I'm honestly shocked how much better the Mattel one is, despite being so much older!
I think it was more expensive when it first came out so there’s that, not really the same price point. But yeah, still impressive despite its age.

Wow, I wouldn't have guessed this before watching the video, but it would be Mattel hands down for me. Literally the only thing I like better about the McFarlane are the extra red strips on the back hood. Other than that, the Mattel out classes it on every other level. It just pops where the McFarlane is just kind of there. Fun video.
Cool review! Just FYI - on the actual show, Batman & Robin "Sat" on their capes while driving No capes Flappin in the wind over the canopy.
It’s nice but the JADA 1/18 scale version is nicer because the doors hood and trunk opens and it lights up. Great video love the details
Mattel Batmobile with the McFarland Batman figures

That gloss is very nice. The Batmobile popped in the show. Mattel is better representation and figs the figures better. I wonder if the Mattel figures had narrower hood to fit in the car better? Right now Black Series Ponda Baba and Dr. Evazan are cruising in my McFarlane Batmobile.
I got the Mattel Batmobile.in stores years back and had gotten the Batman and Ridler figures. Couldn't find Robin without having to but a 3 pack. When Mcfarlane released the 66 series....I thought it would be a great opportunity to buy Batman again and Robin ( which was way easier to obtain than Mattel version ). Comparing the Mcfarlane to Mattel when it comes to their figures...Mcfarlane wins for me. When it comes to the Batmobile....easily Mattel's version is better.
I got the Mattel because I do care about scale but I agree with you that the McFarlane figures are better than the Mattel ones. My only complaint with the Mattel one is the seatbelts. I had to use tweezers or needle nose pliers to get he figures buckled in. I also don't have the capes trailing behind them... I just had them tucked behind the figures.
This video convinced me to get a McFarlane one too because, as you said, it's cheap and I could see it being great for Smaller figures... I'm sure I have some 5 inch Kenner Batman figures that would be a great fit for the McFarlane one.
Also if the Classified are too big I bet the Mattel Justice League,Aquaman figures would fit perfectly. Also Ghostbusters plasma series since they are bit smaller than classified.
I like the Mattel version, but the mcfarlane figures are scaled more like the Mattel bat mobile. And fit it a lot better… Great video!
I think....the pouches on the back by the turbine, are the stopping parachutes...I could be having a Mandela effect happening though. Lol thanks for the great video sir! Preciate ya!

I had to cut my Mattel Batmobil open with an knife so I didn't ruin my box. It took a while but it worked. So now I can put it back in the box and it still looks great.

The Mattel one is better it is actually made for 6 inch figures where as the McFarlane one fits 6 inch figures but is made for 4 inch figures I think the only thing McFarlane one does better is the ruber tires instead of Mattels Plastic ones. If You have the Mattel one though the McFarlane Gold Label Jokermobile will compliment it nicely it will be like the Joker tried to clone the Batmobile but failed to get it right so it's a smaller clown sized Batmobile And the Joker stting down being taller than the windshield adds to the clown car aesthetic.
Those pouches in the back are for the dragster style parachutes to help stop ….
The rubber fins are so that children don’t get hurt mostly and of course they won’t break as easily had they been brittle

Great comparison. Because of scale and appearance, it is Mattel Batmobile for me all the way. I was fortunate enough to find the Mattel Batmobile complete with the 6-inch Batman and Robin at retail a few years ago and grabbed it and now I am so glad I did. It's huge but it looks great on my shelf. I still have it sealed inbox. Keep up the great work.

Those "Pouches" in the back are actually parachutes for the batmobile to be able to stop quickly/suddenly when the turbine is going

This is like an inversion of the issues with the 4 inch Batmobiles, with Funko's being stumpy, and Super 7's being the correct length. Funko's was nice and shiny though, whereas Super 7 had a matt finish. For the 6 inch there's no competition to me - Mattel all the way!

@@MichaelMercy i have to agree with you on your evaluation. The two big items i notice are the presence the mattel has with its vibrant shine and the paint app details especially on the bat symbols on the wheels. To me that was a major one the other one is missing.
I wish Mattel would also do the '89 Batman line as well as the B. Returns figs. The '89 Batmobile from Mattel would have been so awesome. I was lucky to buy this Batmobile back then when it was on clearance at Toys R Us. I kept mine in the box as well as the Mattel figs in the packages. Yeah, Mattel did a great job on this one. The only good things from McFarlane's one are the headlights and the rubber tires.
Great video. This one is a tossup cause Im a pretty hard stickler for scale so the Mcfarlane one is a loss on me but price wise its great. Also the Mcfarlane one gives me a great opportunity to paint it up which I love to do especially if you see me spaming the discord every few days :P In the end I like the looka and size of the Mattel one but id be getting the Mcfarlane cause of price and paintability.
The T handle in the center console by the fire extinguisher should be underneath the siren light pointing downwards, is it moveable to the put where it should be? As that is the emergency bat turn lever

I was so mixed on the McFarlin. In one hand it is solid with rubber wheels but on the other hand it can only sit thinner shorter 6inche figures. So Cyclop and Jean Grey riding together wont really happen. Jean can fit but Cyclops is a bit too big. But those rubber wheels roll so good... It's OK Wolverene fits into the cockpit next to Jean pretty well. lol

price aside, there's really no doubt which one is better -- mattel for the win.
Other than the ertha kitt, I’m cool on the mac line, I do have all of the Matty line though

🖖😎👍Yes the Mattel one is extremely the better of the two, but I own the nice Die cast ones in the 1/18th scale and and the 1/50th scale ones as well as 1/64th scales.
I grew up seeing the show, so I order one and I'm I collect them but now I'm fighting to get my money😢

Very awesome, but runs a touch high for me at over $150. However, the scale looks fantastic! I'm on the fence for this ....
I get that Mattel paid more attention to alot of details, and it scales better with the figures, but I can't get past the rear canopies. They got those WAY off. Too short and too narrow. Mcfarlane on the other hand got them more accurate. The tires on the Mcfarlane are rubber and the wheels, although not as detailed in terms of paint apps, are a more detailed casting. The mattel tires are hollow plastic. So, Mcfarlane wins there, too. I think Mattel is aimed more at collectors, whereas Mcfarlane created a line intended to be played with. So, in that respect, the Mcfarlane is perfectly fine. But, for me personally, it always goes back to those canopies on the Mattel. I just can't unsee it. Lol. Nice review.

Cost $100 buck it came out didn't like plastic tire ill took my apart put detailed inside make a hole in trubine put a light.

Boy are you late to this Mattel series… I had to make paint corrections on the McFarlane Batmobile…You know that there is another version of the Mattel Batmobile in box with the figures seated inside the Batmobile… The bat symbols on McFarlane Batmobile look alittle off to me… But you diss great review and missed on detail on the Mattel Batmobile… The Batmobile Turn lever on the arm rest area should have been in between the upper canopy pillar where that sign is…Ertl is now part of the Tomy/Takara toy company… ATM Models/Ertl/Johnny Lightning/ etc…Oh… I’m a new subscriber now… great review again…
I got the mattel one when it was new. That is bang for your buck then. Mc farlane to me is disappointing. Mattel figures sit better in Mattel batmobile perfectly. Mattel all the way.
A poor effort from mcfarlane if you ask me. Hope the new bat tumblers are going to be better.

Omg,the Mattel Batmobile is far better. The bat isn't colored on the rim. Cool that the tires are rubber on the Mcfarlane. Yea,the beam on the hood,it was gold colored. Cant put flames coming outta the turbine..that can be remedied. The becon on top..better than Mcfarlane. Bottom line is,whatever may not quite be solid on the Mattel..still better. I'd put my money on Mattel.

No comparison at all....mattel model looks like more complete, McFarlane looks like they never finished it and out of scale....
