For your information Nick, most local people call central and east java as 'Java/Jawa' because they're speaking Javanese. For West Java, most people especially in West Java are speaking Sundanese. If people from west java want to go to their home town in the central/east java they usually say 'Saya mau pergi ke jawa/I want to go to Java'
