    Stock cars today are way way faster then in the old days. Also back then you want to build your car to get Major horsepower and at that point you typically knew how to Handle it but today anyone with good credit can go out and buy in 800 horsepower hellcat in get himself into trouble easy.

    Meatball checking in bro-love your videos. A couple things i keep seeing people do. I see people put the gear shifter in manual(M)and then use the paddles to shift and then put the gear shifter back into auto to be in auto. I really don’t understand why. For people out there that don’t know-you don’t have to touch the gear shifter unless you’re going to shift the gears manually with the gear shift knob itself-but for the paddles-all you have to do is make sure they are ON in whatever mode in you’re in on the SRT Screen. Ok so, if you want to downshift just tap the left paddle and you’ll down shift and the right paddle to upshift-now,if you want to go back to automatic then hold the right paddle in for a second or two and it will go back into auto...simple! Now here’s a 3rd thing that the SRT guys thought of that not too many people know-i don’t know if it would work for heavily modified like RacerX car but who knows. But SRT built in a roll race feature with the paddles. Again no need to touch gear shifter-So if you are roll racing and you get to the speed-hold in the left paddle (downshift paddle) for a second or so and it will put the car in the perfect gear (for most stock or likely modified cars +maybe heavy modified) then gun it --and it automatically puts it in automatic for the race on it’s own. SRT thought of many things that are kind of hidden. And remember if your doing donuts burnouts hold in traction control button for awhile until the car takes all traction and stability control stuff off completely. Takes a little bit but just keep holding in the button until it says it on screen-That part is pretty much for any make or model I’ve ever had too. Even pickups -oh and one last tip for new SRT owners-if you double tap the SRT button when you first get in your vehicle it will put your car in custom mode without having to go into the pages, just a tip,i didn’t know that for a couple weeks after owning.

  • @SheLuvsBigTre
    @SheLuvsBigTre 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I shouldn’t be giving out this sauce bc I have zl1 now but for 50 roll I used 2nd gear and immediately upshift when the race starts and I smash the gas pedal and usually that split second and the jump out from 2nd to 3rd gear gives max powerband but the shift happens so fast when the race starts that it lets the car keep traction and now u have another shift coming up so you get 2shifts at the start of the race. It’s not all about the hp but how u use it. Lots of people would think I had my car tuned bc most people in hellcats don’t know how to race em. And you’ll catch a lot of wins on the road.

    Question about the Hellcat paddle shifters. With the trans in auto and using the paddles to downshift when you do that and the rpms climb will the trans automatically shift to the next gear at the shift point or do you need to upshift with the right paddle?

    • @mikereeves282
      @mikereeves282 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fastman I think as long as the paddles are “enabled”, you put the shifter in automatic, and hold down the left paddle. It will shift to the lowest available gear and then automatically shift from there.

      Fastman it’s personal preference on whether you like the paddles on the steering wheel or moving the console shifter up and down when it is slid over to the left.....in my previous statement....the console shifter stays over to the right....the car stays in “D”.....if you hold down the left paddle....the car will drop into the lowest gear possible, it will stay in fully automatic mode...so you just mash the throttle and let the car do the shifting
