeah myself I'm still trying my best and I'm more forward and doing everything religiously so you should too prioritise one thing and one thing only your business ues the lil bit of money you have. And find a mentor and learn from him/her.

If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life
True words spoken. Take responsibility for your own life basically. I vibe with that.
The first step to successful investing is figuring out your goals and risk tolerance either on your own or with the help of a financial professional but is very advisable you make use of a professional like I did. If you get the facts about saving and investing and follow through with an intelligent plan, you should be able to gain financial security over the years and enjoy the benefits of managing your funds.

I just sold a property in Alabama and am considering investing the proceeds in stocks. I know everyone says the market is ripe, but is now a good time to buy? How long till complete recovery? How are other people in the same market making over $200k in months? I'm genuinely bewildered at this stage.
Yes, a good number of people are making significant 6 figure gains in current decline, but such methods are generally effectively employed by those with in-depth market knowledge.
Very true. Despite having no prior investing knowledge, I started investing before the pandemic and pulled in a profit of approximately 950k that same year. In reality, all I was doing was getting professional advice.
How can I participate in this? I sincerely aspire to establish a secure financial future and I am eager to participate. Who is the driving force behind your success?
I would say a little due diligence on "Dianne Sarah Olson" truly exceptional.
thanks for tips. it was easy to find coach. did my diligence on her before emailing her. she seems proficient considering her resume
Now that I'm older I lost my business "bug." I see technology killing old ways of doing things, nothing meets my scaling criteria, and it's hard to stay relevant even for big companies.
So you didn't escape metrics.
I started a construction buisiness at 20 as a young Dad who needed more income. I think your right though I was an anomaly because I had got into construction at a young age with my Dad. Instead of the typical high-school and then college I was homeschooled and worked in my teens. By the time I was 20 I had 10k to invest in a buisiness and value to add to the market.
I think starting young has advantages, like the ignorance which allows you to take more risks, as well as the eagerness to improve the systems that are already practiced.

So the answer is to still start your own business, but just seek employment with an industry you want to start in for experience & post college education.
The issue I see going forward, is now that the US is stuck in a debt spiral & tech changing the economy. Industries like properly management probably aren't going to work. Consider that Commerical real estate is now in a long term bear market because of empty office buildings & legalized shoplifting in many blue states. Very likely era of cheap & easy credit is over & the US is stuck in a long term stagflationary economy that will transition into a hyper-inflationary depression.
With consumers & business deep in debt & most insolvent I am not sure what will be worthwhile to invest in that will return strong profit & growth over the next 5 to 10 years.
You’re wrong. You don’t need experience, post college or even college education to start a business. Some of the greatest entrepreneurs have never worked a job in their life like Steve Jobs, Zuckerberg and Gates and they also all dropped out. It all starts with a vision and dedication.
@@McFlashh All those people were going when to college. Gates family was already very wealthy, and Apple had a season business man Ronald Wayne to help them get started. Gates & Zuckerburg stole the work of others for a product. Gates Bought 86-Dos from Tim Paterson, changed the name & sold it to IBM.
Your also cherry picking a very few number of people. Most people need some mentors to get started: Just learning about taxes, payroll, & basic business process is a handful. Unless the persons parents have run their own business & would recommend starting a business head first without some training or mentor to rely on.
FWIW: I started my own business when I was in my late 20s & still am self-employed.
There is no formula for getting rich. What works for one person might not work for another. I know smart businesses men that knew their stuff and went broke and i know people who cant do their pants up and are billionares. No one wants to hear this but its all luck
1. Dial in on a niche so work doesn’t feel like work
2. Master it by spending 10k hours on that skill/niche
3. Find communities and groups of professionals in that particular niche that are of value and interact with them. Network equals network
4. Find a mentor
5. Be so valuable that your so confident in your work that you can give it for free to your employer
6. Destroy your limiting belief and think big, the world is yours, nothing to lose but everything to gain

If you are in your 20's save up cash, buy property.
Build yourself a modest house in a market with excessively high housing prices driven up by AirBNB's.
I my market a 1500 sq ft run down houses built in the 50's are listed for $629k.
Buying land and building myself will cost me less than $180k. The new house would list for over $700k in this market. Live in the house 2 years while you start building the next one. Qualify for a 250k single, 500k married capital gains tax exemption on the sale of your primary residence. (section 121 tax exclusion?.
Get going and if you get a loan for the first house... you'll be 100% cash going into the second house. A millionaire by the 3rd house in 6 years.
Saying the market is high because of Airbnb is wild - nobody likes staying in airbnbs anymore unless they are that of luxury (which would never compete with a “modest house”). Issues are absurd Inflation and rising interest rates
Need to be making 6 figures to do this in the first place
@jacobmansfield-go9fz , no you don't. If you live conservatively. You can buy property and build a modest house for less than $120k.
Then you live in it for 2 years and sell it for 2-3x what you have into it.
You can build up savings and slowly build larger houses for larger profit.
It's possible to build a house for $60/sq ft in materials.
@@badinstinctsTH-cam-xb3oj, DIY. I grew up in a family of tradesmen. Worked construction to put myself through engineering school.
@PapaSplat , in the little town of 4k people where I live, there are a couple of resort/condo properties but no hotels. Airbnb's make $50k plus a season. If the economy tanks, some may hit the market. Most of them DEFINITELY aren't luxury.
Slightly remodeled houses built in the 50's.
A wise saying about investing according to my Friend who is a CFA is to be Patient and Think Long-Term. She said, “The stock market is a device to transfer money from the impatient to the patient.”
He says don't start a company in your twenties, And then he says he started a company in his twenties and he's now a billionaire. Lmao. I never clicked away so fast. Thumbs down.
I had a cool business in my twenties, advertising swamped my bank account, revenue was thin, and the business wasn't well received at the time, the idea was mocked and sometimes called a scam although it was 100% legit, I decided to end it faster than it began. Now a very similar business, as seen on the tv show "Shark Tank" (was loved by all the sharks), that company was sold to another company for millions of dollars.
Thanks for your videos. I completely agree. Work for free. Surround yourself with successful people.
The Problem is that Most 20 year olds have only spent their lives in Public Schools learning to be a cog in a wheel. There is a complete lack of teaching kids a trade when they are in the system - therefore they are completely caught flat footed when they hit the real world.
We homeschool and start teaching our kids a work ethic as soon as they can walk. We teach them how to be property managers, flip homes, book keeping, etc etc we run multiple businesses and start teaching them these skills at a very young age.
I believe that if parents stopped trusting the government to prepare their kids for their future and started surrounding their kids with wise successful people and giving them “tools for their tool belts” we would have a much different story out there.
Totally stands there, I'm 23, graduated from Industrial Engineering in one of the best institute in my country, got a bachelor's degree, got a job, but I feel like getting scammed by the overall system, I quit and replanning all of this, gotta be ready to start somewhere. And it hits me really hard, what did I do all this time, brainwashed by government and conglomerates. They teach us to become obedient, to survive life. But didn't teach us how to WIN in life. I want to WIN, not only survive. And I will. We will.
the goverment knows that , and needs this kind of people , We can't all be leaders and thinkers, the government needs workers and ordinary people
Love when you share personal stories. It feels so genuine, unlike other "real estate gurus" who pretend to be rich and have the perfect life style.

This happens with both trading assets (technical) and poker. Approaching 10,000 hours on the felt or online and watching candles develop on the chart you become much better at both. The experience itself adds to the edge over time and for me I started to see this after a few thousand hours. Very interesting..

Stay in the food truck. Your overhead is almost nothing. Stay mobile. Restaurants fail way more than not.
@BlackSun90 yeah you gotta lower the cost much as possible. But I already pay 1k a month to rent a commercial kitchen. By law it's required for trucks. So after I obtain all the equipment for the location. The costs will still be like 1500 a month. And I can open a 2nd and 3rd food truck. Since if I opened more trucks without a location. I will be paying 1k per food truck per month to rent a kitchen. If that makes sense.

Yeah so true. Truth is starting a business is how some people got rich... like they sold stuff to make money.... WTF is this dude taking about he makes money literally selling housing?

Work for "free" has an odd ring to it and may not resonate too well. If one is truly business minded, then they know at some point they will need to work for a long-term "profit," not a short term wage. Be profit oriented, not wage oriented, running out the door as soon as the business day has ended.
Ken cut his teeth at Goodman Real Estate and Pinnacle PM which was learning from the very best at the time. He’s the real deal.
I think you can only ever approach mastery. The closer you get to mastery the more you realize it’s just out of reach. Anyone who did some calculus would really understand this concept.
Small deals suck compared to larger deals
Boomers just won't shut up
As a 40+ broke hobo, I can verify this is a good advice. Although because of your enormous greed wanting people to work for you for free, many would not take this serious and would rather think you're some sort of a clown. That's pretty funny.
Wife and I are 33 with about $800k in investments, excluding home equity and rainy day funds. I've always strived to stay on top of my finances, hoping that being disciplined in my 20s would allow me/us to have more breathing room in our 40s+ but it gets hectic, should we get a partner?
I do hope to help educate younger people on finances after I leave my corporate 9-5.
Look around,, there are always people who made it this way,,, talk to them,, may be they are your friends,, maybe relative or maybe coworker or your Boss 😊
The part of get some experience before starting your own business, is actually a good advice!
The part of "work for free", definitely not. I get what you are trying to say, but that's not the right framing in my opinion. Focus first on work hard, learn, grow professionally, and and second in the compensation or the benefits. But from there to "I will work for free", no my dude. I will do my part and try to excel at your organization, you do your part and pay me, thank you.
Does anyone know how to find the events/conferences that are for your specific niche ?
if I don't make you money, I don't get paid ... what does that mean when you provide no security to people and only would pay them if they perform and generate income, that's not a job, that's a low end sales job with empty promises of making it later.. again you're not planning to make 500k this year later.. it's this year - where you'll end the year as the major shareholder who cuts whatever check they like for themselves, and them holding a smelly bag and a commission check. That's not a fair deal papa. - Include people in the structure of the company, give them long term benefits and security, and then see if they can generate commissionable income .. provide security for people, that's true leadership, not making money and security for yourself only and having people work around the clock for you for ultimately nothing in the end. Where they have to start all over again in order to create something for themselves.
Kids, if you're reading this and you're just starting out- stop selling your self cheap.
They have no skills and they have no capital.
People love to exagherate their accomplishments, especially on the internet. They'll say, "I started a million dollar construction company when I was 25!"
What they don't tell you is that they're in extraordinary debt, their business is failing and they can barely afford to eat. It's not the case for all of them, but I would venture to say it is for most.
Especially in this economy where people can't afford to pay what you have to charge in order to make a profit.
There are plenty of decent paying jobs out there that give you plenty of free time. You just have to find them and learn to manage your money until you have a comfortable amount to chase other goals outside of it.
The idea that there's no reward without extreme risk is a load of horse crap
So how long did you work for free when you started?
Started my own business at 19 then went to school for business and in less than 2 years knew how to grow and manage properly.
great job bro. i think starting a business at a young age is good. because THATS where you learn..
Okay, you're right about that most people in their 20s can't start a business yet because they still have a kid mindset. When my bills came do and my landlord wanted rent all I had to do was say I am working for free for a multi billon dollar firm and they said okay and let it all go.. lol not.
