This is a fascinating video clip on how wire wheels were made! In the early 1920s wire wheels were a rare feature only found on very expensive custom cars. Spoke wheels made with hickory wood were phased out in the late 1920s. Steel wheels without spokes became mainstream later in the mid-1930s and were cheaper to produce.
Spoke wheels were still very much in style but not for long. The bigger presses capable of stamping out disc wheels were already being used on bigger and more expensive cars and eventually Ford adopted them. Thanks for watching!
What a masterpiece ! Each and every wheel
A mechanical piece of art. Thanks for watching!

Tons more pieces of steel to be welded than on my Deluxe Fordor. Always love the music on these video's
Thanks for watching and commenting on the music!
Great video! I'm sure that the Model A wheels were made the same way.
Seems like it would be the same or similar. Thanks for watching!
Muy bueno!!
Gracias!
Good Gosh is that time consuming! I don't understand why steel disc wheels weren't more common by 1928.
